I actually am struggling to find words to describe my experience of this salon. So my regular salon relocated and moved out of my area, which left me in a position to find a brand new place to look after my hair. I had often walked past J Dickinson and admired the decor and wee dogs that were clearly so happy and at home in there. Suffice to say, I thought, why not give these guys a try and after hearing excellent reviews, booked an appointment for highlights. Oh WOW!! It isn’t just about the colour/condition my hair ended up in, but the whole experience from beginning to end. Everyone is so lovely, the attentiveness and kindness from staff is paramount. Above and beyond is all I can say. A very happy new customer. Thank you so much xxx

Having relocated to the area, I was nervous about finding a new hairdresser I could trust having been with the same hairdresser for over ten years. James came highly recommmeded and I have never looked back! He is professional , knowledgeable and welcomes feedback. As a first time client he ensured I was listened to and I felt heard. He always makes you feel comfortable and and definitely a brilliant colourist . He takes a lot of pride in his work and wanting to do the best for his clients. J Dickson hair and beauty was recommended to me by my partners cousins, both of whom always have hair that looks great! I wanted to try somewhere local and I am so happy I took this recommendation. James is absolutely lovely and did such a wonderful job of blending my horrible lock down locks into something healthy & beautiful. My hair feels healthy, the products are wonderful and the staff are just brilliant. I felt really comfortable in the space as it’s set up with seperation screens, the staff wear masks and the salon is very open and bright. The space feels very modern, quite trendy in style and the seats are comfortable. There is also the benefit of James’s two little dogs in the salon who are very well behaved and appreciate a pat or two if you have a free hand. Whilst my hair was developing the lovely Jo was able to attend to my nails for a manicure and we had a lovely laugh and chat whilst she did some great work. I am already booked in again to see Jo and James again for touch ups after Christmas and would confidently recommend the services available as I feel like I’m onto a winner with this team! Thanks again, I had such a lovely afternoon in your beautiful space and I’m excited to see you all again soon!
