I've had my hair cut by Rebecca several times now and always loved it! I went for a different style this time which looks fantastic, I'm so happy with it. Everyone there is so friendly and were so kind when I felt a bit unwell today! Wonderful haircuts and atmosphere. I would highly recommend it here, fantastic prices too and easy to book.

Such a great hairdressers - I’ve tried various establishments over the years, but this one is a keeper! I’ve been going for six years now; Gail persuaded me to cut my hair shorter, and I’ve never looked back. I was given excellent advice on how to look after my hair, and every cut and colour has been an adventure. Hannah cuts my hair now, and does an amazing job with my hair - I love going. They listen to what you say, and cut your hair how you ask, while offering some great suggestions; what more could you want?

I've been going to 3D for about 7 years, first with Gail then Hannah. This is the first salon I've been to where they really want to give you a hairstyle you can style easily yourself between visits and that really suits you. I trust Hannah implicitly with my hair. She knows how far she can push me outside my comfort zone and what will suit me. I've had so many compliments since she persuaded me to go a bit shorter.

You have to go up two flights of stairs but it would be worth climbing twenty flights to have your hair done by Hannah Ward-Nichol at 3D. A true professional and master of her craft. It was my first visit today and I will definitely go back. A lovely person, very easy to get on with and a very skilled hair stylist - cutting and blow drying. I love my hair, which is not something I say very often after a visit to a hair salon. Thank you Hannah!

Fantastic place to come and relax whilst you have your hair done. Hannah seems to instinctively know what you want and what will suit you. She listens to your ideas but will give you her honest opinion so you always walk out looking great. She also waxes and can normally do both hair and waxing in the same appointment. She offers a great list of available drinks whilst you have your hair done including wine and beer as well as the normal ones. Brilliant prices for a central York location; would definitely recommend.

Hannah always does a brilliant job with my hair. She's the only hairdresser I've seen regularly - she listens and pays attention to what you want, is honest and funny, makes suggestions when you invite them, and is generally a bloody genius at remembering what you like. I've been seeing her since I grew my hair from shaved, and she's provided me with the asymmetrical hair so many other hairdressers didn't have the imagination of skill to provide. She also sells fab (coincidentally vegan) products, and provides a loyalty card! Bring your Pinterest fantasies and she'll give you real, honest advice about making your best version of them happen. She's hairdresser gold!

I’m constantly amazed at her ability to transform your desired haircut to a masterpiece that beautifully suits your face. What makes Sally particularly special is her genuine care, bubbly personality, patience and dedication to ensure that you leave a happy client. Even more so, she’s amazing with children and my 2 year old also always leaves happy. I would also like to recommend Emilyn for anyone looking for a therapeutic Tuina massage. She really knows her stuff and is also absolutely lovely. I would recommend 3D hair and beauty to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service.

I booked for half foils highlights and cut/blow dry and I was impressed at how quick Hannah could fit me in. I have been dark for at least 7 years and I now live in a sunnier country which has started to lighten my hair, after explaining this to Hannah, she gave me advice and ideas of how light i should go. I was aprehensive but i took her advice and went ahead and had it lightened, i am amazed at how natural my hair looks and how much better i feel, my dark hair was a bit harsh. Hannah also shaped my hair the way i like it, the only stylist to actually understand how i like it. £66 for the process and a really nice place to spend a few hours to look good, thanks Hannah, i will be back.

This is a lovely, clean and airy hair salon on the beautiful Shambles in York. It is on the top floor, so a few stairs to climb, but it's worth it for some of the views and oak beamed ceilings. There is more than a hair salon here. They are an aromatherapy room, a tuina massage and acupuncture room and and makeup and beauty treatment room. I uploaded 360 pictures of all the rooms, I go here for acupuncture with an amazing talented and intelligent woman.
