Highly recommend! Staff are really friendly, and listen to what you want. Charlie is my stylist and would ask questions about my requests throughout the process such as hair length before they cut etc. Which is always nice, to ensure you're getting what you asked for. Charlie also gave her own opinions when I asked for them which was helpful in so many ways. Thank you Charlie, so much for all you have done. You go above and beyond x

Luke has been my hairdresser for 15 years and I can not recommend him enough, his work is out of this world. Everyone in the salon is super talented and I absolutely love the atmosphere, it’s inclusive, fun and all of his staff are friendly and welcoming. everyone who visits leaves feeling a million dollars! Nothing is ever too much trouble and Luke ensures standards are not just met, but exceeded above and beyond.

After admiring a customers hair where I work I booked an appointment with Luke after her recommendation ,my hair is very thick ,long and curly and not many have been able to blow dry it without the aid of straighteners ,I have to say my trim and especially the blow dry was one of the best I’ve had ! It was even nicer to find out I used to cut Luke’s hair as a 4 year old ,and as he grew up, he is a lovely person and great hairdresser ,I’ve already rebooked ,very friendly staff as well and smart salon .Thank you !

I visited The Hair Bar last year & Charley who did my hair did a great job and was lovely. However, when I was having my hair washed at the basin, a guy who I believe is the owner & a woman were sat behind the reception desk and kept laughing, whispering & looking over in my direction. I was 7 months pregnant at the time so I don’t know if they were maybe laughing at my bump or something but I felt very uncomfortable. I was super impressed with Charley but wouldn’t ever go back as I left there feeling really awkward & like something was wrong with me which is a real shame as everything else was all positive.

I cannot tell you how INCREDIBLE The Hair Bar are!!! Warm, friendly and just a fabulous service from the minute you walk in through the door! Luke, the owner is a very special person. Kind, friendly and genuinely takes an interest in all clients, whether they are his or one of his team’s clients! Having moved to the area from London, I was on the hunt for a new hair salon. Heard about the Hair Bar from an article in the Plymouth Herald (they were one of the top 10 salons) so I did a bit more research and found their Facebook page (new website was under construction). I was offered a patch test for my colour a few days prior and got to chat to my stylist Louise about what I wanted done. On the day of the appointment Louise listened to what I wanted, and also made some great suggestions about tones rather than the flat colour I had requested since Summer was around the corner. The atmosphere in the salon is really fun and relaxed, the staff are obviously all very good friends and the customers all seemed to enjoy their time there, getting involved in the stylists’ banter. The decor is lovely, and I really felt comfortable, not like some other high end salons in London where I felt out of place. I was so thrilled with my cut and colour, AND got 20% off my first visit. I’ve already booked my next appointment.

Wow! Amazing! Fabulous! This should sum up my whole experience there. Went in a very nervous client, came away totally in awe of the whole time I spent there.
