J. R.As always great service, not just a hair/beard cut but various creams and lotions used. Very relaxing after a long day. No rushing just a great job. Open late and on a Sunday! Not the cheapest (but not overly expensive) and cash only but worth it.

G. “. B.Only went here on a whim because it was open on a Sunday. I was thinking it's just going to another barber shop. Although this place only accepts cash it's definitely worth a visit.
I was warmly welcomed and I also showed the chap there what I wanted in the style of my haircut. I also asked for a beard trim. Not only that I had a really good conversation with my barber. Just about internet and life in general which was a nice experience no awkward silences just a relaxed haircut and beard trim.
The fact is that I was warmly welcomed and the place looks clean tidy. Plenty of sofas to wait if they are busy (YES SOFA'S) Some light chilled ambient music I could see me going here more often. Plus with them open on a Sunday makes my life easier. Really good welcome and a good experience all around.
Parking is a bit of a nightmare but that's the not fault of the barber's so it'll be unfair for me to downgrade there score on that. Definitely will be back and highly recommend this place.

E.Dry haircut for a woman, very reasonably priced. Hairdresser took trouble to find out what I actually wanted and then took time and trouble to deliver; checking as she went to see if what she was doing was exactly what I wanted; which is more than most pricier salons do. Finished with a water spray and blow dry at no extra cost. I have paid 3, or even 4 times, as much for a rushed, inept cut where the hairdresser did what they wanted with no reference to my wishes. Excellent. My grandsons also come here and they are happy too.

M. 6.I have been twice now and walked in without an appointment, had a dry cut, with a bit of blow dry styling thrown in, for £15.50. I have paid six times as much elsewhere for the regulation wash and blow dry with far worse results. As I am quite capable of washing my own hair before hand this is a very much quicker, easier and of course, cheaper alternative. Two of my grandsons also come here and although they go for very different styles, both seem very happy with the results. Oh, and my husband goes there too and is more than pleased with whatever they do to his abundant hair and beard.

a. y.The review by Richard Dawson is so unrealistic it's just not true. Ghodsi's is by far the best barbers in town. The staff are extremely patient and highly skilled and the service is second to none. They make the customers feel like their personal friends and offer tea or coffee free of charge. To be frank, it is quite insulting to the staff for someone to write such a review. And as for the price - it's worth every penny to know that our hair will always be cut to the highest standards by people who love their job and care about the customers.

B.I can only think the above bad review was on a very unusual day, cos I've been going to Ghodsi's for years (most recently to Goring, previously in Warwick St), and don't recognise the scene described. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Very friendly staff and above all great haircutting skills (though to be fair I usually wait for Ghodsi herself to do mine as she seems to be able to interpret my vague requests so well!)
