Visited today for the first time. The barber was really friendly, had good music playing and the cut and shave was to a very high standard. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I had to stop after my haircut and wait for my shave so the barber could do an appointment at 11.30am. This wasn't the barbers fault as the other customer was late. I had to wait 20mins for my shave so wasn't the end of the world but I don't think someone's service should be stopped half way through for someone else. I'll definitely return as the cut and shave was just what I wanted. Maybe the appointments should be for a time slot and they get to jump the queue for the next available barber rather than stopping another customer half way through?

I've been going to Amici's for around 5 years. I take my sons. They give a great service and the cut is usually really good. High satisfaction all round. It can get busy at certain times, especially over the weekend; if you're going for a walk-in then it's best to time it right and avoid the busy periods. Otherwise you can book an appointment.

Sal and the rest of the team here are by far the best barbers in Reading. Moved here over 4 years ago now, looked around for a barber for a while, then came across Amici's. Every person in here is naturally skilled in cutting hair, and really understand about giving you a look you want. Very friendly and approachable. I'm in Reading for a couple months, working, and needed a hair cut. I didn't want a hatchet job and it was clear from reviews that Amici's was the front runner. They'd actually had a break in overnight, and they rang me to tell me things might be a little behind schedule. Good customer service from the off. As it happened, it was only a few minutes later, but it was great to know. The haircut was spot on. The guy who cut my hair was clearly a pro, asked at various stages if I was happy with the cut. He also tidied up my beard and gave me a really excellent cut throat shave. Then I had the ear hair burning and nose waxing. Absolute bargain for the package. I'll definitely be back next month and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I had a haircut today and in honesty I wasn't overly happy with the result, it wasn't a terrible cut but as most men know it sometimes happens when going to a new barbers! It's the first week back from lock down, resulting in a very busy shop and maybe some pressure to get through cuts quickly, so I felt it was a little rushed, which I relayed to the owner. However what I am impressed by is the owners ability to take my feedback onboard, replying to me promptly and offering me the option to go back with him personally, in order to improve on my experience for next time, which I will be taking him up on. Very professionally dealt with and I'm always happy to give businesses with that attitude another chance.

Visited for the first time on Sunday and was able to take a chair straight away. Was made to feel very welcome. As I had gel on my hair I requested a wash which the stylist did and then asked me how I would like my hair. I asked for suggestions which he came up with and proceeded to explain what he proposed to do which he then did with great attention to detail. Very pleased with the end result and the excellent service. And at a very reasonable price. Best haircut I’ve ever had. Will definitely be making Amici my regular barbers.

I've only been twice, but I think it'll be my regular barbers shop now. It's great to have people that understand hair and, more to the point, understand your hair and what you want. The guys were very polite and efficient, providing a good, clean cut and overall excellent service. Though I was not seen to at first, the barber dealing with another customer said hi and knew my name from my online booking which was a nice touch. The price is as good as I've seen anywhere - particularly if you book online with the 20% discount. Overall I have been really impressed with Amici Barbers and am sure they will continue to do a good job every time.

Great service- great cuts, styles, advise, and lastly they sell some nice hair products. My hair was to my mid-back and I decided to cut it off for charity. The barber had great advise and executed the style perfectly. The barbers are top quality. I advise all customers to make an appointment if possible. If you walk in at 4 to 4:30 pm and they are busy, you may wait thirty minutes to be told they must close the shop and can only do a basic haircut and nothing more, if that. If you walk in before closing times, and they are busy, they do not mind telling you that they can not cut your hair. Walk ins are welcome, however please remember they do have lives and responsibilities also so don't risk wasting your time by walking in after 4:30pm as you will most likely be turned away if they are busy. Barbers do have lives too.

Love this barbershop. Sal and the boys are great, nicr haircut and beard trim for a good price. Not the cheapest in town, but thats not what they're going for. Easily worth the £ though. I go every 3 weeks. They've also just refurbished as well so made the place even better. Motorcycle parking almost right outside on street, nearest and cheapest car park is probably Queens Road Car Park.

My hair was getting too long and my usual hairdresser is no longer working in Reading. I've heard some good things about Amici so decided to pop in for a trim after work. It's very near my office so admittedly that was one of the reason. My hair is not only long, but very thick, which tricked a lot of hairdresser and barber over the year. The woman (forgot to ask her name, but she has long black hair and pretty) who dealt with my hair in Amici though did a great job of patiently sorting them out. Very good value too. Will definitely come back for a second trim in a few months.

Didn't want to loose it, but knew I needed to calm the mad scientist look. These guys were great. Result; job-ready without razoring me down to stubble - which I've had elsewhere.
