Had my first curl cut with Sharrell about a week ago and I can honestly say it is the best haircut I’ve ever had! She was so friendly and helpful, and talked me through the whole process so I can get the best results at home too. My curls have never looked this good, and I’ve never received so many compliments about my hair! Will definitely be coming back - wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

Erica was brilliant, very friendly and so welcoming as a first time client for a curly cut and finish at The Muse Salon. She explained the process at every step and gave valuable advice and drying techniques on how to care for my curls. Erica listened to what I wanted to achieve with my curls. She did an amazing job with the Muse curl cut and finish using Only Curls products and I'm extremely pleased with the results. My curls have never looked so good. Most pleasurable experience! What an amazing experience this way, having never had a curly cut and finish before i didn't know what to expect. I was treated really well had a lovely head massage, and the finish on my curls is amazing. Thoroughly recommend these ladies if this is what you need.

I’ve had many hair cuts and colour treatments by different stylists and salons over the years but I’ve found that none of them have really known how to treat my blonde curly hair properly. They always cut my hair when it was wet, so when it dried it was all different lengths because my curls coiled up in different lengths. The last place I went to, they straightened my hair before colouring it (I never ever straighten my hair so this was really uncomfortable for me, but the stylist said she had to do it to cut and colour it properly and said “it was the only way she knew how to”) this damaged my hair for a while. It took a months for my curls to return back to normal and it put me off having it done again. I’ve never really been happy after a hair cut which is disappointing when you pay a lot of money to feel good and it doesn’t happen. Then I went to Muse. My stylist, Sharrell made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived, she understood what I wanted even though I wasn’t even sure how to explain what I wanted. The dry cut was a completely different experience, no tugging with brushes and combs, no straightening involved and she cut each curl individually taking time to make sure it was perfect. The result was overwhelming, it’s the first time I’ve truly loved how my curls look. I’ve rebooked 2 follow up appointments and I won’t be going elsewhere now. I can’t wait to have colour applied properly by someone who understands curly hair and can’t wait to see the results after a few visits. I highly recommend Muse for any curly girls out there that may have had similar experiences.

WOW. This salon literally saved my hair! I originally booked in a for a texturiser after battling with my natural hair for 3 years. Spoke to my stylist (Keshia) as I was in 2 minds, I wanted to stay natural, but my hair doesn't always cooperate. Keshia gave great advice and suggested a texture release treatment. I have honestly fallen in love with my hair again 😍🥰 can't wait for my next appointment in August! I have found my forever salon ❤

Today Erica saved my hair! Unfortunately due to glue in hair extensions, my hair became matted into the glue and a huge huge knot formed at the back of my head - literally consuming all of my hair. I stupidly left it for ages as it became too much to deal with (and very embarrassing) so had been wearing my hair up every day in a bun to hide the huge mass of knotting. My husband had tried many times with a hairbrush to remove it, but we thought it was beyond help. I searched locally for a hairdresser to help me but no one seemed to want to/be able to help. Even though this salon was a two hour drive from me, it was worth the journey over and over. Erica managed within 3 hours to remove all of the knotting and managed to save so much of my hair. She then washed my hair and dried it - and it has never felt so good to be able to run my fingers through silky hair! So thank you to Erica and you are brilliant at what you do!

I knew I waited too long and needed another curl by curl cut but.... 😲 what a transformation! My hair just hasn't been playing ball lately at all so I visited Erica at The Muse Salon in Northampton again (look at my amazing before and after on her Instagram themusecurls) and got a dry curl by curl cut and pintura highlights (hand painted highlights on certain curls to bring out definition- a game changer fyi). Honestly I cannot recommend her and getting a curl specific hair stylist enough. She really outdid herself this time 👐👏 I know a lot of people wonder if it's worth making the effort to see a curly stylist and honestly it sooooo is if you wear your hair curly and want good even layers and volume (or need good personalised hair tips). Especially great for shorter hair. I usually go about 3x longer between hair cuts so it works out the same imo 🤷 The whole method of cutting is so different to 'normal' hair cutting, and the attention to detail it takes to cut each curl at the right part so it sits right in the layer and to not get a triangle head 👌😂 Each curl has a different level of springyness in my hair (got a weird straighter bit by my ears) so getting normal salon straight layers cut when my hair's wet/straightened gave me very wonky uneven layers when worn curly (i.e how it is everyday ahaha). Also I've had normal highlights before, but this whole pintura thing is a game changer. Normal highlights are put in evenly but don't take into account the clumping of the curls, which can then make the highlights look not as evenly distributed. My curls used to get lost in photos before I ever got highlights, so even if they were defined lovely in real life, it didn't pop as much in photos- and only curly people who really looked for the definition would compliment me. If you're thinking of a change I definitely recommend pintura highlights! Lastly, I've gotta say Erica is also the most lovely hair stylist I've ever had- she really listens to what I want and what I know my hair likes and how I style it, and fully understands the whole curly girl method and lingo (can be like a foreign language lol 😂). Plus she gives great friendly hair advice/new methods to try and explains everything so well. Plus she's friendly, a kind soul, and bloody hilarious 👍 so 100/10 recommend!
