This is my favourite hair salon and Tom is my favourite hairdresser. He is very professional. I am their customer for more than five years now and I never disappointed with the hai cut. Salon is always clean and staff are friendly.

I'm very particular about my hair colour and never get my hair cut after a really bad experience. I started going to Alice about 2 years ago for my colour (blonde) and she has always done an amazing and thorough job. I built up the courage to trust her to cut my hair after 7 years yesterday and she did amazing with that too! I don't like blunt cuts with my fine hair, as it looks too severe, Alice listened and understood my anxieties and what I wanted and shaped my hair to look natural but tidier. Alice is exceptional at her job and we always have a good chat. I believe you get what you pay for with your hair and it's definitely worth the money!

I don't usually like going to the hairdressers because I often don't feel listened to, but I had such a good experience with Laura at Arcana southampton - I was her last appointment on a sunny Friday and instead of rushing out the door she took her time and made sure my cut was perfect. She also took the time to trim and apply my extensions so they looked amazing - she went above and beyond. Super impressed.

Just the boost I needed! Had a bad hair cut at a salon in Hedge End. Alyce from Arcana rectified the problems and my hair looks and feels amazing. Best hair cut and blow dry I've had in years. Can't wait to go back for my colour.

I love it here. Tom has been cutting mine and my offspring's hair now for around 10 years! The atmosphere of the salon is very relaxed and staff always very friendly. Tom is great both in terms of cutting hair and conversation wise. He always takes an interest in me as an individual. I always feel like my visit is like a little dose of therapy and come out feeling good! Sure, the prices are higher than many other places, but I reckon the service off sets that and makes it worth it. My son would still only use Tom while away at uni in Bristol and my daughter is planning to do likewise despite having moved to Liverpool for uni. Can't recommend Arcana (and particularly Tom) highly enogh.

Arnold took great care of me and did an excellent and very detailed job on my hair. He took the time to really figure out what color I wanted and was so comfortable to talk to. I highly recommend him! Loved this Salon! Great location, interior, and clean.

I live in London and visit Southampton to see my parents. I tried Arcana based on a friend's recommendation and Alice was my stylist. She did a phenomenal job on my hair and really understood my concerns. She didn't put up a fight about cutting my hip length hair into a short bob (unlike some stylists I've had in London!) because I was worried about hair thinning on top. I love my new style and she put in some beautiful layers to give the hair extra volume and texture. She blow dried it into soft curls and it looked beautiful and floaty. I love my hair cut so much that I think I'll reserve all hair appointments for when I'm in Soton to visit family! Price is the same as London but the excellent service will bring me back! Always nice coming here, very nice hairdressers, passionate and fun. Only place I've been to since I am here in Southampton to get the haircut that I want! They're not afraid to cut :P Prices are higher than usual places but well deserved. Love it!

I’ve just been waxed by Heidi and I really couldn’t of wished for a better experience!!! She is so thorough with the waxing but it was the least painful waxing I’ve ever had! If I could give a better star raiting I would she is amazing !! Not only is the waxing great but she is such a kind and calming person she really made me feel relaxed. Pricing is brilliant for what you get I couldn’t believe how cheap it was! I will never go Anywhere else again. I highly recommend Heidi and will make sure to tell all family and friends to go here from now on!

Have been a happy customer for many years now- and have been to both the Southampton and Winchester salons- both of which are great... last time I visited I spent most of the day there (having mani and pedi! before a blow dry)- and can honestly say, I left feeling absolutely amazing!
