I had a good experience here. I have visited on two occasions, and both have been fine. The service I received was satisfactory. the guys who attended to me on both occasions were very polite and helpful. I got my tyres pumped for free, and got some advice on my bike.
The interior is very clean and there is a wide variety of bikes and bike accessories for sale. the only downside is that the average person may find a lot of items to be very pricey, but other than that, this is a brilliant bike shop!

Had 3 recent retail experiences & one 'service' experience. All top class. One item I bought was far too complex for me to remember how to use it on an occasional basis. They took it back altho' package was opened. (Not saying that should always happen, but it did.) Today I had a bike booked in for a repair. Didn't have to leave it as planned. Done on the spot and with plenty info. (Not saying that should always happen either!, but appreciated.) Old bike has gone from a thing of stress, query-dead, back to a thing of joy.

It's a bike shop staffed by young men who cycle. It's an independent which I prefer to the chains. I was only in to scrounge a bike box, but looking round they had some decent kit. I was struck by the fact that the huge majority of bikes for sale at present are black. It's a fashion thing I guess.

Fab friendly easy going service! Essentially a walk in (phoned moments beforehand) and they were able to help me with new brake pads and a tyre pump. Affordable and I'd definitely return as a customer.

Very professional service! Shout out to my Man Owen The Man who quickly fixed my hydraulics brakes issue when other shops required to leave bike for hours. Highly recommend!

Not been past Alpine Bikes in Years, but had a failure on my Disk Brakes at the weekend. The gentleman running the service shop in Aberdeen could not be more helpful even though I dropped in unannounced. Very impressed with the Customer Service from him. Refreshing change to the norm these days

Needed a bit of help getting a crown race fitted to a set of forks for a bike build I was working on. The service guys were really helpful, despite the job turning more complicated than anticipated. Have used Alpine a few times over the last couple of years for some service parts and have always found them really helpful and friendly.

I had the headset replaced by another bike shop, they told my while they changed the bearing there would always be play. It got worse and worse. I pass Alpine on my way daily so I thought I'd ask some advice. Couldn't be more helpful. I didn't get the young man's name but he really is an asset to Alpine bikes.

Absolutely brilliant - bike went in very used and not in the best condition (dripping with grease, frayed wires, bad brakes) and it came out fully repaired, recommendations for future services and it received an amazing clean - really appreciate the fantastic service guys. Would give 10 stars if I could because that was no small job! 👏
In fact....⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience with these guys and getting repairs completed successfully. Albeit there can be longer than ideal wait times for an appointment but the service is always great and completed professionally.

Very pleasant experience, I've got a bike with its seat seized and the staff were quick to identify and attempt to fix the issue and give out tips and observations along the way. On top of being helpful with the issue I had they fixed my bike seat along the way that I had not secured properly. 10/10

Great customer service! I would highly recommend Alpine bikes store.
I had a flat bike tyre and Filip was very helpful and willing to pump my tyres and fixed the angle of the stem as well. I had no idea about bikes and he showed me how to pump my bike's tyres to the correct pressure and gave me appropriate advice about my bike. Thank you so much for all your help!

Great, friendly advice, again. I've bought 3 bikes from Alpine Bikes. The first was such a good experience I've been back ever since until I recently bought a 2nd hand trek online. I had a query about the frame and they let me come down immediately even though they are really busy. No charge for their service and great advice as always. It would be great if they did part exchange!

Today I lost a bolt from my bike, the problem was solved immediately, very friendly and professional staff, thank you 😊

Great customer service. Had bike in local shop in Aberdeenshire for 3 weeks waiting to get fixed. Ended up taking it back due to company told me part would not be available until October. Rang Alpine Bikes where I purchased bike from. Brought in next day and fixed within 10mins. I would gladly do a 80mile journey next time I need my bike fixed. Well done guys.

Superb bike shop with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. In a competitive market these guys have been at the top of their game for years. If you care about supporting independent businesses then these guys are for you.

After being really let down by another bike shop for months (evans) I went to alpine bikes. Just wish I went here in the first place.
Walked in and got to try a bike for size and they had bikes instock.
Bought a new bike about 1030 and asked for some slight modificatons they had the bike ready for 1530 the same day.
Cant say any better will be going back here again if I need anything.

Knowledgeable staff and good products. I was really impressed when I went in on a Sunday morning with a snapped gear cable, expecting to drop the bike off for a week. Instead they repaired it there and then and I was back on the road a few minutes later.

Received excellent service from the guys at alpine bikes recently. I bought a hybrid bike from them and they sorted me out with all the accessories i could need in store with good knowledge. The only issue i had was my gears started slipping after about 3 weeks of riding. This issue was sorted instantly by the workshop during my included free service and i couldn't be happier with he bike since. :)

Recently got one of my bikes serviced and bought a new bike also. Guy with beard was very helpful and talked me through all my options to ensure I understood exactly what the issues were and where my money was going. I am very pleased with the quality of the service and have had no issues with my bike since. When buying my new bike I was served by Jerad, he was pretty friendly and helpful. Very happy with the bike, Thank you Alpine for your great service.

To the two guys who fixed the loose & dangerous headset on my Airnimal & got me back on the road only the highest praise.

Shopped here today(7/02/16) and was extremely impressed with the sales staff. I had researched a rear rack for my wife's bike, but as it has disk brakes and pre fitted mudguards I was unsure of exact requirements and fitting. The sales assistant was very knowledgeable and very helpful and it was a pleasure to make my purchase here.

I have mixed feelings about this bikeshop...
My bike kept rerailing mid-pressure on the peddle, and obviously, on the road, this is quite dangerous! I took it in to be fixed - and indeed, they fixed HALF the gears.
Another odd thing that happened, and perhaps it was just bad luck that caused this, is I put the bike in, with its chain lock unlocked, knowing the code full-well...
When I got the bike back, the chain was locked, the code had been changed (Or perhaps it rusted inside? It was only 3-weeks old!!!) I find this VERY suspicious. I'd like to presume some annoying little kid decided to cause me mayhem, since these guys don't keep your bikes in secure locations.
When I took it back in the next day because it couldn't handle gear 6,7, and left-gear n.3, they took it there and then (They didn't have any appointments) and without pay (What was quite nice of them) had another look. They couldn't find a problem when I so obviously had one and told me quite frankly that, whatever it was, they couldn't help me with.
I wasn't overcharged, and the staff were quite friendly - so they had a high 'Very Good' rating. But since I'm the customer, and it was my money being spent for their time, I believe 'Poor' is appropriate.
On another note, I recently got sick of the gearing problem that kept getting worse and booked an appointment to take it in a few days from this reviews post. I had to cancel it in the end, and they seemed quite good about it - no 'We demand fee's for doing nothing!' bullshit. Good Customer Relations indeed!

The staff are friendly, and they are open good hours, 6pm most days,7pm Thurs, 5pm on Sundays. Work has to be booked well in advance and Services and goods aren't necessarily the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
They responded well to some problems I had with a service. I was ready to take my custom elsewhere, but decided to make the person in charge aware of my dissatisfaction. The response from the guy in charge, (Stuart), was first class. The bike was taken back immediately and everything re-done and, where necessary, corrected, with no charge for additional parts needed. He was open and honest about the errors and apologised for what had happened. A great recovery!
I'll continue to use them.

Alpine was the best shop round about 1991 - 94. Havnt been in here so couldn't say.

Visited Alpine Bikes becasue problem with gear change/selector. Had great service a couples of years ago so hoping for the same. They guy in the service shop explained he'd have a look but I may have to bring back if anything major.
He very quickly and correctly detected the problem and was able to adjust the selector to allow at least a limited range of gears until the service could be done. He also offered some advice on maintenance and let me use their fancy pump (with reliable gauge) to check my tyes - All no charge.
Only criticism is they can't or won't set more precise appointment times. I appreciate service isn't an exact science but some customers will prefer next day collection and others after one or two hours. I'm sure with a little imagination they could accommodate both. Offering a one or two hour window so I could avoid a return trip would be very helpful.

Great, fast, friendly service! Puncture fixed and our fun day can continue. Thank you Alpine Bikes!

I had just replaced the chain on my commuting bike which then highlighted that the rear cassette was also worn. Popped in here on the off chance on my way home from work to buy a new cassette."Would you like me to fit it?" asked the guy serving me. So, new cassette purchased, fitted and paid for within about 3 minutes. Good price too. Highly delighted with the service. (PS. had phoned Halfrauds earlier to ask them about a replacement rear cassette. They wanted me to leave the bike with them for 10 days so they could do the same job that Alpine Bikes did in three minutes. They wanted double the money too...)
Going to Alpine Bikes is a no brainer.

Great Staff! Went in to get my first road bike for a sportive i'm doing. The young sales assistant was very helpful, i didnt really know where to start. He talked me through all the different bikes and i settled on a Cannondale synapse. We also talked about what else i would be needing to do a sportive, he was very knowledgeable and he gave me some great advice about issues he has had in the past. I even got discount off with my Outdoor Experience card!

Friendly and helpful staff but, as with all bike shops at the moment, not much stock.

Went in to get a specific Bontrager piece for my stem, not a sale piece. Your employee found one for me and gave it to me for free (didnt catch his name, 5pm ish on 5th Sept). A small gesture but an invaluable one for me, thank you. I didn't even buy anything - be assured that I will be back whenever I need to buy something from now on!
Absolutely fantastic service.
