I’m a salon owner myself in America and a world traveler who’s had my hair done everywhere from Chattanooga Tennessee and LA to Canggu Bali and Paris to a Japanese salon in Singapore. Of everywhere I’ve been this salon is my favorite. They do great hair, have the best products, don’t overcharge and they listen while not getting mad! They want you to be happy and when you’re fussy like me that’s everything! I’m always offered tea and a smile, yesterday I needed a hug and got that too with my Moroccan Oil hair treatment and blow dry. I can also say it’s truly lovely to look at and I’m always catching myself noticing the good music. Liz the owner is a lovely woman who leads a staff of passionate and talented stylists, just like her. Highly recommended!!

I only recently discovered this place! Liz did an amazing job of cutting and colouring my hair. She made it go from looking dreary and damaged, to looking shiny and alive again 😍 I also had Melissa do my nails and she did a great job and was very attentive. Will definitely be making this place my regular. 10/10 would recommend.

It's always a pleasure visiting Liz and the girls at Gloss for my colour. Liz is a great colourist and did very good highlights last time. I had dutch braids once by one of the Saturday girls there and it looked fab. It's a low key, laid back salon with a friendly vibe, made even better by the fact that they are just down the road from me! I highly recommend Gloss.

I think I should start this review by saying that hands down, I am a hairdresser's worst nightmare: I'm terrified of getting my hair cut and I don't normally know what I want done or how to explain it. I spend most of the haircut looking moodily into the mirror because I'm scared I'm going to hate it. Today's haircut at Gloss Hair and Beauty was quite possibly the best haircut I've ever had. My stylist, Ellie, knew what I wanted better than I did! I came out feeling like a million dollars (when, normally, even with the best of haircuts, I'm at best, melancholy!). In addition to the great haircut, everyone in the salon was super friendly and down to earth. One of my pet peeves is pretentious hair salons where the stylists act superior but actually don't have a clue. Gloss was the complete opposite - down to earth, incredibly friendly stylists who really know how to cut and style hair. Thank you Ellie, I will be back for sure!

Being local I've been going to Gloss since they opened, having my hair cut by Drw. Not only is he a brilliant stylist, always doing an amazing job, but he and Lise and the whole team are great fun to be with and I look forward to the banter as much as I do a top class cut. Highly recommend.

I discovered Liese and her salon after fleeing the appalling Posh nearby - and although she charges a bit more, she's worth it. Properly trained hairdressing and beauty treatments, extremely nice staff. peaceful surroundings. I never leave without feeling revived.

Please don't take any notice of the first reviewer. If she had stayed around, she would have left with a fantastic cut and colour and a big smile, like I did this evening. I have been travelling from Oxford to see Lis for years, she is a brilliant stylist. Lis is warm and friendly, she always listens carefully to what you want, but can also suggest new ideas. The new salon is lovely and very good value. Many of my friends and family also go to Lis and I have never heard of anyone who is disappointed.

Brilliant! I have been travelling out of London for 10 years and when I recently moved I walked past Gloss and thought I'd give it a try. I wish I'd found it sooner! Liz is great, I've had great colour and cuts done and the prices are great too. Can't recommend it enough.

I had an eyebrow wax with Nadine after doing a Google search for affordable salons in my area. This was my first visit and I am sure that I will be back; the staff were cheerful early on a Sunday, and Nadine was professional and friendly. She did a lovely job on my wild eyebrows and I am very pleased with the result.

I've been going to Lise for about 5 years and recommend her every chance I get. All I can say is she is fantastic. She really listens to what you want and advises you as to what will / will not work. Any friends that have been have also spoken highly. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else now.

I used to come here to have a haircut with Lisa and I enjoyed her haircut and also the chats we had. But very often she will run at least 1/2h late...and I did not like the fact that I booked appointment with her and someone else will see me instead....I stopped coming for this reason....

The best hair salon in London. I tried Radio Hair Salon in Shoreditch, several by Covent Garden... There were all pretentious and pointless. Drew and the whole team are great, talented and a lot fun! AND it's cheap!
