D. F.What an amazing barber Kara is. I’ve been twice now and had hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had. He really understands the weird way my hair grows and knows exactly how to cut it. Brilliant cut, and keeps its shape well for a few weeks. And he’s absolutely hilarious too. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks mate!
D. C.Absolutely love every hair cut w this guy. He's very accommodating and cuts my hair perfectly everytime and always how I ask him to. He always checks in with you and confirms how much you want off the top or sides and will also make suggestions on how he could style your hair but there's no pressure either way. Always a relaxed atmosphere and the conversation can be about anything or if you prefer quiet haircuts he can do that too. You'll most likely have a laugh and enjoy your time.
Couldn't be happier about the overall experience. 10/10.
I. F.Visiting York for the day (I used to live here) and saw this place on Google Street View so decided to give it a try early Saturday morning as my barnet was looking a little long. Glad I did as was made to feel very welcome and lady even made me a tea. Good chat, lovely people and nice haircut, not rushed. Would definitely come back and recommend to others
D. M.I found this place after moving around the corner and I've never looked back. He's a little more than the last place I used to go but it's well worth it. Im usually really quiet but he still manages to get a good conversation going while im there and he has great experience behind the scissors too
T. S.Wow, where to begin with this review? Firstly, the haircut and beard trim were great as always. However, we did have to stop halfway through on account of a chap falling outside the shop next door and splitting his head open. What I saw next was Kara jumping out of the door to rush to the immediate aid of the gentleman, keeping him talking as he started fitting and convulsing on the ground, whilst Kara's missus called an ambulance - and he even tore his sofa apart to bring out a cushion for the bloke as he lay on the ground recovering. They say the real strength and character of a person is tested in (1) how they address crises, and (2) how they treat people in need. Well, Kara and his missus showed their true colours here and my hat goes off to them (which I actually no longer need to wear on account of finally having a decent trim).
Eventually we finished the haircut and beard trim - great as usual - and the combination of Kara's quality banter, terrible dad jokes, great professionalism and all-round heroics in the spur of the moment made this another great experience.
Legend. Will be back of course!
D. F.Was visiting from Hawaii and had a haircut from a very nice man. He did a thing to trim back my ear hair with a flamed wick of sorts that I've never experienced before. It was great and I'd love to know how he did it. I'd reccomend this spot for a cut for anyone. Hope all is well thanks for the great haircut:)
