It’s fine and very expensive.
However, after entering today to speak about a really insignificant problem, the dude that spoke to me (I think he’s the manager) just wanted to get rid of me. Very transactional conversation that came across as very cold.
My personal preference is a good personal connection with a service provider, so it might suit some people, just not me.
Their repair service is fine but the cost was significantly more than anticipated.
I’m just going to use another Aberdeen bike shop in the future.

Great shop with friendly and helpful staff. Able to quickly fix problems with no fuss and they explain what’s been done as well as giving good advice. Best of all…they don’t make you feel like an idiot when you go in for help with minor things! Will be my go to bike shop from now on.

This is a great bike shop in Central Aberdeen. The people who work here are enthuiastic, knowledgeable bike users. There's a wide range of bikes on display and a massive range of spares and accessories. If you need to use 4 wheels to get to the shop there's a handy carpark at the back of the shop, accessed through a narrow (but wide enough) lane - take extra care coming out back in to the street as lots of people use the pavement and the visibility is limited.
Great Bike Shop!

Went in with an issue with a slow puncture. The staff where super friendly and very helpful and knowledgable about bikes. Was kind enough to fix my problem there and then considering it was quite close to closing. Very reasonably priced.

Well the boys in this shop really came to my rescue, really went the extra mile. They did a brilliant service and best after care service. I would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot recommend this bike shop highly enough. My bike was booked in this morning for some minor adjustments which were attended to then and there. I also asked about some accessories I was interested in and was pleased they were in stock and were also fitted for me as I waited. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I shall definitely be back.

They promptly repaired my bike without fuss. The chain and gears were broken and the hanger bent. All foxed at a reasonable price, thanks.

Great service. Bike now fills like brand new.

These guys are absolutely top dollar!
Fit mudguards on for me and was ready to collect the next day. Looked amazing and were cheaper than elsewhere, and they fit them for me.
After rough use over a month some bolts had fallen off, took it back and within ten minutes they had fixed it up for me then and there, free of charge. Even though some bolts missing were from the paneer rack which they did not install. Beyond delighted with their service, will be going back for all my bike needs! Guys are really wonderful
P. S.
Very pleased with my service!! Gave them a pretty neglected bike and they've got it working great again for a reasonable price. All very efficient and communicative. Definitely will go for all bike needs in future :) Thank you!!

I dropped my sons bike in to have a new chain installed last weekend following a mishap while out on the trail. The guys were first class.
They took the time to look over what we needed, said it would be ready the next day and they'd give me a call when complete.
An hour later the phone rings.. they'd had a cancellation so got to work on my bike early which was now ready to collect. They'd also taken the time to slightly adjust my front derailleur so that everything worked a-okay.
Delighted is an understatement. Will definitely be back

Great bike shop the friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Popped for a new inner tube and to ask about a rack. They weren't prepared to advise without seeing the bike in question as it's way too easy to by the wrong rack so I agreed to return with the bike before making any decision.

Absolutely a great bike shop. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I went to buy some grease for my bike today and unfortunately the shop was sold out. However a member of staff got me a small bit for from their workshop so I wouldn't be stuck. Would recommend them to friends and family alike

Fantastic service from the Aberdeen branch employees, very helpful sourcing the spares I required to get my bike back on the road. Highly recommend shopping here
P.
Having initially received a marginal PDI service, my opinion of them had improved over the next ten months, as the bike developed a three further major issues, two of which were resolved by the shop, the other I went straight to the crank importer.
The one thing I would say is that the local branch should be given the autonomy to be able to purchase direct from suppliers, instead of having to order through their head office, which can add ten days onto supply time for spare parts arriving in their branch.
Thanks for resolving the last two issues.

I put my road bike in here for an annual service, as I have done for a number of years and have yet to be disappointed. First class service. I got a phone call during the day highlighting what work was required and the cost of the parts and if it was ok to go ahead, a a text when the work is completed. Upon collection I received an itemised bill and an explanation of the work carried out. A bike shop staffed by riders and are willing to discuss all manner of things cycling. Shop has its own car park out the back, so there is no issue with street parking to drop off or collect your bike should you drive there. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Visited today looking for advice and to source parts to rectify a problem with my brakes. Oliver greeted me at the door in line with their COVID guidelines and after explaining my issue, he set about looking at the bike and confirmed what was needed. A combination of parts and him showing me the best way to fit and overcome the issue and I was on my way within 10 mins. Excellent service from Oliver!

These guys have been absolutely fantastic both in shop and mechanics. I had a minor concern with my bike the other week and they checked over it for me without any questions. (Admittedly previously had a service with them). But become a customer and they will treat you really well! And really knowledgeable. thanks so much for all your help!
A. F.
Its not a bad shop or mechanics but too expensive. I took my bicycle omly to fix the front, rear brakes (not a serious damage, and maybe took 25-30 min to fix it) the guy told me prev day its going to be 20£, I went for my bike today and an another guy said its going to be 24£ altogether. I was like: Whaaat?! Are you kidding?
So I was a little disappointed because of this... But the staff was alright

I have just had two touring cycle wheels made up and the whole process from start to finish was a great experience! I dealt with the on-line sales team who took and processed my very specific requirements and then collected the wheels from the Aberdeen store.
The customer service was excellent throughout, and I was regularly kept informed of progress. The price was really good (I doubt I could have had it done for less anywhere within the UK - and I did look), and the quality of the wheel build was 100%.
I am one VERY satisfied customer; a big thank you to all for a genuinely first class service.

Halfords failed servicing once again rectified by Edinburgh bike. Thanks guys for an on the spot repair and getting me home! (Halfords servicing was not by choice - a big fan of smaller companies for reasons such as this)

Had a puncture on the way home this week and went into the Aberdeen shop. The staff were very helpful and said that I should use their work station in the store to fix the puncture. Very hospitable and approachable staff and I found them to offer a lot of support and advice.
Also, a couple of months ago I bought a bike for commuting to work and have found the sales and after sales support to be exemplary. Would highly recommend for folk looking to get a bike through the cycle to work scheme.
Cheers

Always a good experience. The repair shop gives an awesome service

I attended the Intensive Cycle Maintenance course at Aberdeen recently. I had a thoroughly useful and enjoyable day. Grant was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, clear in his explanations and very patient with us all. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we all came away with our bikes in better condition than they were when we arrived. I for one will be more confident in taking on tasks myself in the future. He was a great advert for your company and I would thoroughly recommend the course.

Very helpful and friendly staff been a customer of this place for a long time and I'm very happy with the service they provide. The manager is very knowledgeable and has a clear passion for latest and greatest bikes.

What a superb service from Edinburgh Bikes. Staff and particularly the head mechanic Dan Milne have done everything they could to help me to replace my broken road bike. Excellent advice and a fantastic job setting up my new bike. Much appreciated.

I was in Edinburgh cycles for the first time, I had a cererra banshee X 2013 full suspension. One of the staff members from there was on point and knew exactly what he was talking about considering the bine was from halfords. I was pleased to say that Edinburgh cycles know more about bikes than halfords FACT! Good bike shopand was happy with the customer service too!

Quick and excellent replacement of my rusty mountain bike's bottom bracket and front break pads. Despite having a minor issue after the repairs, this was not a hassle as it was fixed promptly.
Shout out to Steven for the good work and service.
C. E.
First class service, would recommend. That's the second time the guys in the workshop have done a quick fix for me free of charge. Most other places would be trying up sell you stuff you don't need. Wouldn't use anyone else now, thanks a lot.

This is now the second time that I have been to EBC in George St Aberdeen. The guys were terrific. I expected my bike to be in for a while but I received a text the same day saying it was ready. The guys explained fully what they had done, and options for future work if I wanted. Cant praise them enough.

Workshop staff are knowledgeable and completed the repairs I was after efficiently and well. Staff have really upped their game and as a long time user of the store the negative press the workshop got 3 or 4 years ago is long behind them. Very happy customer

Had a bit of a to-do buying my new bike.
My biggest disappointment was with the bike and nothing to do with EBC. What everyone must understand is that there is a price range of bikes in which anybody will be dissappointed. This is the range between £1,000 and about £2,500.
You are taking a step up from the sub £1,000 starter bike and are making a significant investment. However, in this price range you will get higher specification gear, but to keep costs down there is a sacrifice. This sacrifice is in finnish, cable routing & etc. These things do not affect function, they are merely asthetics. Nevertheless, 1.5k is a waad of cash and it is always dissappointing to get something which looks like a refugee from B&Q with all those tie-wraps.
With respect to EBC, my experience was that it is not a good idea to buy a new bike on a Saturday - certainly in Aberdeen. It appears that Saturday, far from being the day when most retail business is done, it is the day when the knowledgeable and experienced are in short supply and the place is staffed with schoolies and students. Everyone starts somewhere and I don't want to dwell on it, but I got some very poor advice on accessories, the receipt was not checked and this has been the crux of my bad experiences. Tuesday may also be a bad day for EBC. I picked up the bike on a Tuesday and didn't so much as get any assistance to set the correct saddle height, although that could be on account of my obvious dissappointment in the bike. Additionally the paperwork was not checked properly. I was aware that my dissappointment was not with EBC but with Cannondale, however, I was also aware that there was something wrong with the bike but could not pin-point the problem. I didn't identify the problem as the wrong accessories fitted until I got home.
It turns out there was a good reason for the wrong accessories being fitted - stemming from poor advice at the point of sale, but there had been no communication and what had been fitted was not to my liking.
My experience on Wednesday and Thursday has been a step change in helpfullness and has brough back some confidence in EBC.
I am now looking forward to getting my new bike back early next week.

Many thanks to Les and staff, I was in the shop yesterday and they went to great efforts to fix me up with new tyres and tubes, for my elderly bike unlike some big stores, they went the extra mile. You are to be highly recommended many thanks Regards Willie.

Very friendly and helpful staff, did a great job and went above and beyond fixing my bike, for a very reasonable price. Thank you! :)

This is a great shop with a good amount of choice. The main advantage is the staff who really know what they are talking about and are all really into cycling. Excellent place for new bikes, and also servicing and repair.

Great shop, staff very helpful and friendly. A great selection of everything bike and some decent prices too. Cheers EBC 🚴♂️👍

My friends and I were cycling the Coast & Castles route from Aberdeen to Newcastle at the beginning of April when we had trouble (on our first day!) with some epic punctures - the guys at the Aberdeen shop saw our woeful faces on their arrival to work and kindly opened the store a half hour earlier... it was all hands on deck to get us fixed up and ready for the road and even let us use their staff loo. Can't thank them enough for their help.
Cheers guys :D

Years ago I bought a bike from the EBC in Aberdeen and the advice Les gave in sizing me up for a bike (Specialised Rockhopper) was spot on - it was probably the best fun/practical bike that I'd ever had! Since then I've had another bike which unfortunately is not a good fit for me, based on poor advice from another shop. I am now looking to buy another mountain bike and having visited EBC in Aberdeen recently I find that they are still full of enthusiastic and knowledgeable folks and I will undoubtedly buy a new bike from this shop again! :-)

Very pleased with my service from Logan. I was only in for some spares, but i was advised well and politely.Shop was immaculate which is always nice to see.

Shops was great helping me change pedals as didn’t have the right equipment to do so myself. Staff were helpful and shop was stocked well.

Very friendly service.
They do a 'web price match' if you provide proof of the on-line price.
As it's expected, the stock is not as varied as a massive on-line shop, but if you are not in a hurry, you can order almost anything, and then collect at the shop.
F. S.
Served by Alex. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience. Won’t go to another bike shop in Aberdeen.

Fixed my son's bike quickly and efficiently. Great service and will be back again for my bike repairs.

Always spot on, always have what I need and are able to do any job that I require. Also whenever I need advice or suggestions about any of my bikes. Also it is where I hear about local charity rides when I am looking for a challenge.
