BW Cycles is a fantastic outfit. I like to do my own basic mechanics on my family's 9 bikes. Occasionally, there's something technical like a wheel build or some full suspension jiggery pokery that I take to the BW workshop. I just had the pivot bearings replaced on my Santa Cruz 5010 and a couple of other bits and bobs. The bike feels like a brand new one! I'm delighted with the result and the service I received. Highly recommended.

Class leading bikes tailored to fit male/female geometries in a friendly, informed environment. When you buy from BW they've got you covered for servicing and (crucially at present) parts too. I used to spend a fortune buying cheaper many times over. Then went to BW and bought quality once. Highly recommended.

Having decided to enter a half ironman next year I booked an appointment to have a chat with Andy to look at bike options as I am not a cyclist. I was blown away with just how honest, upfront and helpful he was in terms of what bike I actually needed after he did a video analysis with me and showed me all the various different angles that were informing his suggestions etc. There were undoubtedly more expensive bikes that he could have tried to talk me into getting but it was clear that wasn't his agenda at all! I was so impressed and have left feeling really confident that I've got the right bike for me and my needs. I would wholeheartedly suggest for anybody new to road cycling or triathlons to go and see these guys!

Bought my new road bike from here last week and was really pleased with the service. I had no past experience with the shop and was essentially directed there by Pinarello's website. Oli was really helpful on a variety of things, advising on bike fit and a few issues I had with my other bike. I took my old bike in and they adjusted it to get it as close my new one as possible. Communication was very good from start to finish and I look forward to returning to have the bike serviced.

I ordered a turbo trainer to set up my bike for the winter, the BW crew sourced the turbo, fitted the through axle and set it all up. They also adjusted my front and rear derailleurs, now working so smoothly. All this care was taken with my inexpensive online lockdown bike whilst surrounded with bikes costing thousands. These guys are real enthusiasts and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Shopped here several times and always positive experience, but one particular one stands out: I thought I had a bottom bracket problem ( which is a big bearing that the pedals go through and can be a bit tricky to sort out) and called up to make an appointment to get it replaced. The person on the phone then talked me through the other things it could be and how to check and fix them. They were right. And it took me a few minutes to tighten up the loose chainring bolt responsible. So, they took time out of their day to help a random caller in a way that cost them a service job… except of course it didn’t because I wouldn’t shop anywhere else now! These are good people.

I've bought 3 bikes from BW and have my 4th on order - that probably says it all! Oli is brilliant and only interested in a First Class service. I've recommended BW to lots of people and will continue to do so. It's the only place I'll use for my bike purchases and services.

I was really excited by this shop, all the good reviews and in my area (2min walk). Sadly my own experience was really poor, a young monotone boy was really unhelpful, after I bought the wrong chain, which was of course my mistake. He didn't even offer me the right chain, or have any solutions as to the new unused chain I'd purchased, box was open but I'm sure they could have found a use for it in the workshop and offered to buy back the chain for half the value, or just put a small discount on the new chain I would have bought, OR just been helpful & somewhat sympathetic would have sufficed. I've moved to the area and am an avid mountain biker and commute to work on a road bike. I was looking forward to thinking I'd found my new local bike store - sadly I will have to keep looking. Judging by other reviews I'm sure they have plenty of brilliant staff so hopefully I'm alone in my experience - perhaps I will get a bike fit there. A side note is that the bike shop premium on the components is larger than competitors, a good indicator is to ask how much it costs to convert your wheels to tubeless they quoted £20-25 per wheel, Bike UK is £15 , Bike Workshop £10-15 depending on your set up, the chains were also about much steeper in price SRAM 9 speed chain was £40... Which speaks for itself. I've edited the stars from 1 to 3 considering how brief my experience was, 1 star hardly felt fair.

A brilliant bike shop that offers so much more than bike sales and service. In the last few months I've used BW for servicing, purchase of parts and recently purchased a new Giant FS MTB. They are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and always ensure you end up with something that meets your specific needs. If you're looking to get more from your cycling they offer bike fits and coaching courses. Can't recommend them highly enough.

First time using BW cycling today, it wont be the last. I was in for a bike fit. Andy took the time to understand why I wanted a fit and the goals of the bike setup. I explained about my desire (wait......yep......i really do want to :-/ ... i think ) to complete LEJOG next year and around issues with knee pain when cycling. Although I explained that I am currently undergoing physio, he still had me performing exercises and stretches so that he can assess things for himself. Bike setup was almost ok, couple of minor adjustments with the saddle but my cleats and shoes were miles out. All in all, almost 2 hours and a new pair of shoes later, I am genuinely excited to get back out on the bike for the first time in ages. Thanks a bunch.... great service.

BW deliver! Quietly and without fanfare but very efficiently. I needed a lightweight, robust bike to use for audax's and general club cycling, they suggested an Enigma. I chose an Etape and it is perfect, fits me beautifully and every ride is a pleasure. It was only three weeks from order to delivery, after sale customer care is excellent too. I have no hesitation in recommending BW to all.

We gave my 18 year old son a bike fit for his birthday. It was so good that my husband also had one. As we were going to NZ on a tandem tour my husband and I then had one for our tandem. Previously I had back problems after and hour or so and my husband also suffered with hip issues. We did 2500km without these problems (shame about the Kiwi drivers) - amazing! Our daughter is an age group triathlete and we bought a new bike for her from BW as well which was supported by bike fit and lots of advice. You cannot get that on the intenret!!

Bike Fit To help me decide which frame size I was going to buy and maybe see if I could get more comfy on the bike I went to BW Cycling for a bike fit. I was an average road racer and time trialist twenty years ago, but now only ride to top up on cardio for my running and to keep fit through periods of injury on my badly aging road bike. The bike fit blew me away. My position was really off and Oli kindly pointed out where my problems were coming from. I learnt loads and was very impressed with the current thinking about position on the bike for comfort. As I was buying online from Canyon, there was never any pressure to buy a bike from BW. Any questions I had were answered and explained very thoroughly, even after the bike fit when I wanted clarification about some points I’d thought of once I was home. To help with comfort on the bike as I sit a lot at work, I was prescribed some exercises that would help. After a few days I could feel a big improvement from the stretching. So now on my new bike I can feel my back is much more comfortable and my arms/shoulders/hands just seem to be in exactly the right position falling naturally in front without stretching for the bars as I was doing before without realising. Overall a massive improvement in comfort on the bike. 10/10 for the bike fit. Definitely recommended.

They want to help me enjoy the best possible cycling. It's a long term relationship - personalised to my needs - You can't ask for more. BW are a dilight and honest team to deal with. Fantastic knowledge. You get good value for money with great advice and service. The technical advice is so good you might buy a bike as a bi product of the help you get rather than feel you are being sold a product that might turn out to be unsuitable and not fit for purpose. No pressure selling etc etc. If you want a decent bit of kit that is right for you, get to BW.

I'm new to cycling BEFORE BIKE FIT: Two months of effort, numb toes and a sore bottom. Worried I'd bought the wrong bike, heard BW were quite handy, worried I'd be invited to buy more stuff. AFTER BIKE FIT: Comfortable in the saddle, toes no longer numb, bike feels just right, and to top it off, 2m20secs off my PB! (no new purchases) Worth every penny. The reviews don't lie. Bought a Scott road bike from these folks last year and it was a really positive experience. They gave me an initial fit to check the frame size was right for me, then when my new bike was ready for collection they gave me the full bike fit, which resulted in a great riding position. They changed the stem to better fit my position rather than try to make it work with the stock stem. Finally I was able to finance the purchase over 12 months, which was quick and easy to do. All in all a friendly, helpful experience which gives me the confidence that my bike is right, and a year on it is still riding beautifully. Thank you!

A "shop you can trust" experience.
