M. F. B.I went here recently as it's quite local in Bearsden and it's just round the corner from me. I DID get a lovely French shellac manicure. They don't use any electric files, all done manually here, which was a bit new to me. I was also asked quite a lot of questions about my existing manicure, the answers to which I hadnt a clue as if you've been getting your nails done every 3 weeks for years on end you can't remember and you leave that to the nail technician; they're the experts. However a beautiful result and my nails were lovely in the end, although at one point one of my nails was crooked and the technician said she couldn't see anything wrong with it. It was so obvious and she did fix it in the end but all this took away from what could have been a more pleasant experience, as I had to argue a bit. I also had to go back a couple of days later with one of the nails beginning to bend and break but this was fixed quickly with no charge.
I would have given Bonnito five stars if they had exuded a bit more confidence and smiled a bit more!! I went there to relax and get a bit if pampering. A welcoming smile is so important to clients and puts them at ease, and if if customers don't get this they will go elsewhere as the competition is fierce between nail salons and salons are everywhere, often with no appointment required.
One of the other customers remarked that girls are nice enough once you get to know them, and I agreed with her, but it would have been appreciated if a cup of tea or coffee had been offerred on arrival, which is standard in most quality salons I've been to. It wouldn't have been difficult as it was very quiet when I arrived, and I was the only customer in at the time....
