I’ve always had a great experience here- staff are friendly, and seem to know exactly how much you want to interact during an appointment. Recently however I went for my first appointment since having my baby and was nervous. I emailed asking if it would be ok for my partner to wait in the salon with my baby in case he needed to feed, and they emailed back immediately reassuring me. During my appointment my stylist was absolutely lush, and I swear she gave me an extra head massage when washing my hair when I said it was my first time out on my own in weeks! Such a small gesture to make me feel comfortable, but at the same time a massive deal for me. Love this place!

I’ve been having my hair cut for many years at Boilerhouse Ouseburn and I can’t imagine going anywhere else anymore. All of the staff are great - Hope, Saskia and Isaac have all done my hair and I’ve loved each cut and colour. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the surroundings are awesome.

I had my first experience doing my eyebrows at Boilerhouse with Lianne and I have been back since and both times it has turned out fantastic. My eyebrows have turned out exactly as I wanted both times with no issues afterward or during. I also got my facial hair waxed the second time and she was also thorough and efficent, and I was also very happy with that result. Lianne answered the many questions I had very professionally and gave excellent advice that reassured me and made me aware of what may happen afterwards but I have had no such issues. Overall really pleased with my experience at Boilerhouse and I will certainly continue to regularly go there for its consistently skilled service, cheap price and lovely staff.

Really happy with both cut and colour by Felix, my hair is exactly as I wanted and looks much shinier and healthier. I highly rate Boilerhouse Ouseburn. I get my wash, cut and blow dry with Isaac. He understands what I want and always does a good job in delivering that. He helped transition my hair from a pixie cut to a long hairstyle over a series of appointments. Hair can look quite awkward in between the two stages but he did a great job every time. I would 100% recommend this hair salon :)

Great salon - moved across from Boilerhouse Jesmond to maintain my stylist - Felix; and have been a couple of times since they opened. All the staff are friendly, professional and have great conversations! Salon layout is spacious and bright and decor is modern and funky with great attention to detail from phone chargers for customers to prosecco! Also So so easy to park - I've been both after work or on a Saturday. I've got naturally curly hair and the staff colour, cut and style it wonderfully - sometimes straight, sometimes curly - depending on my mood! Can't recommend enough - truly look forward to my couple of hours of chill and pampering At Boilerhouse Ouseburn.

The salon is conveniently open late and has a good, relaxed atmosphere with good music and a beer thrown in. The staff are really attentive - Felix is happy to consult with me and discuss the best options for my specific hair type, and always takes a lot of care with the finish. The student discount is handy as well.

Had my hair cut and coloured with Isaac today and I love it! From start to finish he was attentive and made sure we were on the same page with what I wanted. The salon is gorgeous as are all the other staff members who are always smiling and chatting to you. Isaac is brilliant and I thouroughly reccomend him for your hairstyling needs. Will certainly be coming back.

Taken a while to get around to writing this but does not change the fact that Boilerhouse Ouseburn is amazing. Love the feel and decor of the place and once again Felix and Saskia came up trumps with my hair cut and colour. I had been getting a little frustrated with my hair but a couple of suggestions from Felix and a slight change to my cut means I am now super happy with my hair again. More compliments from friends and family mean I will keep going back to this great salon, not to mention the fab Student and NHS discounts. Can also recommend a treatment which is worth it for the head massage alone
