I went to The Hare on the recommendation of my partner and wasn't disappointed! Immediately given a warm welcome and an excellent coffee, we talked about how I wanted my hair and that's exactly what I walked out with 😀 You can have a good old chat while there, or just get your haircut, so friendly to introverts and extroverts alike, plus they don't turn anyone away, so welcome the LGBTQ+ community too. Best of all a very reasonable price, I shall be back!

I've just had that haircut, from George, and it is great, better than my previous usual place so I am sure I will go back. They have renovated the space, it has a friendly atmosphere and there's coffee available.

I had the most superb restyle (fringe put in), and curly hair cut from Kristie today! I was a bit nervous going in having always been to traditional 'women's' hairdressers but the atmosphere was so welcoming and inclusive, the coffee was lovely and the price was fantastic! I will definitely be returning to get my hair done there in the future!

Really friendly, inclusive and good value salon that caters for all genders and people. Can't stress "good value" enough. I've had long hair my whole life and got a short cut/complete restyle for only £40 - which is excellent value compared to your standard women's hairdresser. Great quality cut, fantastic advice from very friendly hair cutter - sorry can't remember your name, but it was the blonde lady! Thank you so much for my new style, will be back soon for a trim!

I initially discovered Hare when it was Marton Barbers as I couldn't be bothered to go to Cowley as I normally used to, to get my haircut... firstly the good, its a really clean and friendly place (and more since they had the refurb) and the haircut you get is of a very good quality 👌 plus they give you a free coffee/hot drink (which is nice). I would say the only downside to Hare is the new prices, since the refurbishment the price jumped from 15 pounds to 25 pounds which is a bit too steep for me personally (I have had to pretty much go elsewhere, as its become abit too expensive). But aside from that if you don't mind paying abit more its definitely a good barber with a friendly atmosphere.

I got my first haircut in England at "The Marston Barber" and I'm completely happy with the result. Very (!) kind and supportive service and I can definitely say that the haircut looks better than every haircut done in Germany where I come from. Didn't even expect the nice atmosphere in the shop. For the next haircut in the UK I'll definitely come back to "The Marston Barber". Thanks a lot (also for the tea).

The Marston Barber is a family run business over three generations, I believe. Staff are always friendly and appear genuinely interested in what they are talking to you about throughout the course of your hair-cut. A cold beer or cup of tea/coffee is always offered and adds a nice touch to customer service. The price for a basic haircut is, in my opinion, extremely expensive: men, expect to pay ~£20.00! Student deals on Tues and Weds reduce price to ~£16.50. I would recommend to a friend.

My hair is extremely difficult to cut, and these guys are just about the only hairdressers/barbers I have ever been to that can get the cut and style bang on every time. Also, one of the only places that can trim my beard better than I can! 5 stars, hope they never retire.

Easy 5 stars, have been coming here for 5 or so years so am confident in saying this is the best place I've ever seen for women's hair, great value too. Appreciate the transparent pricing system, something I've not seen much - good to see exactly what you paid for! The styling and cutting advice all the stylists offer is very personalised, detailed and professionally delivered. They are happy to talk through what will work and explain why they think something might not. Particular shoutout to Laura who really delivered on all fronts last time I went - great discussion of the cut before and during, gorgeous blow dry, just generally lovely to work with. Result: of my favourite cuts I've ever had (looking exactly like what we discussed) and great advice on how to maintain it.
