I had my hair done by Ruby last weekend for the first time. She did a wonderful job, was very flexible in accommodating my appointment, really put me at ease and my colour looks great. The salon itself is really nice, obviously a labour of love for the owners in the way it's decorated and thoughtful touches like fancy massage chairs whilst you're having your hair washed. I've already made a return appointment.

I love this place. Been coming for many years now. Such a lovely vibe, team are amazing, knowledgable and skilled. I love the choice of drinks which even include a cold beer on a hot day, the head massage and now body massage since the new chairs have been installed, the quality products, the music, the chats and laughs. Such a lovely experience every time and worth every penny. 💆🏻‍♀️💇🏻‍♀️

I wanted to give the gift of a haircut and an Aveda botanical repair professional treatment to my sister in law for her birthday. I knew that she felt she had lost her way with her hair slightly since lock down and was worried that it was dry and damaged. I don’t live in the area so I found the Aveda salon Leaf near her and gave them a ring. Katie the owner was very helpful and we booked her in to see Barry, she then sent me a gift card to give to her on her birthday which was lovely. When my sister in law had her appointment she was delighted with the results, Barry listened to her and styled it exactly the way she wanted, The Aveda botanical repair treatment has made her hair so much stronger and healthier looking. Thank you very much Barry and Katie for a great experience. I would highly recommend this salon.

I cannot recommend this place enough ! I rarely visit the hairdressers or do anything with my hair but I am so overjoyed with the wash, cut and style from Emma. First visit after a friend recommended them to me. Lovely salon, comfortable chairs & staff very welcoming. Appointment & deposit systems were really easy to use. Each workstation was deep cleaned in between customers and, whilst the salon is small, the separations didn't feel claustrophobic. Hair cut was brilliant (thanks Beverly!) I'll definitely be returning!

Bev always does an amazing job of cutting and colouring my hair (and I’ve had a few different cuts and colours along the way!) I’m never disappointed. Having lived an worked away for 30 years, I moved back to Newcastle on 2014. At the have to be honest, the main thing that concerned me at the time was finding the right hairdresser (I'd used the same one where I'd lived in London for 17 years). I needn't have worried, Leaf and Barry in particular, have proven to be outstanding in every respect. At a crossroads with my colour, Barry took control, suggested a bit of a change to warm up the colour and I've not looked back. From arriving to leaving, the team are punctual, professional, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in their clients. I cannot recommend Leaf highly enough. Where else can you go for a superb haircut and colour plus peruse a fabulously eclectic collection of artwork at the same time?

I always love going to Leaf for my haircut and having a good matter with Barry. It’s lovely to build a relationship with your hairdresser. I’ve used big brand hairdressers before that just don’t help you to try new styles but I totally trust the staff at Leaf to give me a haircut that will suit me every time.

I can't praise Leaf & Bev (my stylist) enough. Straight away the staff where very welcoming. All covid requirements in place. Needed a complete restyle from very long hair to a mid length bob. Bev talked me through it all the way & totally reassured me. Bev was also a font of advice from styling to trying a new colour. Fab hairdresser . . Beverley is amazing been coming here for many years. They also do long distance hairdressing . . It may not look amazing but on day five after appointment no washing or even brushing and I'm on an open air boat I think it's looking fantastic
