It was my first time coming to the salon and as soon as I entered I was warmly greeted and felt incredibly comfortable. Laura listened well to what I wanted to do with my hair and delivered it perfectly. She communicated clearly and made sure I was happy and comfortable throughout. Already booked my next appointment. This was my first visit to David Harvey's and I was very impressed. I was booked in with Kaylee for a cut and colour (my first time of having a professional colour as I have previously coloured my own hair with mixed results!) She really took her time with my consultation and listened to what I did and didn't want and then interpreted my wants exactly both with the colour and cut. She gave lots of tips along the way as how I can manage my style but didn't give any sales pitch regarding products - having said that I went on to buy two Kerastase products and received a free Room Fragrance. There was a very calm quiet feel to the salon. The wash basins are very comfy and the massage chair an added bonus. They use lovely thin cloths to dry your hair - none of those thick smelly towels other salons use. Also a great selection of teas and coffees. I spent three hours at the salon in the lovely company of Kaylee and it cost me £160.00 including my products - a bargain as far as I'm concerned. They also have a Loyalty Scheme so you earn points and money off. An online booking system and extended opening times which is great for me. I picked the salon based on the web site and it definitely was as advertised.

Finding a new hairdresser is not an easy task, it has to be someone you can trust and feel confident with. I found that person in Claire. Claire is incredibly skilled in colouring and styling. The amount of positive comments she receives speaks volumes. The salon is fab, loved the massage chair whilst having my hair washed. Really impressed when Jonathan (owner) came over and acknowledged me and commented on my hair. This proves how important his customers are. Loved the experience.

She always takes her time to listen and does exactly what I want, I’m not an easy client as I want something different every time I go! I'd never been to a hairdressers before, nor had a pair of scissors touched my hair in 15 years, so to say I was apprehensive is an understatement. I was totally suprised by the experience, it was relaxed, professional and everybody was welcoming. Laura was a top lass and did a mint job. I would definitely recommend.

I Love this salon. I’ve been coming here since it opened 25 years ago and wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Friendly staff, beautiful cut and colour and the products are amazing. Highly recommend this salon. It’s trendy and professional. They serve you hot drinks with a wide selection of coffees and biscuits to compliment.

I've been going to the salon for more years than I care to remember, with Claire, Laura, Emma and other staff too. I love the salon as it is so relaxed and I like to change my colours and styles all the time - nothing is too much trouble and I get great advice against my excesses! Every stylist is highly skilled and experienced - I wouldn't recommend anywhere else.
