Hi all, it took me a lot of research to settle on Crown clinic and Dr Shahmalak. I went with Crown clinic because it is in the UK, they have a history with Afro hair and Dr Sharmalak was happy to have a review in person before I made the decision to proceed. Most of the other clinics I found online had no named Doctor which made me sceptical. Based on the review with Dr Sharmalak, the decision was made to only focus on the front as the crown could be managed. I did the FUE and Dr Sharmalak was involved in all the processes from start to finish and which I was really impressed with. Everyone in the clinic was also welcoming. The procedure itself took some hours but with the chats with all involved, the time went by really quickly. I must say that I am really impressed so far and can;'t thank Crown clinic enough. Location wise, I went to the Manchester clinic which is only a stone throw from the airport which is really convenient. I would have given 6-star if I could. so definitely 5-stars.

This clinic peovides an excellent service which was matched only by the humility and genuine care that was shown by Dr. Shahmalak and his fabulous team of technicians (you will understand if you are ever forunate to be operated upon by his team😉). All kidding aside if you do your due dilligemce you will find that Dr. Shamalak is certified by the BAHRS and ISHRS. Moreover, rest assured these associations only acknowledge the very best hair transplant surgeons. A hair transplant operation will always carry risks that no surgeon can guarantee to stop from occuring. However, despite this knowledge I was comfortable in carrying out back to back sugeries with this surgery and I am not surprised to say the results are excellent. The reason I am not surprised is simply because this clinic will provide you the best odds available in carrying out successful surgeries based on all of the certifications and sucessful surgeries Dr Shahmalak has carried out. To cut this long review short if you want the best odds of having a successful hair transplant this is the clinic that will deliver just look at all of the reputable hair transplant associations that have certified this clinic.

My experience at this clinic was exemplary from start to finish with the pleasant welcoming professional staff & the main man Dr Shahmalak who all made me feel important & comfortable. The procedure was explained in the highest detail with no stone unturned or doubt placed. On the day of surgery I was extremely well cared for over the 9 hour FUE transplant, all the girls in the theatre had great personality’s & you could feel they all enjoyed there work. The environment was light & bubbly & full of banter which was welcomed & made the day go faster. I enjoyed it that much if I had 2 heads I would of stayed to get both done just for the laughs 😂. I had consultations at other UK transplant clinics but none came close in making my decision to use the services provided by Crown Clinic. Could not praise Dr Shamalak and the Crown Clinic team enough. Superb service from the initial consultation, through to the day of the surgery, as well as the post surgery after-care. I am 2 weeks since my operation (FUE) now and I am really pleased with the result. Although, I know that I need to wait several months to realise the full benefit. I would highly recommend Dr Shamalak and Crown Clinic to anyone considering a hair transplant. From all of the research that I did, I found Dr Shamalak to be one of a few surgeons in the UK that I fully trusted. I'm only two days post-surgery, so obviously can't comment on the final results, but at this stage I couldn't be happier. From consultation through to the day of surgery, I was filled with confidence by Dr Shahmalak and the whole team. For anyone considering surgery, I'd strongly suggest you speak to Dr Shahmalak. I had done a lot of research before speaking to him, but his honesty about my situation and what could be achieved through surgery was refreshing. I came out with a much better understanding than I went in - I think that is worth the price of the consultation even if you don't proceed. As far as everything else goes: Communication before and post surgery has been fantastic, and the day of surgery - which naturally I was absolutely dreading - was made into an absolute pleasure by Dr S and his team. Well, as much pleasure as surgery can be! I honestly can't praise the whole team highly enough. Crown Clinic won't be your cheapest option, but with the type of surgery you're considering, I'd suggest you focus on the best option, not the cheapest. The procedure took 7 hours (3,500 grafts) including coffee break and lunch which went by beautifully well. I had an FUE at the Crown on 02/03/2022. 2,500 grafts were taken and redistributed predominantly in the crown area but some in the hairline at the front. I carried out my own extensive research of a number of Clinics, undertaking FUE procedures, before opting for the Crown. Mr Shahmalak and his skilled support team were first class throughout the whole procedure and made me feel very relaxed. The Crown may not be the cheapest option when considering a FUE procedure but on the basis of my research and experience to-date you get what you pay for! Today is the second day, post op. I'm following the post op guidance and so far have no head swelling and little or no pain. Time will tell how the finished 'article' turns out but so far so good.

Both me and my mother attended Crown Clinic for an FUE on 1st March 2021. We received 110% professional advice and care before, during and after surgery. Mr Shahmalak and his team were such a joy to be around during the surgery, they made us both feel comfortable and safe at all times even during the pandemic. The nurses who work along side him are a brilliant bunch of girls and really were a pleasure to be with. Any questions or worries we had they helped and made us feel at ease with their knowledge and compassion. We had a lovely lunch after our surgery and was provided with plenty cups of tea. Mr Shahmalak is very knowledgeable and has years of experience. We both felt very safe in his hands during the whole experience. We received excellent pre and post operative information. Joanne rang us a few days after surgery to check how we was getting on. There is also an out of hours number you can message or call if you have any concerns. Fantastic service this is my mother's second time returning to Crown Clinic and her first procedure was very successful. I'm sure we will be back in a few years. If you are considering Crown Clinic to help you - both of us would highly highly recommend.

From initial consultation through to the day of the procedure I was made to feel to feel at ease and welcome. Dr Shahmalak is clearly extremely good at what he does which is very reassuring but all of the technicians were amazing too. It was a pleasure to be in their company for the day. I attended the Crown Clinic in July 21 for FUE transplant. I had an initial consultation to see what options I had available to me and whether a procedure was worthwhile. Dr Shahmalak has an excellent reputation in the industry being one of leading surgeons in the UK. I was always anxious about surgery and played around idea for years before taking the plunge. I needed a number of local anaesthetic injections to numb the scalp area and have an irrational fear of needles! I cannot say that endured any pain as such during the process of extraction and insertion of grafts. I actually watched Netflixs and had lively banter with the technicians during this time. I have seen endless pics online from those visiting Turkey where patients have been left butchered with patients sent home covered in blood-stained bandages. I was surprised as to how clean the donor area was post op and not needing bandages. I was able to drive myself home and wear a baseball cap pretty much straight away. I was put at ease on the day and team were fantastic. The day was not as long as I thought we started 8am and finished by 4pm with a 1-hour lunch break which was provided by the clinic. The clinic is modern, they only use state of the art technology. It is clean and tidy and also in an easily accessible part of Manchester with private parking which is handy. Unfortunately had to come out of hiding as face people shortly after the procedure due to a family emergency but people literally thought I had a buzz cut. Currently going through the shedding stage but can see new growth already which is great. Cannot wait to see the final result. I explored other clinics out there which shall remain nameless. They might be cheap but be warned that they have invested heavily in slick marketing campaigns on social media and forums etc. Out of the clinics I contacted, I never actually met the surgeon. The consultations were carried out by sales men and in one case a former client of the clinic! The Crown Clinic was the only one where I met with the surgeon direct. Imagine going for heart surgery and never meeting a doctor! It does not mean they are the best out there. Do your due diligence. p.s. this is a genuine post from a very happy Crown Clinic client.

Having just undergone FUE treatment, I cannot recommend Crown Clinic enough. The whole experience from start to finish was so friendly and thoroughly professional. During my initial consultation Dr Shahmalak explained in great detail what procedures were available to me and exactly how it works, so for me it was just a matter of opting for either an FUT or FUE treatment. Leading up to the procedure, the Clinic kept in contact with me and were only too happy to answer any questions I may have. On the day of the procedure I was made to feel very comfortable and was informed of how the day was going to go - this was very much welcomed and made me feel at ease. Throughout my surgery Mr Shahmalak and his excellent team were happy to talk in general or about the procedure whilst answering any questions. On completion of the procedure I was advise on my aftercare by the team and given all the necessary lotions, shampoos etc... I now cannot wait to see the results of the procedure.

Crown Clinic uses the right tools for the job at hand, but their greatest asset is Dr Shahmalak himself; a talented, ethical and kind physician, who I can confidently say will always have his patients' best interests at heart. While mother nature has been far from kind to me with regards to my hair loss, Dr Shahmalak and his angelic team at Crown Clinic most certainly have been. The swiftness and precision of my two FUE surgeries, coupled with clear pre-operative instructions and post-operative care, undoubtedly went a long way towards limiting my treatment complications, minimising my recovery time and maximising my results. Above all else, remember, your donor supply is finite and surgical results are long lasting, so don't be lured by special offers from ineffectual physicians. For this reason I would encourage anyone considering surgical treatment for hair loss to take the time to consult with Dr Shahmalak at either his Manchester or London clinic.

With 2 prior transplants under my belt - one in London & one in Turkey. I didn't feel that I was as 'looked after' as well as I wanted to be previously so I was looking for a standout surgeon / experience this time around and I definitely found him / them. The service from Dr Shamalak and his team yesterday was a breath of fresh air compared to what I had experienced previously. Communication and vision of what we were looking to achieve and why was great, the facilities were much better and the main thing for me was the team spirit and service they have in their Manchester clinic that set me at ease for the whole day. One thing that definitely surprised me was the lack of pain in the beard to hair transplant part of the operation. Certainly something I may look to do again now I have used up most of my donor area. Dr Shahmalak and his entire team are an absolute credit to their profession. I had been considering this procedure for a while and hence, thoroughly researched different methods and even looked into getting this procedure done outside the UK. I was especially worried about post-operative complications as had come across a fair amount of horror stories. I wanted to share my experience with anyone considering an eyebrow transplant. Having eventually finding the courage to reach out and source a reputable surgeon. Dr Asim Shahmalak Private Crown Clinic based near Manchester Airport. Discreetly situated for anyone wishing to remain incognito. My first impression of the clinic was WOW!!! Stunning and impressively immaculate. State of the art technology, spacious, airy and very inviting. This was before meeting an equally fantastic Dr Asim Shahmalak. I was struck how down to earth and humble he is. With immense credentials behind him, from a strong NHS background and the work he has privately carried out in his own time and money to help those acid victims in Pakistan to name a few. His bedside manner is certainly something a lot of people can learn to adopt in his field. I felt confident and safe. My initial consultation was amazing, Dr Shahmalak explained in-depth what to expect at every stage. I did not feel pressured to sign up, I was given the option to think about it. Which really impressed me. My questions were answered and was allowed to share any concerns. It was not like a sales environment with pushy sales men more concerned with reaching their targets set and earning a commission. This just demonstrates, the extent Dr Shahmalak will go to ensure his patients feel confident and safe. I had the luxury of actually thinking about my procedure and the end result. Designer eyebrows!! Dr Shahmalak has a fantastic team supporting him, Afshan Shafi the clinic manager, Joanne South the patient coordinator and the technicians Rosa and Aparna. Together they have created a professional, friendly environment. With patient care top priority. A beautiful private room is provided to relax before and after surgery. Lunch is provided, team would pop in to check I was ok. I felt very spoilt and fussed over! The actual procedure was surprisingly stress free, perhaps all of the above set in place was the secret to their success. I opted to have the FUE technique procedure which didn’t really hurt, just felt like pin pricks, if it did at any stage I did start to feel anything I would raise my hand and I was given more pain relief. In terms of recovery period, well, as long as you follow instructions to the letter, no water comes into contact with the area. Ensure you take the prescribed medicine and use the saline spray provided. I took around 8 days off work to allow the bruising and swelling to disappear around the eye area. Remember, no make up or skincare during this critical period. You don’t want to cause unnecessary infections. You are on your way to show off your gorgeous designer brows. Important note, make sure you train the brows to flow in the natural direction. Trim them regularly. Also a handy tip, I came across many brow gel mascara wands on the market with various shades to suit you. That really sets them in place and gives them that wow effect !! For me, I was so glad I took that step to reach out and correct the damage caused by years of overplucking. Brows are so important as they frame your face, especially working in the beauty industry in a high end department store. All eyes are on you! You want to look your best. Also, I can’t explain how much time I save in the morning trying to draw on perfect brows that never look the same! 12 months later - Well now, I can go make up free and feel confident going out. You can’t put a price on that!!!! Thank you Dr Asim for giving me back my confidence and to feel feminine again.
