Seldom do any reviews but just wanted to do this due to the excellent work done by the folk at Mech Monkey. I'd been recommended to them by someone I'd been chatting to at Garvagh Trails & this is second time I've had work done on my Scott Scale. It's an hour and half journey to get there but well worth it. They are really helpful on phone beforehand, asking the relevant questions and they are honest and up front regarding potential costs etc and are realistic about time scales involved for the work and for ordering parts etc. Despite me being a 'senior biker' I'm treated as anyone else and not left feeling 'stupid 'cos I'm not up to date with latest spec etc. Something else I noticed yesterday when collecting by bike was that the shop section is brighter than previous visits which proves they have noticed comments on other reviews and have acted accordingly ... professional ! Thanks again guys and can't recommend you enough.

I mangled my bike recently at Castlewellan mountain bike track. I initially took the bike to another well known retailer but there repair time was going to be January 2022. I got recommended Mech Monkey. Brought the bike down chatted with one of the staff about what had happened. The staff member told me they could repair it no bother & that the turnaround time would be about 2 weeks which I was more than happy with. 2 days later I get a call from Mecg Monkey saying the bike was ready! Absolutely unreal!

Fixed an old bike that had been stored in my shed for a few years, needed front wheel, new chain and other work done. Fantastic job at a great price. Couldn't recommend these lads highly enough. Many thanks guys, delighted with my new bike.

Hi guys, great shop.... I think. Staff friendly BUT the shop floor WHERE YOU BUY STUFF was largely in darkness. I kid you not. It was that dark I felt I was in a dimly lit cave. Maybe the lights were broken or whatever but I can only go on when I was in the shop. I was in to get an invisiframe kit fitted. But they only fit them to a new bike. And if course. Mine was new but had to wait 6 months until invisiframe actually made a kit 4 my bike so unless your buying an old model.....you ain't getting a kit fitted in Mech monkey. I was also in to buy a helmet, but like I say the shop was largely in darkness. I dont want to be rude to my fellow cycling brothers. BUT get some lights and you should fit kits to all bikes within reason. My bike has only done a couple of hundred mainly road miles. .... lost sales and business there guys.

Know their stuff. Good price and top blokes to boot! Sorted my front and rear suspension and did an immaculate job of invisiframing my new frame and fork. All this was done on a tight turnaround. Really patient with a novice like me and took the time to ensure I was happy with the bike and the work. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys.

These guys are fantastic. I'd an issue with my race bike and was told by the local supposid expert that the only way to fix the issue was to replace the 200 mile old part that I had recently bought with more new parts.!!!! Anyway, having asked about for some advise from a few friends Mech Monkey came highly recommended and after only a few minutes working on the problem they'd the bike sorted and as good as new. What more can I say.!! 👍👍👍
