T. K.I have been having my hair cut by Sam at Idlewild for year's... He is a true expert at cutting hair and you will always leave with an amazing haircut! 👍 The Salon has a very chilled and relaxing environment and all the staff are so friendly... Give it a whirl if you really care about the locks on ya head... Idlewild is an outstanding Hair Salon - 6* if 6* exists...! 😉

She was very attentive, professional and kind, and checked at all moments that I was happy with every step. The haircut looks astonishing, and it is really well done for my hair, which is on the thicker side. She also retouched my undercut and curtain bangs, and everything looks perfect now!

She recently did the Nano hair straightener treatment on me and it is life changing!! No more fuzzy hair in humid/damp weather, it takes me half the time to style it after washing, 100% recommended it, it is worth the money!! Charlotte cuts my hair and she is absolutely lovely!! Really friendly and chatty, and she always takes just the right amount off - not too much like some stylists!! She spends time going through it at the end making sure it is perfect. Great salon.

She gave me a really nice haircut, just like I described it to her and I am very happy and pleased with the haircut. It was quick, pleasant and efficient.
t. c.Took my 4yo daughter for her first ever haircut before she started primary school. Sam was a star with her - made the whole cut a real event and she felt like a star. Sam took the time to explain and give advice on the best way to keep a youngster's hair healthy and get it thicker.
We also had our 7yo son with us (no haircut since February due to lockdown) and he was so taken with what was going on finally allowed us to let Sam uncover a long-lost face, ears and neck.
Both children looked photo ready afterwards with perfect cuts that everyone was happy with.
The COVID-19 procedures in place were spotless and Sam was keen to ensure that safety was #1 and that we were kept at ease with the whole thing.
S. T.I would definitely recommend Idlewild, Oxford. Stacey has been colouring my hair for a while now, but this year we’ve tried the Nano Keratin treatment, which is amazing. My natural hair is very thick and very curly but with the treatment I now have straight hair that is incredibly easy to manage. It’s way quicker to blow dry and doesn’t need straighteners. I absolutely love it.

I went into Idlewild a few weeks back looking for a recommendation and was greeted by a friendly confident Michael. I knew right away I had found my new stylist. When I came back for my appointment I was a little nervous but was reassured as soon as I sat down. I decided to go for a short funky cut and showed Michael a few examples of what I was looking for and he made his recommendations. I was so impressed with his level of detail and professional ease. The cut turned out exactly how i wanted it, actually even better. I have no hesitation in recommending Michael if you want to try out a new look or even a trim. I will definitely be back.
