Not only have I had the pleasure of getting my haircuts at Kudos on and off for the last 15 years - and enjoying the warm atmosphere, head massages and fantastic results - I also had my wedding hair styled by the lovely Leah Parkinson. She is an absolute magician! She listened to my very vague ideas and made lots of excellent suggestions, and in the end my updo (a kind of messy chignon but so much more exciting than that) looked absolutely gorgeous. It also stayed in all day! She did a half up/down do for my bridesmaids too, and twisted flowers into them, and they looked gorgeous too. Thank you Leah and all the Kudos team :)

Georgie always does an amazing job with my hair. I always feel relaxed at the salon, the whole team are friendly and make you feel welcome. The prices are extremely reasonable and the work is a high quality. I always look forward to going for my hair cuts and colours.

First time at Kudos...Emilly cut my hair...past the shoulder to short bob, and it is lovely...she was great, she listened to what you wanted, and did a fantastic job...at 62 I've had a few haircuts and when you walk out of the salon and don't rush home to re-do! it yourself, you know its good...thanks Emilly we will be back.......might go shorter!!!

I absolutely love getting my hair cut here. The team are so friendly and it's a really nice bubbly atmosphere in the salon. Georgie gives the best haircuts I've ever had. I don't even live in York anymore but I still go back to get my haircut here.

Had a cut and my highlights done by Vanessa who is the loveliest and she did a terrific job with my hair. She listened to me and knew exactly what I wanted. She also let me come in for another round of toner (+styling) 2 weeks after my cut to get the colour even darker without charge. Overall I would say Kudos is the best hairdresser I've been to in York, and they also offer student discount which is amazing.

Absolutely amazing place to get your hair cut. Having had the same hairdresser for years, I was nervous to have to find another one, but Kudos came highly recommended to me and now I know why. Vanessa was friendly, and had a great knowledge about curly hair, which put me at ease straight away. I've ended up with the best hair I've had in years!! Even down to the receptionist, everyone was so lovely and professional, and I can't wait until my next visit.

I tried a couple salons in York, but none of them really fit my needs until I came to Kudos. I've had Vanessa as my stylist the past couple times I've went and her colouring and cut methods are fantastic. I usually go in with a few ideas of what I like and she takes my vision and customises it to the most perfect colour and style I could ever ask for. The salon itself is lovely and everyone who works there is really nice and professional. I highly recommend!

I have always struggled to find a hairdressers where I come out feeling happy with my haircut. But today when I had my haircut by Vanessa at Kudos, I came out feeling like a million dollars! I was so well looked after, Vanessa gave it a thorough wash, used lots of products and explained what everything was for, she spent a lot of time cutting and styling it, always checking that I was happy with it and listening to what I had asked for, but also offering really good expert advice. The whole team were very friendly, the salon was presented to a high standard and reasonably priced. I will definitely be going again soon. A haircut used to be something I dreaded, but not anymore! :) I may even pop in just for blow drys in between if I can't recreate the look at home. Overall fab experience, so glad to have found a great salon and an even better stylist!

I was really curious about this place so gave it a go. Booked a haircut and colour with a level4 stylist and it was far from a great haircut. What I see is that there are mostly great reviews online so probably they can do lovely haircut too. (she might had a bad day). The colour was lovely by the way so gave 3 stars.

What an amazing experience. I have always dreaded going to the hairdressers. From terrifying experiences as a child to paying top quality hairdressers I have never found 'the hairdressers' for me until now. Had an absolutely amazing experience today with a level 4 hairdresser called Sam, she is soo lovely and understood exactly what I was after. It's more expensive than the usual which is completely justified with the level of skill and experience Sam has. I have left kudos today never absolutely beaming with happiness and never again will I dread going to the hair dressers. Thank you so very much! X
