What a fantastic store this is. From the time you walk in to the tine you leave you feel like a valued customer. Actually even before I made my visit I had to call the store with a query the customer advisor was quick to resolve my issue. When I came into the store the manager greeted me with a smile and assisted me with help from various colleagues - Each member of staff was really helpful. Apologies I can’t remember the name of the young man who helped me in the tent section but her was great. We then had help from Nicola and Holly. Both of them were a great help, nothing was too much of a ask and it was nearing to closing time. When I got home that evening noticed my discount had not been taken off, Phoned in-store they advised me to pop back so they could rectify. Kiera helped us and again like the others nothing was too much and she rectified the errors. It’s a breath of fresh air going to a store where the staff actually do their jobs with a smile no matter what the situations is. It starts from the manager and descends down to all the staff. Although the store is a distance for me I will definitely use this store again. Thanks guys for and excellent service

Plenty of Free parking and Just off the A38 ( Tyburn Island ) with other shops nearby. Car park is nice and big so no issues if parking especially during the week. Nice large store that caters for all sports from hiking, fishing, cycling and horse riding and more. Huge tent selection upstairs gives you an idea of space needed for a tent and gives you an idea if a particular tent is suitable for your needs. Prices are reasonable if you have the £5 a year membership card. Some of he " original prices " Seem far fetched though. Look out for the sale rails where you can pick up bargains / reduced end of line stock. Decent size store allows for social distancing but it can get busy on weekends so this maybe an issue.

I needed to kit my son out and Jo was absolutely brilliant, she listened to our needs and then recommended the appropriate products. We left with boots, trousers, socks, a jumper and water proof jacket. At the till another young lady explained the benefits of the loyalty card so we registered for that too. A really satisfying visit for our family.

We love this shop since we started camping 🏕 there are some great bargains. There is a variety of tents inside the store. The staff are very friendly and helpful when asked a question. Also you get discounts if you become a member instore for a year.

Great store. Colossal choice. Fabulous, staff are friendly. I was well pleased, registered at till with discount card after selecting my items. Intending to purchase top spec goretex boots. However, such a varied choice, allowed me to take my time. Finally selecting Peter Storm PS M Arnside Vent. Good reviews and a great starter shoe trainer. Excellent weight. Compared to boots or other makes. With discount £50 were already discounted, £5 at the till. Top choice. Feel great, as wide fitting, yet don't look it. These are a starter walking shoe waterproof too. Fab splendid. Can start my exercise regime.....

I really enjoy visiting this Go Outdoors as its part of a retail park, so you have Dunelm and The range right next door. It has a lovely range of kids clothing and adults and the shop is massive! They have great deals especially for those who have the Go outdoors membership card as you can save a lot of money. The quality of the clothes is fantastic and they last ages, especially the jackets and coats. They also sell hats and scarves perfect for winter. Upstairs there’s a huge section full of tents and camping gear which is always fun to look at even if you’re not going to buy any.

Saw a coat in a brochure that came through the door and went to nearest store with my daughter. They did not have the coat in my size and would I not be able to get online. I did find an alternative. This was the first time in this particular store. When we got to the check out I was advised that the price on the coat was the club members price and the actual price was £100. To get the discounted price you had to join the club @ £5 my daughter (who also chose a coat) decided she would join, so we got the coats. The staff member was very polite and helpful when giving us all the information. The discounted prices are in large print on the signs and the actual prices are quite small underneath and it is only when you get to the checkout that you are informed of the way the store works. I wonder how many people walk away without their purchase and how many feel obliged to pay the £5 club fee. Having said all of that we are very pleased with our purchases.

Reql good deals atmo. Staff always polite and always wanting to help apart from the manager with blonde hair who always seems to be unpolite interms of customer liaison and always seems to be talking down to her staff. I think personally erdington has a great set up and I always enjoy my visits untill I get morale stolen by the blonde manager bully!

There is a wide range of products available and staff are very helpful and friendly. I wanted a new day pack similar in size to my old one. I found what I wanted. Some of the prices aren't clearly marked on the shelves, but a member of staff quickly helped to provide the prices.

Great store great prices but always check online before a big purchase I just saved £26 of a awning for my tent as it was cheaper online and they do price match. We shop here regularly as we go camping. Staff are always friendly and helpful most of the time

Felt bad for the girl on the till, she was only one at the tills serving yet three blokes who work there stood in the doorway just chatting ignoring the queue and not doing anything at all. Had everything we needed though and we'll stocked and clean. Just feel the staff could be more helpful. The girl at the checkout was lovely just could see she was rushed off her feet and it'd been a long day. A bit of help from the others would have gone a long way.

fantastic deals on tents with price match plus 10%, in the end I paid £292.50 for a £480 tent, also save £65 on a electric hook up. staff were very good at their job, helpful and professional in there knowledge.

Went here to get some walking boots for myself and my daughter, the girl on the walking shoe section was friendly and helpful in getting the sizes we needed and offering alternatives, the only thing I would mention is the card system, if you buy a Go Outdoors card for £5.00 you get quite a significant discount on all items in store so obviously worth it, the prices are displayed both with and without the store discount. Parking is free and there are some great shops within the retail park such as Dunelm, Halfords and The Range

Excellent store with good products and range of stock. Nice tent display on upper floor. All keenly priced too. Yep, and they do honour their 'Price-Match' discount promise (saved me over £30 on one item). Staff have always been very helpful every time I visited. Opening its doors and managing the social distancing as it has done deserves distinct and appreciative recognition. Overall, giga mega service. Wish I could give 7* out of 5*. Highly recommended. UPDATE: Even more commendation. Today (30 June 2020) I received a full refund of the price I paid for a pair of walking boots that eventually could not be delivered. Thank you GoOutdoors for your integrity :-)

As the name implies, there are mainly outdoor gear. It ranges from tents to bikes. I would rate it a five star if the prices where cheaper. Also do note that it is best to have the GO Outdoors discount card, which costs £5 per year.

Ordered a click and collect on Sunday, confirmation email received along with order number, went to collect on Monday evening at 19:30, went to till to pay and collect tent and footprint, nice people, last of this tent sold yesterday and none in store, no email received to this effect, waisted journey, decided to go home and order on line, still had a bit of time browsing in store, old hobbies die hard.

Phoned ahead and purchased a bike from here today and couldn't have been happier with the service from Mark. He'd set the bike up before I'd even arrived and made sure it was all tweaked to my measurements before I left. Nothing was too much trouble, even down to taking the thing apart after he'd just put it together to fit it in my car! Andrew was also super helpful, what a nice couple of guys they deserve a shoutout.

Also one member in particular was very kind , patient and understanding when it came to my husband trying to decide on a bike . Can find great bargains here, if you look for them. I went to another Go Outdoors, as their shoes range can be limited here at times. Generally, helpful and friendly staff. I do like coming here, as it's close and convenient. Good range of merchandise for most items.

A very large store, which holds pretty much everything, when you think camping and more :) I was pleasantly surprised with the amazing customer service. Andy on the shop floor was incredibly helpful with helping me choose between the different brands. They saved me money by explaining cheaper alternatives and introducing me to their discount card, which truly is value for money :) There is plenty of free parking, but was a little busy on the Saturday I had gone. Definitely will be going there if I need any more gear :)

I went to the shop to get things for my son who is going camping. I had no idea about any stuff to buy. However I was given all the help, assistance and information required to make the right decision. A staff was there with me full time to guide and select the right product depending on the requirements and needs of my sons trip The store is located in a shopping outlet with ample parking. Its well designed with lot of space and huge selection. Huge discounts available if you take the yearly membership. Very helpful and positive staff
