Found the place by searching on Google, was looking for a good barber for my son's first hair cut as he has a curly hair. Booked it online and went there a bit nervous. I was so wrong to be nervous, never seen any hairdressers as patient as Kim, she was following my son when he was moving from car to car and just letting him be. Totally happy and recommand to everyone. She became my son's hairdresser now

Today i took my sons 4 and 2 years of age to kims shop. She was more than amazing. My eldest son has always been terrified of getting his hair cut. Today was an absolute breeze she was so understanding and brilliant with them. We dont even live in longridge but we will definitely be regulars from now on.

Amazing haircut experience for my 4 year old daughter. Chose Kim’s based on the positive reviews and 100% right to do so. Kim is so friendly and patient, knows exactly how to approach children who may be nervous about haircuts. My daughter was smiling all the way through and loved the toys and car chair. Kim is absolutely amazing! I was dreading bringing my 2 year old for his first haircut. I needn’t have worried with Kim and her amazing shop. She has lots of toys to keep the little one entertained and fabulous cars for the little ones to sit in whilst having their hair cut. My little boy wouldn’t keep still for a second but nothing phased Kim and she was so very patient and understanding. He even got a little goody bag as he left and a certificate for his first haircut. Honestly I can’t praise Kim enough. I can’t ever imagine taking him anywhere else. Thank you Kim!

Kim is brilliant, my 3 year old little girl's review when we left was "mummy...I love that lady!" She gave just the right amount of attention and settled her in for her first haircut so well; gave her toys to play with, was gentle and caring throughout and gave her exactly the cut we were after. The aftercare was fab too with a treat bag for my daughter, a certificate and lock of hair for her memory box and lots of smiles and praise for sitting so well. All round brilliant place, can't recommend enough. We will be back!

Kim is wonderful - very patient and warm - and I would definitely recommend taking your little ones here. My 1 year old hated his first haircut (tears, flailing) and today, on only his third visit, he sat still and quiet and calmly let Kim make him look fancy! I think sitting in the cool miniature car was a good distraction! Kim's place is always decorated for the season and you can tell she has a passion for what she does. My kid left with a cute haircut and a goody bag of sweets 🙂

Absolutely amazing service. I went here today with my little girl for her 1st hair cut and I’m so happy I choose Kim’s barbers! I was so nervous but My little girl was so happy when we arrived. Kim followed my little girl around cutting her hair while she played with the toys and was in and out of the toy car, I traveled all the way from Blackburn and I will 100% be back. Kim is very good with kids and adds a personal touch to make them feel special when having their hair cut....almost like a salon experience for kids. Kim was fantastic with my son. This was his first haircut and my little boy enjoyed it that much he actually kicked off when we had to leave the shop. He wanted to stay that bad!! Amazing experience at Kim’s! My 2 yr old son is a nightmare when it comes to getting his hair cut, however as Kim’s approach to cutting his hair was in a fun and friendly way, allowing him to play he was calm through out! The odd shouting due to the initial fear he has of his hair being cut but Kim reassured him and interacting with him calmed him down and she was able to cut his hair! She really had a way with kids and I will deffo be returning again! Kim is a hidden gem especially when it comes to fussy toddlers having hair cuts! My daughter also had her first hair cut and she enjoyed playing in the car and the wide range of toys available! Kim also gives a treat bag at the end of the cut included in the price which is a nice gesture and my boy loved it! I highly recommend Kim for all parents to take their child too!

Took our toddler there for his 3rd ever haircut - previous 2 times at another barber didn’t go well - we were worried he would get a phobia of getting his hair cut. Absolutely amazing. Longridge is a half-hour drive for us but it was so worth it. Came with my 4 year old daughter for her first haircut. She has been scared of getting her hair cut for years and I was worried about how she would react. Kim put her (and me) at ease as soon as we walked in the door. I took my 3 year old boy Charlie, who doesn’t like to sit for his haircut, the other day and Kim was brilliant with him. We live around 40 minutes away but was definitely worth the drive - I’ve tried a few different hairdressers/barbers and have not had much luck before now. Kim was so patient and let him play with toys to distract him, following him where he wanted to go rather than him having to stay in one place, which meant he got his hair cut without any drama. The haircut itself was great too, very neat and tidy. As we were going home he was asking to go and see Kim again so think it’s a thumbs up from him too. there are a good amount of toys and a choice of three cars to sit in which helps. He also got a treat bag afterwards which is a lovely touch. 100% recommend, especially if you have an awkward young one like my boy. 😀😀😀

Today we visited Kim’s salon with our 1 year old Arthur. He cried immediately as we entered (he does when we go somewhere/meet someone new). Kim immediately put us at ease and was so patient with us and Arthur. We felt like we had all the time we needed. Kim worked round Arthur, rather than Arthur being uncomfortable or unhappy Kim catered round him and he eventually calmed down. We will definitely use Kim for all future hair cuts. I always use Kim’s for the kids so I decided to use her for myself the online appointment service is very easy to use and there is always appointments available. I have been a few times now and have always been very happy with the result. And today was fab I let her know what I wanted and gave her free rein the result is awesome I absolutely love it, she also gave great tips on how to style it too.

I first started taking my Son to Kim's because he was very nervous of clippers, due to a bad experience at another barbers. Kim was always very patient whilst he worked through his emotions and after only a few visits he no longer has an issue going for a haircut. So it was time for the boys first haircut and not via my clumsy hands... Booked Kim's as from the pictures of the cars thought it would be the best place to try. Booking was very easy with confirmation emails for assurance. When I turned up I wasn't disappointed and knew I made the right decision (40 min drive from Blackpool). My lad was instantly interested in the cars and wanted to try them all. Kim was very welcoming, following the COVID guidelines she greated us. As it was the first time, Kim allowed my son to settle first then choose the car. There was one for waiting in on the floor, a white and pink one like raised chairs. Cars with buttons and make sounds. The pink one was in a separate room which was all set up for the little princess of the world. However that's the first choice for my son... Kim asked what he was like when at home with my attempts, reassured me with what she would do. When my son was a little apprehensive she showed patience and we moved to the red car. Here she cut his hair, was really friendly, professional, calm and reassuring my son all the time. After 5 mins Kim was easily cutting hair!! Once done sweets given. If you're unsure about your little ones first cut then you must try here. I will return until my son more accustomed to a hair cut. Thank you Kim.

Amazing 100% reccomend Kim, after my son not enjoying his hair cuts we tried Kim and were not disappointed from the moment we arrived my son was made to feel safe and welcome and that he was in control, Kim gave him the lead in how things went and followed his lead he enjoyed distraction, everytime he was giving off even the slightest sign he was bored of something Kim was on it and was engaging him in something else to keep him focused I didnt even realised he was having his hair cut and he obviously didnt either it was one of the only times we have managed a full cut with scissors, clippers and NO TEARS it was one of the most calming and best experiences we have had to date and will be back

Well today I took my almost 2 year old son to Kims barbers for his first ever hair cut now my boy has curly hair so I didn't want much taken off just tidying up, my son loved it there didn't cry or moan once as she has fun active chairs for the children to play on to keep them distracted whilst she cuts there hair, she was lovely towards me and my son and was very friendly also so if your worried about taken your child for there first hair cut go to Kim's she is wonderful for your little ones and I would highly recommend.

Took my 2 year old here for his first hair cut. Kim was very patient with him as he moved about playing with all the toys while she was cutting his hair! We got to keep some of his hair and got a certificate as it was his first cut. He also received a little goody bag which he was very happy with. We will definitely be back when he's due for his next trim.
