Fantastic service from Joe and the team today, we have been using Primera for a number of years and have always had faultless service. Their product knowledge and helpfulness is unlike any bike shop I've been to before, nothing is too much bother and there always willing to go the extra mile !

I bought a Specialized hybrid bike from Primera on Wednesday. The advice I received from a chap by the name of Mark was fantastic. I rang them on Friday to say that I would be down on Saturday to pick the bike up. We drove 254 miles from St. Helens to Bournemouth on Saturday morning and the service received from Mark and all of the guys at Primera was exceptional. My bike was set up on a jig so that my personal measurements could be taken and personal adjustments made so that the bike fitted me. We left the shop and spent a couple of hours on Bournemouth Beach in the sun. Got back to the shop and my bike was good to go. The team at Primera even charged up the cycle computer that I bought before fitting it for me. A really warm and very friendly bunch of lads who seem to take great pride in service. I would recommend Primera without a single reservation.

All in all Primera Sports provide excellent services to all levels of cyclists and all bike types. A delayed review but well deserved – First off, a Big Thank You to Darren, he initially provided me with an insight into the existence of Gravel Cycling and subsequently helped me decide on purchasing such a great bike (Orro Terra C). This bike has since provided me with a continued enthusiasm for cycling, it suits me perfectly for off-road adventures whilst also having very good road capabilities. Masses of fun in the New Forest and over The Purbecks. I was not rushed, there was no pressure selling at all and everything was thankfully explained to me. Coming from a MTB, I didn’t even know how the gears worked on these bikes (eek). I have visited the shop many times recently and staff are always welcoming and extremely helpful, maintenance costs are reasonable and my experience with the workshop is also very good, they keep in touch directly with their experienced views, which provides me the first-hand reassurance when choosing replacement components on any of our family bikes.. They have also been very swift with a couple of same day fixes, of which I’m extremely grateful for.

Always get great service and advice from Primera. Best selection of bikes, especially road bikes in the Bournemouth store. They have another shop in Poole that tends to focus on mountain bikes. They have top end bikes and entry level or pick one of the nice #Specialized frames and get a custom build! They don’t have a car park due to location, so you will need to park in a side street.

I have only had my bike since September last year 2020 , but I took it back for my free service and pointed out a few issues about the seat and the gears. When I returned they had given me a new seat which was of higher spec and as a gwg, they also sorted out my gears too. Excellent service 👏

Went in to have a look for a bike, and they certainly delivered. There is a large range of bikes, and stock, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A deal was struck so I ended up buying a bike. They prepped it ready in just over half an hour, and helped put it in my car. If interested in biking then definitely visit this place.

Picked up a new a Specialized Levo 2 months ago and had the first service today. Excellent treatment by a lovely bunch of people. Very busy shop but they find time for everyone. It is my first experience of electric bikes and after visiting a few other shops Mark who served me certainly is an expert on the subject and gave me confidence in making the purchase. First class customer service from Joe, bike build on the day of pick up (having travelled all the way from Glasgow) and bike fitting by the very knowledgable John, this was a seamless and customer focused experience. So good I came back three weeks later to buy another bike for my wife. Again, another round trip from Glasgow to pick up and the service we received was identical to first time around - superb. Exceptional experience every visit, this time I needed a new bottom bracket bearing fitted, no fuss just a great job. Bikes back on the road and I also came away with a new pair of shorts, it’s difficult not to buy anything as they have such a comprehensive range in stock. It’s nice to go somewhere and get a warm welcome, the offer of a coffee and great advice without being under pressure to buy something. A very welcoming business who work endlessly to support charities, riders and community activities without a second thought. I’ve always had amazing service from the team whenever I entered the shop. Professional staff and no pressure selling, their product knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to help has led me to want to support my local bike shop. It being a local shop will mean from time to time their isn’t the stock, but when I’ve ordered I’ve been kept updated. On the bikes I’ve bought directly from them over the years, I’ve been measured before, fitted and they have all received their free service. To be honest I’m able to maintained 90% of my bikes. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, HUGE SELECTION OF BIKES AND AMAZINGLY KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF!! Having been looking for a bike for sometime, and needing some advice, I went into Primera not knowing what to expect. I was surprised with the number of bikes they had on offer and was greeted by a really upbeat and friendly sales guy. He spent ages with me, and finally I decided on the perfect bike. Not only had it been already discounted, but I was able to negotiate more money off with the Boss directly. They had the bike immediately put into the workshop, and with 15 mins I was ready to leave. Overall I was so pleased with buying experience and new bike, and would recommend anyone to go there.

When acquiring bikes in the past I have always traveled to London as I have always believed that is where you received the best customer service, however I decided to try Primera as they came highly recommended among others in my cycle club. I'm glad I listened. Great selection of everything cycling, John their bike fitter sized me up and recommend the best bikes to suit my needs and geometry. I was then taken through the options in depth by one of the sales men including wheel upgrades and power meter options, all of which I was able to view in the shop and not on a computer screen or catalog. 2 days later my bike of choice (Cannondale Synapse) was ready for collection and for the final fitting, I opted for paying the extra for their Retul fitting in which was very informative and really helped with previous injuries. I have had my bike for just over a week now and am just blown away with my experience and will no longer be wasting my time with the hour plus journey to visit a sub-standard store in comparison, thank you Primera for restoring my faith in shopping local, well for a bicycle anyway. Excellent Service. I was looking for the Specialized Langster 2015 Track, practically all over the UK they had. I then had some issues with payment and tools to set my bike but Mark supported me with this, did his best to give me the options of how I can do this. I was concerned about the tracking of my bike and Clive, assured me and put me at ease with this. My only issue was that Parcel force delivery took allot longer than expected to London. Obviously nothing with Primera. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

A truly fully supportive bike shop. I was unfortunate to have my custom bikes stolen over the Christmas period. My insurance company were insistent that they sourced the bikes through their supplier. First met Primera when I was riding a cancer charity ride, my tyre ripped and couldn’t continue, a marshal called the organiser and after a short time the Primera van pulled up and fitted a new tyre. Very friendly people who give up lots of time to support others, since that day I buy all my bike bits from them and just picked up my new hybrid. Even took my photo and made me famous🤩. I bought my Cannondale SL 1 Trail in February 2013. I am delighted with it, and Primera Bournemouth have looked after it ever since. The same great service as I am used to but something extraordinary this time. I was on a very tight timescale due to a cycle trip abroad and wanted it for that. The new frame needed to be with me today, 11th. It arrived yesterday at the shop in Bournemouth to be built! I said, 'we'll miss the post?' Joe said, 'no problem I will drive it to you!!' I live in North Herts! Joe left at 03:00 this morning! I have NEVER received such an amazing Customer Service in any shape or form! AMAZING! All arrived safely! so a MAHOUSIVE Thank you to Joe, Steve for building it and the Team for taking my never-ending calls, a brilliant Team and shop! Bill, you should be very proud! February 2019 I have been using Primera Sports for well over 15 years and have had dealings with Alex, then Lewis and now Joe ... I have probably left a review in the past as well. The service has always been top notch! However, I must add a new review as Joe has painstakingly sorted an ongoing issue I have had with both a component and frame supplier. It has been a nightmare from suppliers changing UK distributors to sending faulty goods! I genuinely believe the ‘average’ person would have given up but not Joe! For the past 2 seasons I have been working closely with Jack Hebron at Primera Sports as I have become more involved with competitive duathlon and triathlon events. Primera have assisted me with the purchase of two bikes (an aero road bike and a time trial bike) both using the Retul method of fitting. This method provides the Fitter (in my case Jack) and the Rider with instant feedback relating to position, pedal action, saddle height, etc. My comfort on both bikes has been superb (which is quite an achievement considering the ride positions are relatively aggressive). Over the past 18 months, I have been able to increase my time training on both bikes (on the turbo and on the road), which in turn has improved my fitness and significantly reduced my race times. If you have the opportunity of dropping in to Primera for an informal conversation about bikes (whether you are a weekend wheeler or a GB age group hopeful) I would highly recommend working with Jack and his colleagues; it's a decision you will not regret!

I had a Retul fitting booked in with Jack Hebron. He was very informative and understood my situation with a huge injury I suffered last year from being struck by a car and broke my pelvis. He tailored the fitting to my exact requirement and afterwards I felt a lot better on the bike. Much smoother pedalling stroke and feel more efficient. The next day was the real test as it was my 1st 100+ mile ride since the accident and have to say it did the trick. 117 miles done with some very steep hills, and I know my knees wouldn't have taken that on the set up I had which suited before the accident. Great work and incredibly knowledgeable, with a passion for getting everything perfect. Highly recommended and have already sung his praises in my cycling group, of which a few more will be booking in fittings soon. Great work Jack

Got my Specalized Diverge gravel bike from Primera in December, I waited to give a review to see what the after service was like. Darren sold me the bike after a chat on what I wanted from the bike and for that I definitely give him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ the bike was ready and waiting on the agreed date fantastic service. The break pads had worn very fast, when I went to the shop to have them changed they were more than happy to sort it as they felt they should had lasted longer very grateful for this. Whenever I go in Primera the staff are always extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you, nothing is ever a problem. We felt the service was that good my wife got a Cannondale from Primera she also is very happy. Thanks to Darren and the team for the fantastic service.
