I had a full body massage just yesterday and it was really fantastic I strongly recommend it to my friends. The technician was very friendly and professional. I really enjoy it. So much peaceful and relaxing time I had. The only negative thing was about the temperature of the room that was a little low and I feel cold during massage time. Also when the trains passed it was a vibration noise on the roof that disturb the atmosphere because the rail of train pass on the roof. Anyway thanks very much for all services with a reasonable price🌻

I had a great experience with Cheila. I asked for my hair to be cut in a particular way but she gave me some very good advice based on my hair type and we agreed to cut it slightly differently. This worked out really well - I appreciate her expertise and willingness to explain what would/wouldn’t work with my hair. Will definitely be coming back :-)

Upon entry the place feels so relaxing, smells lush and the welcome is lush. I had a 1 hour deep tissue massage, my 1st one ever, it was the most relaxed I have ever been, the oils are lush and the table is comfy. Beth massaged me and it was just unreal, I have to make this at least a monthly treat. Thank you Beth.

Just returned home after having an amazing back massage and facial. The lady was excellent and let you relax whilst she did her magic. The deal was via Groupon. Only (slight) negative is that trains which you can hear run every 12 mins or so, but if you get in the zone , it becomes only slight interruption. It was pleasantly warm , relaxing music and smelt Devine. Booked already to go back.

I had a massage and facial from Beth on the 28/04/22 it was amazing, I have sensitive skin but none of the lovely products irritated my skin and the massage was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend the Arch, which is beautifully decorated

I am so glad I found this salon. I am now a regular customer and feel it is about time I let people know how good it is. Having your hair done is such a personal thing and a friendly atmosphere is important to me. At The Arch, the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Once you are in that chair, you are pampered and know you are in the hands of people who know their stuff. All are excellent stylists. They give good hair care advice where needed which has worked out great for me. My hair is so much better than before. You know it's a good cut when you wash it and it falls back into shape as if you just left the salon. I have also just started having my nails done there, and I am delighted with how they look. If you are coming from out of town like me, the salon is easy to find, it is 50 metres from the historic Newcastle Keep and is about 150 metres from the Central Station. If you are coming by car, there is plenty of on street parking around but failing that, you can park behind the Keep.

Edit: was invited again to get it fixed, very satisfied with the way it was handled, and the result was great. Third the Arch, but this time I had an awful experience. Very friendly staff but I wasn't given the option of choosing the hairdresser, I assumed everyone would be a professional and they wouldn’t just put me with someone in training without asking first. The reason I chose this salon is because I had highlights there 2 times before and my hair looked great. Unfortunately this time was different, the treatment took twice as long and my hair looked okay on salon lights but after a while, when I looked at home, I could see this strange zebra pattern on my hair.

Recently discovered this place online and looked amazing from the start. It’s clean, tidy and looks very smart throughout. I bought my fiance 2 massages as he has a lot of problem areas as he works nights with quite a lot of manual lifting. I wanted this to be a treat for him to relax and feel stress free. He enjoyed it so much he has asked for a treat every month! He commented on the friendly staff, beautiful decor and the amazing massage he received. He said the smell of the oil and relaxed atmosphere made him feel extremely at ease. He brought home a leaflet listing all of the services they provide....wow there are too many to choose from. Knowing they use Eve Taylor products I will also be booking in. Once I decide on treatments that is. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience 😊

Hi all! I decided last minute to get my hair done ready for an event at the weekend. It was long overdue! So late one night I came across an amazing offer on Groupon, (half head of highlights, cut and blow dry). I emailed the salon and got a response pronto the next morning fitting me in on one of the days as requested (today). I was asked to pop in for a colour test to avoid any issues colouring my hair in appointment, which is standard and all went well. I came into the hair salon (which by the way is a lovely unique decor and friendly atmosphere, and welcoming) and I was greeted by a polite young lady and asked to take a seat. The owner of the salon then came over, took my coat and sat me down and offered me a nice drink which was nicely presented to me. She gave me some great advice, complimented my hair and consulted me on colour and cut. During the appointment there were no awkward silences and and we had a lovely conversation and It was nice and relaxed. After the colour I had my hair shampooed and conditioned by yet another friendly member of staff before getting my hair cut and styled with lovely curls. I must say I came out of the salon feeling pampered and refreshed. I love my new hair and I won’t hesitate to book again. The offer was a steal for £29!! Thank you! X

I don't usually write reviews but I have just returned home after my daughter had a cut and blow dry at the salon today and felt I needed to. The experience was incredible, lovely welcoming staff and beautiful salon. My teenage daughter has long thick course hair and she arrived with it in a terrible state. The stylist took time to talk to my daughter and explain why her hair was in such bad condition and suggested how she could improve it. Nowadays salons don't take the time to give advice especially to young adults but their approach was fantastic. Being a teenager she didn't want her hair cut at all but after explaining how important it was she was very happy to take her advice and she was so pleased she did. The cut was fabulous but the blow dry and finishing was superb, her hair was transformed. We will absolutely be returning because we found the whole experience a real treat. Thank you so much.

A bit sceptical at first, wondering if I would get quality results for the money I paid, but in the end I was very happy with the outcome. I trust her 100% it's taken me ages to find a hair dresser that I am so happy with it's worth the 30 mile round trip to have my hair done with her and my hair has never been in such good condition! I really don’t feel like my 5 star review of The Arch does this salon justice! As experiences go, I am always so hesitant when getting my hair done and I’ve left salons in the past with patchy highlights, uneven cuts and I’ve even had to go to the doctors from a stylist running a comb through an unknown birthmark on my head!? However, after today’s appointment at The Arch I couldn’t be more pleased with the results - highlights and a good 6 inches cut off for reference. For a start, the salon is absolutely beautiful, the staff are ever so friendly and my hair now has a new lease of life. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience today and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to find their perfect haircut!

OMG !! I bought a voucher from groupon for a cut and colour, should have been £105, but only paid £30. I visited the salon the day before my appointment to have a skin test, I was met by Michelle and before she done the test I told her I'd had a reaction in the past, so she refused point blank to do my colour, which she was well within her rights to do so. She told me I could either get in touch with groupon to get my money back or I could still visit the salon the next day for a cut and blow dry and intense treatments, to which I agreed. Michelle then gave me in depth advice about my hair, as I have curly frizzy hair. I arrived the next day for my appointment and was met by Cheila, she too has similar hair to mine. She also gave me in depth advice about my hair on what products to use and wrote them all down for me. She done the intense treatment first, as promised, then came the cut and blow dry, and OMG, I absolutely love it, so much so that I actually got quite emotional. The staff at this salon are very professional, very talented, and very friendly. The decor is fab, and I can honestly say I won't be going anywhere else from now on, I've already booked my next appointment. I live in South Shields and I can honestly say the traveling to and from the salon doesn't bother me one bit, as I know I'm going to be over the moon when I walk out of the salon. Amazing service as always I've had a variety of the treatments offered and use the hair services regularly. Super friendly staff very professional and around customers and understanding to needs and willing to help where they can once aware of situations. This little place is a gem of a find. Tucked away under one of the railway arches in town, you can expect to be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff - just don’t forget to ring the doorbell! Cheila is now the person I trust most with my hair - I’ve always been very choosy with hairdressers and have never visited somewhere more than once before deciding that I won’t be going back, but the two times I’ve had my hair done now, I’ve been very impressed. Cheila’a also an absolute pleasure to talk to! This is now my hairdressers because it’s just lovely place to be.

Been going to the arch since it first opened ... it's the most friendliest hair salon I have ever been too.. they make u feel welcome from the minute you enter the salon to leaving . They advise you and what's best for your hair before they do anything. . I feel so relaxed whilst I'm there ..ive even changed my colour of my hair from black to blonde and been advised every step of the way on how to look after my hair through out the change of all the colours my hair will go through and how to look after it whilst it's changing colours... the staff are outstanding would highly recommend The Arch to anyone because once you have been you won't want to go anywhere else x
