I had my hair done with this professional team yesterday and I’m over excited. I’m very picky about my hair and beauty and Andreea covered all of my expectations. The atmosphere is really nice and I’ve been treated with attention, nice drinks and nice conversation. I will definitely recommend this place to all of my friends but they did the job for themselves already as I can’t stop getting compliments about my hair and color, everyone is asking me straight where I did my hair. At the salon you can find wide range of other procedures, aesthetic ones as well and I’m exited to try them too as I completely trust the professionalism of those people! They having wide range of hair products and most important for me as a woman wearing hair extensions they really good with them too! I will recommend this as a total “go for it” ! Just to make my personal experience more understanding for you my hair had a lot of colors in it as well my natural color and my request was to match my hair extensions- quite big challenge! The results- amazing!

I had a full head bleach with Maiya and she was absolutely amazing!! She managed to get my hair from black to an even blonde and the whole experience was so welcoming! Maiyas is an incredible professional and made sure I was comfortable at each stage and I would recommend this place to everyone!!

I've been to Jacks & Buckley a few times and always love how my hair turns out, but I think this was the best experience yet! Ben was great with colouring it, and he helped encourage my natural curls in the styling at the end of the appointment which is not something I've ever had before. Excellent service, and very friendly staff. Their colour expertise was phenomenal - Ben took me from dyed black to pillarbox red in a single session, with some help from the specialist Olaplex product. They give you wine and/or coffee whilst they work - magical! Also, the resident little Yorkshire terrier, Beryl, was utterly adorable!

First time visiting Jacks & Buckley and the main thing I can say is will definitely be my permanent salon! I haven’t been too well since an accident last week and this was definitely the treatment I needed to make me feel myself again!! Haven’t had a cut for nearly a year and colour/free hair for nearly 5 years, Ben completely transformed it to something a lot better than I could have imagined! He talked me through what type of Balayage would best suit my style, paid close attention to detail throughout and listened and took on my requests to such a high standard! Ben managed to remove a lot of damage from my hair too by trimming it and generally giving it a new lease of life. On a side note - His little dog Beryl is the sweetest thing! 100% recommend anyone who needs a pick-me-up to visit this amazing salon where the staff will always accommodate the best they can and you’ll leave feeling fresh! Their pricing is great too, you will definitely receive what you pay for!! Thank you so much to all of the team there ❤️

It's Christmas time so like most needed to get my hair sorted. The atmosphere at J&B was lovely, decorations up for Christmas etc, But the best thing was as always was the warm welcome that you get as you walk through the door.. As a regular customer at the salon you realy are treated as if it was your first visit, your are looked after from the moment you walk through the door ....you feel special and made welcome by friendly professional people who really enjoy their job. If your wanting a warm friendly place to have your hair looked after by professional caring stylists, then this is the place to be. Oh and the coffee is good 👍

I have always hated salons. I found them intimidating and disingenuous. My husband had been going to Jack's & Buckley for years so when he bought me a series of facial treatments for my birthday I inwardly groaned. I went expecting a similar experience but I need not have worried. The atmosphere is relaxed but still professional. Everyone is down to earth and really friendly, which immediately put me at ease. My procedure was done by Clare who incidentally is the new owner of the salon, and an Advanced Aesthetic practitioner. She listened to me and thoroughly inspected my skin before beginning; addressing any concerns. My treatments were Microneedling and Dermaplaning and my skin has never looked better. I have already booked in for other treatments. Highly recommend!

I came here with my trans adult kid, as they wanted their first makeover so it was a really important appointment for them, I thought I'd sneak in a facial whilst I was waiting. We were both a little nervous, we don't know Nottingham too well and needed somewhere trans friendly and with saint like patience as they don't know too much about hair other than it grows very quickly and gets knotty. We couldn't fault the staff at all, really friendly, totally understanding, very patient and considerate. My kid needed a lot of guidance and, even though this took a lot longer than I'd expected, the member of staff was really patient and showed them exactly what they needed to do in order to achieve their new look. My facial was also great, I was told which products I needed to use in order to care for my skin better (and which ones not to use too much of), Claire was lovely and friendly too and I was felt really at ease. I am sorry that kid tried to haggle as they were paying, super embarassing, but this was also met with a smile and a laugh. The hairdressers was very covid safe and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we'd happily return. J & Em.

I wasn't feeling my best when I went to Jack's today but Warren completely changed my mood and look. Super professional, friendly and the hair cut I recieved today was one of the best I've ever had. He was completely accommodating of my needs and turned me from a shabby nerd to a shabby nerd with a fresh new hair style in under 20 minutes. The last place I used to get botox from, the gentleman has now retired and I was struggling to find anywhere that I trusted and really rated their results. After doing extensive research, I found Claire, the owner of Jack's and Buckley. I'm not sure what I can say........but WOW! Claire has recently taken over the business through Covid, and her attitude and professionalism to ensure that EVERYONE who walks though her door gets the best service is above and beyond. I have been having botox for over 10 years, and this is the best result I've had by far. Claire wanted to know all details, enduring that she tailored the correct areas to treat the most. I can honestly say that as long as Claire is still doing treatments I will not be going anywhere else. I cannot recommend her or the staff at jacks and Buckley highly enough

I love this place. I have been using only Edyta's hair-cutting services. Very skilled and professional young lady. She cut my hair on numerous occasions and each time it is amazing. Sometimes i have only a rough idea of what I want, so she gives me advice and uses her own vision. After the hair cut, it is not just a blow dry, but also a very vigorous styling procedure. I always come out of Jack's as if I am ready for a big night out. The place itself is not bad, friendly atmosphere. The only negative, it is a bit pricey, but, I suppose, there is nothing you can do about it. Bottom line is - definitely recommend.

I visited the salon in mid July for a full head of highlights before my holiday. Firstly, I will say that my stylist, Warren, was excellent. He was extremely patient, offered useful advice and made sure that I was fully satisfied with my experience before finishing. The only reason it is not a 5 star for me is due to the hidden costs. I booked online for a 'full head of highlights', the price was reasonable, including the 20% off for new customers, so was happy to go forward with the booking. However, later I was told that this did not include a blow dry and was informed that I would be charged an extra £25 just for a blow dry. I explained that due to being a student, I was on a budget and could not pay this extra cost. Fortunately, Warren was very cooperative and offered a 'blast dry' (quick blow dry with no styling) as an alternative, as I simply couldn't leave the salon with wet hair. My only advice to the salon would be to make sure your prices are more clear on the website so customers do not feel misled. Despite this, I couldn't be happier with the job Warren did with my hair and would recommend him to anyone I know. Thank you x

Yesterday my girlfriend went to Jacks for a dry cut. She had called the day before to clarify that they would do a dry cut but on arrival they refused to do it, pressuring her to have it washed. I can understand that they might not want to proceed with a dry cut, absolutely, but it was the way she was treated that was upsetting. She stated what she wanted, just a trim around the sides and back but the stylist didn't quite get that and began looking up pictures of complete different styles. That's also fine, but she has already stated what she wants. At some point another stylsit began agreeing that she needed to have it washed reinforcing that they were not listening, so again my girlfriend stated her reasons against it. At this point her stylist makes it clear that she needs a hair cut and that he had 13 years experience so he knows what's best. Again that's great, you have experience but the customer has stated what they want and you are ignoring her. In the end my girlfriend left the salon without having the cut and feeling like she looked awful, even though all she wanted was a trim. She stated that the stylist was nice enough and probably wasn't aware of how he was making her feel which I'm sure is definitely true. However, just on a reminder level I think it's important to remember that a customer is there to have someone make them feel good, even if they decide against having the cut. They shouldn't leave the salon and then cry later that evening because they feel so awful about how they look. You can advise people, of course you are more experienced than us but please don't try and brag because it can make people feel silly. Also, having your hair cut can be an anxiety promoting experience so please remember that it's not as simple as walking in and stating what you want for some people. It's such a shame because she had been to jacks before and had a good experience. For the record, she got her dry cut today elsewhere and is over the moon with it and the experience she had.

The best service I've received from a salon in a very long time, the staff, Edyta and Nicole, actually listened to me whereas the other places I have been sort of assume what I want and it ends up being completely wrong. They really seemed to care for the condition of my hair and what would work best, including using 2 different types of bleach for each foil to make sure the tones blended on my hair (I have old dye in my hair) and it came out brilliant. Definitely will be going again to get more highlights.

It had been left really damaged by a bad perms and was in a state. Edyta has always been my hairstylist, as I really trust her judgement and I'm always happy with the results. Having quite long, thick hair I find it hard to style but she always offers great hair advice and suggests the right tones/shaping that suits my complexion/face. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are always very friendly.

Let me just start by saying i am super fussy and a pain in the ass for any hair dresser; even a veteran.. I went to Jacks after reading good reviews and I actually think they under sell this place massively! I normally go to Tony and Guys but have felt a bit let down by the one in Nottingham recently. Jacks also went out of there way to fit me in right at the end of the day when i called them that night! something else i am really grateful of. I have my wedding coming up and i have painstakingly grown my hair out for it. So as you can imagine i'm currently even worse than usual about my hair. I was booked in with Sash and i am so pleased with my hair. Sash was genuinely consultative and he came up with ideas i hadn't previously thought of. I trusted him, a BIG thing for me, because he really knew what he was doing and i have to say i am SO pleased with the results. So pleased in fact that i am booked in for a color in the next few weeks as well. Thank you to sash and everyone at Jacks.

Called up on the day for an appointment and got one for 30 mins later. 25% off my first cut a loyalty app for future discounts as well as 50% off for NHS staff. They also mentioned a 20% student discount but this doesn't apply to me. For a mens cut it was excellent, quick and efficient with a barber that was clearly knowledgeable and got a clear idea of what I wanted from the start. Love the decor too!
