Overall, I’m very happy. I was hesitant at first about having a ‘hair tattoo’. However, I was given a free consultation and saw numerous before and after pictures which put my mind at ease. Also, the treatment happened over 3-4 sessions which gave plenty opportunity to evaluate colour, density, etc after each session to make sure everything looks perfect. As a result of living and working abroad, I was limited for time in January. Having came back for a summer break, I managed to get 2 more sessions done. Having previously had a FUE hair procedure done a few years ago, my scalp had some scar tissue that resulting in me having to go back for another couple of sessions to get the desired result. Both Stephen and Steven (Father and Son) have been fantastic with me, adjusting their busy schedule to match mine. My procedure took 5 sessions to get the desired outcome, and I couldn't be happier with the way it looks. After 3 sessions and a review session, the results are brilliant, exactly what I wanted. My hair looks denser and thicker. The first session was a tester to get the colour of the ink right, then once the second session was complete a week later, the results were amazing already. Steven and his dad were very helpful, giving me advice and tips along the way. Virtually no pain at all, was actually quite therapeutic and was hard not to fall asleep. I have medium length blonde hair that is extremely thin on top, the scalp micropigmentation made it look thicker and like I had more hair. Definitely recommended and much easier than a hair transplant. can still get a hair transplant in the future but for now, I am very happy with the results. Once people find out about SMP, everyone will be getting the procedure done.

A lovely environment , and so nice too see a father Steven and his two sons Stephen and Jamie working together to assure perfection in there craft . Unlike these overhyped over priced franchise that feel so clinical and and cold. I went to one of the big franchise for my first procedure, and in my honest opinion, scalp Micro Scotland beats them in every department. Couldn't believe the price I was quoted by Scalp Micro Scotland in comparison too the the big franchises . Steven snr artistry with my hair line is superb , he's an he's a perfectionist, as are is sons. And just such a mellow environment. What a great experience. Both Stephen and Steven were extremely professional throughout. I had four appointments and after each session you could see the subtle progress. Stephen Senior and steven Jnr truly are very very highly skilled! They worked with me to tailor make the hairline that I wanted. Then went on to perfect it and really work their magic. These two guys are perfectionist that are at the top of their game. They don't just listen but really hear what you have to say and take your ideas on board and work with you. They will go back to the drawing board when they have to! I honestly cannot believe the way my head looks, it actually looks like I have 100% coverage of hair and looks nothing like a tattoo. The look of having thin hair has always been a concern to me. I had a hair transplant 5 years ago and whilst it gave me my hairline back I never had the appearance of thickness and density I wanted so after years of using powders and sprays I decided I wanted a less messy and more permanent fix to my problem so I looked into the idea of micro pigmentation. I did my research and spoke to other companies but from the first phone conversation, I knew that the guys at ScalpMicroScotland were the right ones for me. I sent in pictures of my hair/scalp then following a phone consultation a price was agreed and appointments were made—the whole experience was made easy by the guys, all I really had to do was turn up. The sessions themselves were completely painless and after just the first appointment I could see a big difference. It took 4 sessions to achieve the look I desired but I am absolutely delighted with the finished look-can’t believe I waited so long to get it done and the best thing about it is that I got to keep the length and style of my hair the way I like it. The aftercare is straightforward, 7 days of no physical activity or hair washing then it’s pretty much back to normal after that. Steven was always on hand between sessions to answer a text if I had any issues or worries between sessions-which as you can imagine was very reassuring! If anyone is thinking about it then my advice is to stop thinking and get it done, u won’t regret it.

I had my scalp micro pigmentation late last year and i didn't take much convincing. I had only started shaving my hair a handful of times prior to going in to see Steven at scalp micro Scotland. I took me years to build up to getting hair shaved after being self conscious and hating my rapidly disappearing hairline. Once I had shaved my hair I had already ruled out a hair transplant completely as the risk and outcome didn't look appealing. This was seen as a final path that I hoped I wouldn't have to cross, After trying to hide my hair with hats/ comb overs and using different expensive lotions to regain my old hairline. But when I stumbled across scalp micro pigmentation in early December I was interested in making a few consultations and finding out some more information. I went into scalp micro Scotland the following week and met with Steven and his Dad. Who assured me I would be an ideal candidate for the procedure. Talked me through how long it would take, what to do to prolong the hairline and most importantly the cost. They base their prices very fairly compared to any of the other companys offering this type of treatment. I am very happy with the final outcome. I visited a few clinics before deciding to use Steven for my treatment and I cannot recommend his work and service enough. From the initial contact until the end of my treatment, Steven was transparent and didn’t promise anything he knew he couldn’t deliver. Admittingly, I felt that he was being a bit optimistic about the results that he could achieve but I am proof that he knows what he’s talking about. My scarring was quite noticeable and since my treatment, many have commented on how well it’s disguised. It’s been a couple of months since my last session now and the pigments are holding strong which is probably a result of the aftercare recommended by Steven. Life changing experience getting SMP done by Steven at ScalpMicroScotland, was hesitant at first, like any tattoo its permanent for the most part unless you go down the laser route so knew it had to be perfect. I'm a perfectionist to say the least so knew I would be a pretty hard client to satisfy and please. Ask yourself this, are you happy with how you look just now? Are you constantly worried about people looking and judging you by the hair on your head? Do you feel unhappy sometimes when you see your bald head in the mirror? Then need I go further. Honestly SMP is cheapest and most permanent route to go. It was my 28th birthday coming up and was saying to myself after researching SMP for a few months, I think I will get SMP when I turn 30 as I feel that will give me something to look forward to but a few days before my 28th birthday and realised, you know what I fancy getting it done sooner than that, why wait. I looked at mostly the bigger more reputable companies at first and knew they charged a lot more for the work but I don't mind paying for quality and don't mind travelling as well, then I seen ScalpMicroScotland, I must have read and looked at the page and portfolios several times over the next few days till my birthday and I was impressed with the work I was seeing so decided to book a free consultation with Steven to get a good idea and make my mind up. Got a date that very week so went and seen Steven, he was running late that day but he sent me a text and email to say he would be 10 mins late, not a good start but the key here is his communication. That's all it takes. He let me know and I respected him for giving me a heads up, a quality lost in a lot of businesses these days so no harm done. Sat and spoke for about 20 mins about what I wanted, price and dates available and realised this was the guy. 1 Week later I had my first session, parking and location where very easy to get to and access to the building was very good, place was clean and empty so knew it would even be a very private procedure all be it a little cold in the mornings when the place had just opened (maybe arrive and open 10-15 mins earlier to get the place warmer during the winter Steven mate, just a suggestion) I was made to feel very relaxed and spoke about what I was wanting and the results I was after. I also listened to Steven and his recommendations and took on board what might look best as he is experienced in this field. At the same time I knew the look I was after and was reassured at all times knowing myself that you can always add more density and bring the hairline lower rather than starting too low to begin with. First session was a breeze, it's true what all the reviews and testimonials say it really isn't painfully in the slightest, like many I found it somewhat therapeutic and I have had no previous tattoos in my life so this was a first for me. Was very impressed. Having had no hair at the front of my head for several years now (went bald at 21) this small hairline was starting to appear so was excited and it does emotionally and mentally effect you when you see it for the first time. Next few sessions the density started to come along and could really see it take place but like me I still wasn't happy with the hairline, I wanted it lower as I'm still young (but not silly low), he agreed after some persuasion after all it's me that will have it so wanted it to be the way I wanted it and be happy with it, I still listened to their feedback and advice but knew it wasn't what I wanted. Anyone thinking of getting Scalp Micropigmentation treatment done should hesitate no longer, and the only man that should be considered to do so is the excellent Steven at Scalp Microscotland. You need to visit at least 3 times to perfect it but he process is very simple. Steven, along with his father, take great care and caution in making sure everything is nothing less than perfect and you are happy with the result. You relax on very comfortable equipment as the procedure is taking place and it seems like no time has passed until it has been completed. It is a tremendous value for money and most importantly it is an investment in yourself. The studio is easily accessable via Duke Street train station or a 5-10 minute walk from the Forge Retail Park. So there should be no excuses for getting it done here. Easily an 11/10 service.

Just Dae It! If your reading this then your already considering it. I researched quite a bit, medication, transplant = Side effects +££££ and potentially having to retry if didnt work first time. I kind of initially dismissed the idea of msp for various reasons bit once i started reading reviews and watching YouTube videos i reconsidered. Other clinics were quoting to the extent i was thinking it was almost on par with going for the transplant. When i came across SMS i initially thought the cost range sounded far more reasonable but kinda too good to be true spectrum. I was getting more and more of the niggly feeling the thinning was bothering me so i contacted SMS. Steven responded promptly and was able to give me a specific price range based on photos i sent across. From start to finish Steven and his dad Steven snr have been class, genuinely great guys that i felt at ease with from the get go. Steven kept in contact regularly checking in with the healing process in between sessions, even recommended further sessions to ensure i was happy with the finished result at no extra cost. Btw pain wise, i have never had a tattoo done but that was a piece of cake. My mindset was any pain or discomfort was temporary and the result would be worth it. I keep my head shaved using the Pitbull Skull Shaver, it is a great piece of kit, effortless and dont really need a mirror.
