Fantastic people! The other day I bought some tyres and inner tubes, but apparently they weren't the right combination so the next morning, before sending the order, a staff member called just to make sure it was what I wanted/needed! Yesterday, ordered some handlebars and then I carried on working on the bike, removing the cranks. As I was changing them I thought the whole bottom bracket could do with changing so I called them to see if they could add them in for next day delivery, they did AND didn't charge extra for the shipping. Great people all around and definitely recommend them, specially if like me you're an hour away from the nearest BMX shop.

Hard to fault these guys in ANY way! They are regular traders at regional and National BMX events around the country(as well as their shop). Gary and Maria are so nice to talk, very knowledgeable, plus they always bring plenty of decent stock. Have spoken to their shop staff including Kieran and have always been treated very well by them also. Last weekend I bought a set of TroyLee gloves, then forgot to take them with me! I called the shop the next day and they had found them and kept them for me, then offered to post them to me for free! What an awesome business.

Ordered a complete bespoke wheel set from Crucial for my son's racing BMX. Crucial were very helpful and gave sound advise on the most suitable parts for the build. To say my son is happy with the wheels would be an understatement, they looked even better than expected and haven't failed to impress when it comes to performance. Communication with the guys at crucial was top notch throughout and the wheels were delivered exactly when they promised. They even offer a free first wheel service for once the spokes have 'bedded in'. Thanks Crucial for such an impressive service, we will be using you again!

Great shop, knowledgeable staff. However I have found certain staff to treat me less than knowledgeable and I'm assuming it's because I'm a female bmxer. I did challenge the comment made about me "at least your giving it a go, Im sure the lads you go out with are patient". It'd be nice if people assumed I knew what I was talking about and I was a decent rider, rather than the other way around! But maybe my expectations are just too high! Have shopped online ever since that.

Crucial is an important place, like the ever decreasing number of rider owned BMX shops. BMX looks after its own and is fiercely independent, like skating, and BMXers like to support shops who have people like them behind the counter. Building up a relationship with a shop is super important because BMX has to be done right to keep the industry alive and the riders too (you don’t want some second rate, mis-sold part failing on you out of the gate or 5ft out of a 1/4 pipe). I had a quick question about tubolito tubes after seeing a video in which Olympic Goddess Beth Shriever raved about the ones Crucial sent her. The quick email chat I had with Mike at Crucial turned into a bigger conversation about where I raced (Thailand) and the kids race team I put together. I put in my order for the tubes and some other bits and mentioned that I was struggling to learn 360s on my street bike. More chat followed, some forwarded video links of the Crucial team riding street around Bristol and some motivational words of wisdom! I just landed my first 360 and then hopped on a flight in the UK for the summer and got my delivery from Crucial. I found that Mike had slung a few Ts in the box for my son and I along with stickers so rad I am not sure where to use ‘em! A simple gesture of a simple T with a simple Crucial logo but one that will be worn at the trails and tracks 9000 miles away Asia as a reminder that BMX makes a big world feel small and it’s shops like this that are responsible for that.

AMAZING.......I have always brought bits and bobs from Crucial, however after picking up my sons new build I am now a dedicated customer. There is a parts shortage everywhere at the moment but Crucial are well stocked with the all the best brands. They supplied all the parts and built my sons new full carbon Prophecy and they did it in record time (over xmas period aswell :)), which included a full carbon wheel build. Amazing service off Mike Suttle he has been absolutely awesome and helped me and offered me guidance on what parts I needed and what would be the best on this build. Every time we have dropped in they have been so welcoming and helped with little problems with other bikes. The 2 hour drive is nothing when you get such amazing service and products.

Staff were very lovely here, all of them gave really good advice when choosing my next bike. They were even willing to build the bike so that I could see it in person before dropping any cash. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is that I feel the space in the shop could be used more efficiently to hold more bikes for display. All in all, a very minor thing, and literally the only complaint I could possibly have! Love this place and will definitely return for aftermarket parts!

Called in here first thing Saturday morning. Needed a new tyre and grips for my sons BMX. Served by a young lad with BIG hair (didn't get his name) but really nice and helpful. Proper old skool custom service, talked about different tyres no hard sell on one brand. Then just general chit chat about bikes etc and what their bike shop has to offer. Just really refreshing when I've been served in virtual silence in other shops. Excellent work!

I haven't ordered yet, but i give them 5 stars for their outstanding, friendly, informative support without beating around the bush. They even special order out of stock parts directly from the US in a few days or weeks instead of having to wait for months and months for it to be in stock again. Very nice.

They don't just do BMX's here! I have had a couple of road bike services here and they're excellent. Really good value, and they definitely know their stuff. They're prompt and honest too, never felt like I was being advised things that weren't needed. In fact, they gave great advice on how much longer various worn out parts would last! And at the risk of sounding over the top, they also were very prompt: when other bike shops said "We can book you a service in 3 weeks time" these nice folks at Crucial fixed my bike almost straight away.

Never bin to shop myself due to living 100 miles away but only place i use have had custom little micro race bike custom chase mini race bike carbon TLD d4 helmet & a pro start single man portable start gate and nothing is ever to much. We are a family of 4, mad about bikes and scooters so lucky to have this speciality bike shop locally. Crucial is a friendly family run business, supports many BMX families with lots of knowledge. You can shop in Bristol, online and they also have a stall at many BMX events. If you can’t find what you look for, they can normally source it for you. Whenever my friends ask me for a bike advice, I would just recommend them to visit the shop.

I haven't been on a bike, let alone a BMX since the late 90's-early 00's, and for the last month or so I've been finding myself frequenting websites and YouTube trying to catch up. Everything has changed. The riding styles, the geometry, the weight of the bike, the materials, the brands and the parts. Its been a tough process relearning everything and making the big leap of convincing the girlfriend and myself into getting back on a 20" bike. After ringing around a few places and adding a few bikes I liked to shopping carts on every website, I still wasn't 100% sure if I was even going to go through with it in the end. I made my decision after speaking to Mike at Crucial BMX Shop over a period of 2 days (sorry for the long calls). I bought a Subrosa Letum on the second day and immediately received a phone call from Mike as he recognised my name just to thank me for the purchase, telling me he'd got it immediately shipped out to arrive tomorrow and to enjoy my new ride. 5 star customer service. Well, its tomorrow now and I've just spent the afternoon fitting it, tightening things up and having a little play on it. It made my day, I couldn't be happier. Young me would be so jealous.

I ordered my Verde Prism 2012 and i got it and it was OK for a bit, but then it started having problems like un-lubricated bolts or threads so i spent a while taking the crank apart and lubricating everything, then my stem started wobbling so i took that off and i found that the thing inside the forks was bent and half way down the tube so i spent another long time trying to fix the bend and put it back together without the bend coming back, this is only a temporary fix too, so ill have to spend alot of money on stem and headset so it all fits nicely.
