What a wonderful and relaxing treatment. I always love going to Beautiful Escape Retreat in Mortimer, near Reading where you are greeted by Ruth and her “girls “ Today I enjoyed a Classic Pedicure. With the sun starting to shine those little tootsies needed a bit of attention. After a little maintenance my feet enjoyed a lovely soak in warm water, followed by cuticle tidy, cut and file and then the best part comes. A relaxing foot massage finishing with a buff, base coat and then the colour of your choice. There are so many lovely colours to choose from in the Jessica range. I went for Foxy Roxy a luscious pink/purple What colour would you choose?

A peaceful and relaxing retreat with a treatment to suit your every need. The girls are all friendly and make me feel like a valued client by not rushing through treatments to move onto the next one unlike some spas and salons. Nothing is too much trouble. The Yoga Lift Experience with Ruth is truly amazing with a combination of a facial and massage. I would highly recommend it.

Another fabulous experience! Today's treatment was a massage followed by a facial. Skin feels amazing, I am totally relaxed, but the head massage has messed up my hair! It's a small price to pay. Thanks Holly!

Beautiful Escape Retreat is a boutique salon located in Mortimer in the countryside just a stones throw away from Reading. Ruth, Holly and Meeka pride themselves on personal service and offer a range of treatments to suit all. This countryside retreat immediately transports you away from the hustle and bustle of life and you leave feeling refreshed and energised! Over the years I have sampled a range of massages to the head, neck, back and shoulders. Choose from gentle or firm pressure to the body and allow yourself to switch off and relax to the sound of calming music. I attend for pedicures throughout the year. There is an excellent range of colours to choose from (nudes, vibrant or sparkly). Your feet are filed and then exfoliated before being soaked in warm water. Cuticles are pushed back and then your nails cut and shaped before being painted! I usually have a pedicure at the same time as a family member so we can sit and chat at the same time. It’s the perfect treatment to have with a friend/ loved one. Finally facials - these are treatments that I swear by! I switch up my facials each time I go but I love the Vitamin Glow. It’s award winning and leaves my skin feeling plump and dewey. Different massage techniques are used on the skin and I often have people compliment my skin in the days following. Beautiful Escape Retreat has a spa like feel to it with all the personal touches of a salon! It is no surprise that they have been finalists for Beauty Salon of the Year!! Could not recommend enough!

If you are looking for a new place to go for your beauty treatments I would highly recommend this place. The girls are ALL LOVELY , the treatments are EXCELLENT, the decor is FABULOUS, you will come out relaxed and happy. Also what I love is they don't push on you the products they use on you, you have to ask them about it if you want to buy something. They have great gifts sets in and special things for Christmas gifts so would recommend you pop along. Also for your other halves, my husband goes regularly for a massage with Ruth (owner) who he says is excellent (he very fussy so this is a real compliment), also Holly is excellent at massages as well. Sophie is brilliant too, she is brilliant at nail painting and a real people person, my mum loved her as Sophie is a very lovely young girl and she made my mum feel very relaxed (first time she had ever been to somewhere like this). So basically any of the girls will be brilliant, and you will want to go back as you will arrive a stranger and leave as a family member.

Had a wonderful facial here, which included back & neck massage & an arm massage - very relaxing, & all at just the right pressure. It was deeply soothing, smelled divine! Truly lovely experience, & it was a hugely appreciated gift - highly recommend. There are some fabulous looking deals as well.

I’m always happy with the service at Beautiful Escape. I have fortunate to have regular facials, which are just divine. Ruth and the girls are so caring and Ruth in particular can’t do enough to ensure everything is satisfactory. Today I had a hot stones massage before my facial, and it was so relaxing and really helped with the tension in my shoulders. If you’ve not tried one before, you must, it’s lovely. It’s so good to be back at Beautiful escape after such a long time. Such a wonderfully friendly environment with excellent treatments. I had the wonderful Meeka who gave me a gel pedicure. This was so relaxing and expertly carried out. I also had a head in heaven massage which I think is one of my favourites. I’m looking forward to my next trip back already.
