This place is proof of what we should all already know: nothing is greater than a real bike shop run by an actual human cyclist. Rob went the extra mile to find me the tyre I needed, and get it to me when I needed it. I'll be coming back next time I need anything, and recommending Really Useful Bikes in the meantime.

After much searching I found Really Useful Bikes had the best price for the item I wanted, so bought it. Then later that evening it was pointed out to me that I already had said item! At ten o'clock that evening I emailed them to cancel my order. Within 30mins Bob replied and agreed. I am extremely grateful for this excellent level of service.

After some back and forth regarding an aftermarket seat belt for my cargo bike, Rob sent me a thoughtful email with a quote but also some links to a few other options that I could get for a lot cheaper and might serve my needs better. He clearly didn't have to do that and it shows that he cares more about how best to serve his customers rather than how best to sell to them. I'll be coming back here whenever I need something for my bike in the future.

Rob kindly built & fitted a new rear wheel with a new 'posh' hub for my Gazelle ebike. What a difference this has made! I was at the point of giving up on my bike and was ready to hunt around for a new bike with a more powerful motor, when Rob suggested a new hub. The upgrade from my troublesome 8-speed hub to the silky-smooth 11-speed Alfine works beautifully and is amazing. My Gazelle has a complete new lease of life and is so much more enjoyable to ride. It runs like a steam train! Just the encouragement I needed to help me to keep exercising during lockdown. Thank you Really Useful Bikes for a brilliant service and quality workmanship.

I contacted Rob about a bike brand that he distributes and he happily ordered one in for me to have a ride. Unfortunately it was wrong for me posture-wise; so Rob gave me a few different bikes to try before I found one I loved, which happened to be his! He refurbished it, serviced it and sold it to me, offering the same one year free servicing package he provides with full price bikes. Rob has a passion for getting people out of their cars and cycling, but honestly he could probably go on stage as a comedian, be a doctor or the next prime minister. He is very personable, friendly and basically bloody decent. If you are looking for a bike, go and chat to him.

Rob at Really Useful Bikes helped me get my dutch bike commuter back on the road after it had been diagnosed with a crack fork. After giving him a ring and setting a date I dropped by and he installed a new fork and also helped tension my chain in a morning. Rob is a fantastic guy who really knows his stuff when it comes to bikes, especially when it comes to practical kind of bike. He helped me pick out a Dutch town bike that is almost maintenance free - perfect for someone like me who just wants a bike, carry my shopping, keep me clean, and will go with no fuss! Visiting is always a pleasure with lots of special bikes to look at and ride, even if that's not why you turned up! Just make sure to call first to make sure he's in.

Bought an ex demo urban arrow. Rob was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly all the way through the purchase. Highly recommend. Aftercare brilliant so far too.

Needed a replacement rack urgently for work. Tried through 3 larger retailers who had absolutely disgusting customer service and eventually stumbled across ReallyUsefulBikes. Explained my situation to Rob, got an immediate reply and he got the rack out to me ASAP. Fantastic customer service, as if i'd walked into the shop myself! Will definitely be coming back.
