Phil is a lovely bloke and a great barber. Best I have found in Plymouth having lived here 12 years. Excellent cut and a friendly, personal service. Makes a great cup of coffee too! He also cuts my boy's hair, and he not only loves getting his haircut by Phil, but the retro arcade games in the waiting area. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

BEST BARBERS EVER ! Absolutely top notch ! Great Service from the moment I booked to the moment I left looking fresh after my first post lockdown cut. Phil was very friendly and professional you can clearly tell this man knows his craft. The members only policy works very well as there is no waiting time you're straight in the chair. Although I did notice a rather nice waiting room with large comfy looking seating TV and arcade style game machines. Phill talked me through the entire process and what style would suite me best and why. I was offered a drink and made to feel very comfortable and left like I had known Phill for years ! cant recommend Barbourloft enough.

Phil is the best barber I've been to by far. You make your own appointment online to suit your needs and can easily rearrange your appointment if needed. Takes time to listen to what you want and will make sure your happy at all times. Amazing Barbers and truly a unique, wonderful and relaxed experience. I took both my sons, aged 9 & 11yrs along for haircuts and we were really impressed with the cuts/styles they received. (Not the easiest kids to please but they want to return 😃). They loved the fact that they could play arcade game whilst waiting for one another. I loved the fact that it was so easy to book an appointment online. We weren’t rushed out the door and made to feel we were just another ‘bum on seat’. Phil was a true professional, very warm and welcoming. The home/salon decor is beautiful and the fresh coffee offered was a bonus. I have been twice now for a cut and beard trim and would highly recommend. Phil is very attentive and provides a first class personal service with a real eye for detail .I have been looking for a while to find a barber who you can rely on and takes time to produce a great styled cut, with Phil I feel I have found this and you feel a valued customer . I have also recently taken my six year old son who has requested to go back for his next haircut he was impressed with his cut and also the vintage arcade game table !!! which kept him entertained whilst waiting for his cut. The best barber in town by far!! Amazingly decorated place, astounding hospitality too. I was offered coffee, cold drinks etc. I was also asked what kind off music I liked so that it would be personal to me. Insanely good prices, I got a full works which is hair wash, hair cut and beard style/trim for £20 (but if you're a new customer it's half price for your first time). Phil has an amazing eye for detail too. I was very impressed, and chuffed to bits with the end result and I will be going back at least once a month. 'til next time Phil.

Having seen The Barber’s Loft advertised and thinking it looked a different and unique barbers I have now returned from my 2nd visit and can say I won’t be going anywhere else from now on. Phil offers a very unique and personal experience, he is genuinely friendly person and the whole experience is very relaxed with friendly chat and some great music played softly in the background. A lot of thought has gone into the set up which makes this so different from your normal high street barbers and it is the little extras which make it so unique such as being offered a choice of lovely cup of ground coffee, water or even a beer if you wish. The booking slots he has planned in means there is no rush and you have a relaxed cut because no one is waiting unless you happen to arrive 15mins early. I had a hot towel shave and a head shave and you get quality shave and cut with a little head massage included, as I have said it is a great experience and quality service which leaves you feeling dare I say it a little pampered at the end. Roll on the next cut and shave.

Ive been using the Barber Loft for the last nine months and wont go anywhere else now. Phil is such an easy guy to get on with you instantly feel at ease, with a coffee, tea or beer your experience will be relaxing and enjoyable, Phil takes his time to make sure everything is perfect for you, i always go for the 'works', shave, wash, cut and dry which takes a good hour, its like a mini spa break! I cant recommend Phil Loft enough, its easy to book online so therrs no sitting and waiting and if you're partner/ child is with you theres a guest room with arcade games etc to keep them entertained. Five star treatment all round...update: if you have the chance to get the Chicago finish, go for it, complimentary shoulder massage, look like something out of Buck Rogers or the original Star Trek, but works a treat!
