Not being a local and working away from home I walked in and was greeted by Barry. What a great lad he is. Great barber great chat and a great haircut. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the toon.

I get my hair cut here every 2 weeks, great staff, Lewis (tattoos and curly hair) who cuts my hair always does an excellent job takes his time with attention to detail, always polite staff and easy to get on with which is what you want at your barbers, wouldn't go anywhere else! 5 stars!

I take my 5 year old here all the time and find the staff chatty and my son's hair is always spot on and what I asked for. Today I took my youngest who is 4 and has autism in I was really apprehensive as he hates anyone touching his hair/ears. The young lad with the curly hair was brilliant, superfast and really patient given the fact my son was screaming, moving and totally freaking out. The lad just got on with it. And the bairns hair looked lovely. The only problem I had was he talks so quiet you can barely hear him although my son was on top volume so I could barely hear myself speak either. The lads not chatty but that's fine, today I wanted a haircut not a conversation. The Lasses who work there are all chatty and I always have a good natter with them while they do the bairns hair. I love the style of the shop it's old fashioned but modern. Always clean and I think all the staff are lovely

Called in about 10am on Saturday morning on the off chance. Was seated by a friendly young lady, and after discussing what I wanted, proceeded to cut, shave and shape...as I'd asked. No fuss, minimal chat and a GREAT END PRODUCT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Took my son to Smiths to sort out the feral nest we’ve been neglecting for months, the friendly lady in the shop did a nice job of it and he came out smiling. £6.50 well spent, although now I’m wondering if I should have upgraded to the jobseeker’s cut for an extra 45p.
