This salon has outstanding service, they have been so welcoming & warm! I usually struggle with my hair due to volume and thickness. But Dorcas & her mother have been so helpful as well as other members staff with my hair journey! My hair is now beautiful luscious, soft & shiny. The shop has fabulous accessories , service is a solid 10! Would definitely recommend, thank you!

Absolutely amazing, very professional and helpful the mother and daughter took really good care of my hair. I had lock hair for six months and they took it out for me with patience and care. I definitely recommend the salon you will not regret it.

The ladies, a mother and daughter duo, run a wonderful hair salon. Both ladies are professional, putting a lot of care and effort into customer requests. Another lady who I had prior experience with no longer works for the company. This hinders their ability to cater to multiple customers but allows for a more intimate experience. Overall, I highly recommend Yankee Beauty. Their service is top notch and has me coming back regularly for new looks or touch ups. If you have Afro textured hair or want a look not normally done by salons catering to Caucasian hair then definitely give Yankee a try, you will not regret it.

I started using this place a week before the very first lockdown, having just moved to MK, it is very hard to find good black hairdressers. I was very impressed and continue to use them as the service is excellent. It saddens me to see the bad reviews, that one employee can bring the standards down. When I go to any new establishment I get to know the dynamics real quick and I ask questions, yes the lady in question was rude, did hair very well, I never had a problem with her personally as I just do not tolerate bad customer service. When I did not like something the owner and daughter sorted out straight away, for the comments about the rude lady, she is not the sister, but was an employee, never assume unless you take the time to speak with those putting their hands in your hair and ask questions. They are very approachable and with any business, not just black owned it is very hard at the moment with the current climate of the pandemic. I love the fact that I see English, Polish even men seem to use them, that goes to show you the kind of hairdressers they are as not all nationalities will use a black owned business. If they cannot do something they will say, so to those reading my review try them out and make up your own mind, coming from London, I have had to learn really quickly, what establishments not to go to in MK and this is not one of them. @yankee beauty, owner and daughter keep your heads up you are doing a fantastic job in your community.
