Hired two bikes to cycle to Poole for the day. Tony was lovely, very kind and friendly. Very helpful with potential routes with the beach front being closed during the summer months in the day. Very reasonably priced. Bikes were in great condition. Would recommend very highly.

Bournemouth has some great hidden cycling, Bourne Valley Cycle path was great and was the Sea Front. Good bike all setup for me by the rep just great! Thank you for making my holiday in Bournemouth even more enjoyable.

We had so much fun renting the tandem bike for the day. The owner of the store was very informative as he showed us some scenic routes to ride the tandem. The owners were extremely kind and friendly. Good prices when compared to other rental bicycle services in the area. The tandem was also very reliable as we rode for hours without the chain coming off once. We highly recommend.

Great bike, friendly service with very reasonable prices. We were able to extend for extra 24hrs with no hassle and Tony even gave us an extra day for free. Will definitely use again!

Amazing staff and good bikes! I rented my dutch style bike from Thursday till next Wednesday, and when Wednesday came I wanted to keep it for one more day, I called them and it was no problem! They even gave me the extra day for free when I delivered the bike back. I'd recommend Kool Cycle hire a 100% :) A bike lock was also included in the price, so I could lock the bike safely when I was visiting the beach. Just perfect!

Great variety of bikes, that are in excellent condition. We rented 2 mountain ones and went all the way to the Old Harry Rocks (4 hour ride) with no issues at all. But the highlight is the owner, Tony. He is the best! Gave us all the tips for our journey and was so cool and pleasant even when we returned the bikes half an hour late than the shop's working hours! Tony you rock! We'll be back soon!!!

Shout out to Prime Backpackers in Bournemouth for suggesting Kool Cycle hire for bike rentals. Their rental prices were amazing for a 24 hour hire. This gave us the flexibility to take a four of the Jarassic coast without having to worry about returning the bikes before they close for the day! It was even better to find out they had bikes with baskets so we could store our things! The gentleman at the shop gave us great tips on things to see and how to get there.

We were in Bournemouth for 5 days, and were looking for a mode of transportation that would allow us to explore the area. Kool Cycle is conveniently located to downtown and the beach. The very knowledgeable owner set us with three bikes, adjusted seat height according to each user, and gave us a very fair weekly rate. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bournemouth, which lends itself to cycling. The owner kindly extended the rental periodby a few days, for the bike used by our son, who was settling in his university. We highly recommend renting a bike from this store if you are in Bournemouth for a day, or a week.

It's the BEST place in Bournemouth to hire a bike. The bikes are great. It's near from the beach. I went to this shop lots of times in a month. It was always fine. It's cheaper than other shops and there are many bikes. The owner is so kind too. I recommend you if you want to enjoy.

What a fabulous chap -(the owner!) and absolutely fabulous bikes and such good prices. We managed to cycle to Sandbanks, stop for lunch, back to Bournemouth pier, stop for cake, and on to Hengistbury Head, stop for another cup of tea and back to Kool cycle in 4 hours. We stayed in Southbourne for two weeks this autumn again. The area is great for cycling. Tony brought two bikes to the Lodge in Southbourne free of charge. The bikes were in good shape and the seat was extremely comfortable. For us it was very convenient in that we didn’t have to pick up the bicycles at the shop in Bournemouth. The bicycles come with locks. The rent for two weeks was very fair. Tony’s service is great. He is very reliable and delivers the bikes and picks them up exactly on time. It was our second time we rented bikes from Kool Cycle Hire and we will definitely rent bikes from Tony again next autumn.

Excellent service. Bikes in good condition. We had our own cycling helmets but you get this included within the bike hire if you need it. There are plenty of cycling route options too for a visitor. Would recommend 👍

Last Friday we were looking for affordable place to rent bikes for us , our 9 year old son and baby buggy for our youngest. We tried place down the beach and it was very expensive, then we found Kool bikes. We got family discount and paid half what the other places charge. The shop is located very close to the center and the beach . The owner is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely be back .

My partner and I hired a couple of cycles yesterday (28/06/18) and were very pleased with the service. After checking a couple of cycles hire shops in the area I found them to be best value. We rode them for around 16 miles down to Sandbanks to the boat crossing for Brownsea Island, locking them up with the supplied lock. Helmets were also offered when we picked them up. We then returned to them and rode them to Poole Quay for a bit of late lunch and then the same route back along the beach. The shop were very welcoming and enjoyable to hire from ensuring we had their phone number in case we incurred any problems out on our ride. We had no issues with the cycles and if we need to hire bikes again we would use them again.

Will definitely use Kool Cycles again on our next visit to Bournemouth. We hired bikes at the beginning of May and cycled along the promenade towards Christchurch. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day to hire again. This time we headed to Sandbanks. I have always wanted to cycle along the promenade and having Kool Cycles nearby has made that possible. The bikes we rented from Kool Cycles were absolutely fantastic. They were competitively priced, dropped off at our hotel and picked up by Tony...all with a basket and lock each. They really made our weekend. I completely recommend Kool Cycles, their services were second to none.

We opted for this rental because of all the good reviews. We did however have a different experience. We were at the shop when it just opened and asked for some good bikes to cycle to Studland. My son is 6 foot 6 and I’m (his mother) 5 foot 7. We specifically insisted on my sons length but got the short answer that all bikes are the same. Obviously bicycles were too small for both my son and for me. My son’s bicycle was of good quality but mine certainly was not (cracking). Our ride to Studland was a struggle and we’re seasoned cyclists. Edited from 2 to 4 stars because of the very kind follow up from Tony on this. I will for sure next time talk to him first if have any issues with the bicycle he rents me out.

Two of us rented bicycles for a week. The best spent 20 pounds here in Bournemouth. In those 7 days we reached Christchurch to the east and Poole and beyond to old Harry's rocks and Swanage to the west via chain ferry. Thanks to cool Tony and good bikes there was no any problem.

Cheaper than the other bike hire, all you really need is a working bike to explore right? if it break on you he will just replace it. If it's not a busy period he may be able to hire you the bike at a small fixed price for longer than it says on the website (sorry but it should encourage budgeting people like me to visit). Could not fault them. Cheerful and helpful, laid back in a calm way. Sorted us out in no time with the bicycle to suit each of us, saddles adjusted and tested for height, helmets and locks included. £30 for 4hrs. Only £2/bike extra for all day up to 5pm. Easy drop off after.
