Just finished my 3rd session with Tom and I couldn't be happier with the results !!! It's amazing how much confidence it has given me, I don't even think about it anymore. Tom was really welcoming on my first visit and was really easy to get along with which made my experience as a whole very pleasant. On my first session I was part of a training group as a model and could tell straight away from his confidence/knowledge and conversation with the students he had the experience and ability to achieve the look I wanted. Tom is a truly great guy and extremely professional. I started to lose my hair at 29 and by 30 it had become so sparse that I felt there was no choice but to shave my head. My self-confidence took a serious blow and for a significant period I became more reserved and introverted. Eventually I found I could live with a bald head by embracing certain lifestyle choices, such as spending time in the gym and eating healthily. I missed having hair, but didn’t want to get implants and have to re-live the anxiety of the hair potentially falling out again. Eventually I decided that SMP was a viable option. I had been following the technique for years, but was worried it was still fairly new and was concerned I might end up with obviously ‘fake’ hair. By the time I turned 38 I felt SMP had been around long enough to have developed and it was time to find an artist. I planned to undergo the treatment with a well-established brand within Bristol, but then found online reviews of Tom which were glowing in their praise. We spoke via video call and the confidence Tom exuded in SMP and his ability convinced me to proceed with him. It was an added bonus that his prices are much better than the other clinic too! I have now finished my sessions and I could not be happier! Stage 1 gives a very subtle change, stage 2 makes a significant difference, and stage 3 finishes the job perfectly. Tom then invites you back two weeks later to assess the results, and whilst I was totally satisfied, he is such a perfectionist that he gave me an additional two hours just to make sure it was 100% flawless. You can be confident that he won’t stop until he is completely satisfied. Tom is very friendly and so easy to talk to that we didn’t stop chatting during all stages of the process. This makes the whole experience far more enjoyable and he is so approachable that if you have any doubts or concerns you can ask him without fear of reprisal. My confidence is back and I feel that I look younger and healthier than I have in years. It was the best decision I’ve made and well worth the money. I’d like to thank Tom for his skill, his kindness and his patience. My advice: if you’re considering SMP and have lingering doubts, give Tom a call. He will put you at ease and I promise you won’t regret it.

Initially very nervous prior to having SMP procedure, due to low confidence regarding appearance in the work setting, and with family and friends. However was reassured by Tom through stages of SMP, and how this can transform not only my appearance, but also my confidence. It’s never easy losing your hair, and its particularly difficult as a woman. I lost my hair due to alopecia and overnight it was as if someone had switched off my inner light. I lost my confidence and I was always worried that people were looking at my hair during conversation and laughing at me. My confidence took a nosedive and I refused to leave my house without wearing an headscarf. I was very unhappy wearing the headscarf especially during the summer months when it got really hot outdoors. Unfortunately, my hair loss was getting progressively worse and I knew I had to do something about my image. My daughter suggested SMP. Yesterday I had my final SMP session with Tom and I wanted to share my experience. I hated the fact I lost my hair in my 30's and over a couple of years I researched hair transplants and other treatments but ruled them out as they were too surgical or the results were uncertain. From my initial consultation and contact with Tom he really filled me with confidence and answered all my questions completely openly and transparent. About 8 weeks after my initial consultation I have an incredible result and I couldn't be happier. Only 8 weeks and affordable, Why did I not do this sooner? Absolutely brilliant – Tom is brilliant, and a very nice chap – absolutely everyone in my family is bowled apart from my nephew who is three years old… and I am not a fan of the thinning look or bald look yet (as I still in my 20’s). Ever since I was about 19, and my hair started thinning, I have been worried about rain or getting my hair wet on holiday… so it didn’t look thin and see through afterwards. For 10 years I was on the ‘regaine’, trying to hold onto what hair I had (which was expensive and my hair never looked how I wanted it to)… I looked into a hair transplant, realised how expensive it was, and what a serious procedure it is... I also really did not fancy popping over to Turkey to get it done for a lot less, after some of the stories I had heard! Which is when I discovered scalp micro pigmentation. As soon as I saw it, I realise that was the look for me - But all the clinics on YouTube were nowhere near me in the south west. After reading his reviews, and doing some research, I came across the Ink On Hair Clinic - Tom was able to give me a look, Where it looks like I have hair but have decided to shave it off. I couldn’t be happier with it, and it is very liberating, no longer am I worried about rain or getting my head wet. Plus Friends, family and girls I have seen since, are completely unaware and think I just have hair… when I really don’t haha. I'm writing this review nearly eight months after my SMP procedure, so I am able to give a true assessment of how it settles over this time period. I’ve never had an issue with my baldness, and I’d long accepted that this is how it’s going to be. However, after seeing the amazing results on someone I’d known to have had the procedure, there was no way I could not have it done! After some initial research into SMP, I could see that there are clearly some who haven’t quite mastered getting a natural looking appearance, so initially I was a little apprehensive. However, seeing examples of Tom’s previous work and knowing someone first hand on whom Tom has worked, my worries were soon allayed. What an improvement! How different it makes you feel is almost indescribable. I had initial thoughts that people were going to know exactly what I’d had done, and was quite frankly expecting some shock reactions. After all, I'd been bald for half my life! But exactly the opposite was true. For me, the confirmation of how natural and realistic it looks was the fact that friends and family who I hadn’t told about the procedure made comments about looking slightly different, younger even, but they couldn’t pinpoint exactly what had changed. Sadly, pretty much the whole time since my SMP procedure, lockdown restrictions have been in place so I haven’t been out and about anywhere near as much as I’d have liked. I’m looking forward to gaging more reactions once life returns to normal. As recommended, I moisturise my head every day and if there’s even the slightest chance of sun, the factor fifty comes out. Eight months later, the appearance is as good as the day it was done. To this day, I still find myself looking in the mirror in admiration of the results! Tom is clearly an expert in this field and I really can’t recommended him enough.

I first stumbled across SMP on the internet. I liked the idea but wanted to get a quality result. I did a lot of research into different places and found Tom @ INKonhairclinic. The reviews I read really sold me on Tom before I had even spoken to him, so I wanted to add my own review now mine is complete. (FYI- I had Norwood scale 7 male pattern baldness before this process.) From the first phone call, Tom was very informative, he filled me with confidence that he could do an amazing job. It does cost a bit of money to get this done and I wasn’t financially ready initially. Tom did not pressure me in any way and was always there to respond when I was finally ready to contact him. Eventually I booked in. I feel like his clinic could easily be renamed ‘The Confidence Factory’. Tom not only did my head, which looks so natural, he was even able to fill in my beard which had a few patchy bits. This is completely restored my confidence and made me feel like a new man. The horseshoe shaped bity on the back on my head is completely gone and the hairline is so natural. It looks great. I cannot recommend Tom highly enough. He is the nicest bloke you could ever hope to meet, his work ethic and passion for delivering amazing results is of the highest calibre. There is very good reason he was voted number 1 in SMP and he’s not the most expensive out there. He even did a little photo shoot for me at the end so I had some nice photos of myself looking cool with me new framed face & hairline. This is the best investment I have ever made in myself. Confidence is priceless. So if you are looking for an SMP artist, look no further, Tom May is your man.

Hi Tom, It’s just over 6 months since my last visit, so I thought I’d drop you a line, and bring you up to date with how things have gone since the treatment. I suppose the best way to illustrate the difference is by using the classic Before and After method 😂😂 BEFORE: massive bald patch on the side of my head, which required daily coverage with hair filings, stuck down with hairspray, and a ridiculous comb over to camouflage the mess. When the alopecia started, around the size of a 2 pence piece, I was able to joke about it. Two years later it was starting to dominate parts of my life, and whilst I wasn’t depressed, it certainly wasn’t a joking matter anymore. Always checking how much worse it had become, having to field people’s comments and the questions of my students in classes, without pretending to be bothered: to be honest I’d had enough, but I couldn’t see a way out. Then my Dad found your company online. AFTER: I know other people might consider this as over the top, but, for me, the change has been miraculous. As far as anyone meeting me now would be able to tell, I am, to all intents and purposes, cured. The treatment did two things. Firstly it gave a basic visual impression of hair on the completely bald part of my head, which I could match up at the hairdressers with a number one or two cut at the sides. Secondly , and more surprisingly , natural hairs started to reappear almost immediately, presumably as a response to stimulation. This has meant that parts of my alopecia patch have now completely re grown! I still need to visit the barbers a couple of times a week ( most barbers are happy to do this on the cheap, as it’s just a quick job with a one or two setting) , but the overall effect is that I now have just the hair style o want, and you could only really notice the problem if you got up really close. Even then, you’d probably put it down to the light , or a natural difference in hair thickness. In short, what you said would happen has happened, and then even more! I couldn’t be more delighted to be honest, and it’s only when the weight of a problem is lifted off your shoulders, that you realise how heavy it had become. On top of that, you were brilliant to work with, always enthusiastic, conscientious, and totally professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you and your service to anyone, but I’d especially say to any young person out there with alopecia, there’s no need to suffer in silence anymore, as Tom can offer a genuine solution that will give you your life back.
