I've visited Trek shop to check my bike with service level 1. Stuff was very friendly and everything has been done really quick (24 hours later I could pick up my bike). The price is alright and can't complain about it.
Today I visited shop once again to add some pressure to my road bike tires and stuff was totally fine with it. If you would like to use the floor pump, you can use it with no charge. Also you have some simple tools there to use.

The guy in the workshop spent quality time checking the bike with me and explaining what and why something needed to be replaced. More importantly, advised what did not need to be change. Recently purchased a bike here. Dealt with Joe who was great. Very knowledgeable and gave good advice.
Rear tubeless tyre needed resetting 72hours later and no questions asked and refitted. Dealt with a few other members of staff during 2/3visits to store and all were very helpful and friendly.

Took my bike in for a service and saw Bal, the bike servicing guru, who I can only describe as a bike genius. He was incredibly thorough and spent a while talking me through what needed replacing and what I could get away with leaving as is. He wasn't pushy at all and took the time to talk me through all of my options, from having a minimal service to make the bike safe, to buying a swish new bike. Exactly what I needed. Thanks a million. Would definitely recommend and has certainly put Trek on my radar for next new bike.

Excellent service when helping sort out an issue with lateral play in the shock mount on my Whyte mountain bike (despite buying it from elsewhere).
They were professional throughout and explained clearly what they were doing to troubleshoot the issue. After trying new mounting Hardwear and a new shock the frame was warrantied through ATB which they sorted for me.
I'd made plans to go biking that weekend so they offered a demo to borrow with the cost offset against assembly onto the new frame.
Really excellent service and would recommend to all! Also did a top job re-cabling my roadie 👍

The service that I received recently was excellent. I went in to the store at opening time as I'd had a puncture on the way to work. The member of service staff who attended to me was extremely helpful, courteous and very professional. The bike needed a new tyre as well as an inner tube as the damage was severe. It was ready by lunchtime and I received a text and email to let me know. When I picked the bike up, I noticed that several things unrelated to the tyre change had been checked and tweaked. Almost like a mini-service. Excellent.

I asked for a second opinion on a bike problem from the Trek shop although I hadn't bought my bike there. Where to start... the guys here have been so helpful to me today. To begin they lent me a few tools to see if they would fit my bike so I didn’t buy the wrong ones (trusting me not to run off with them) Then whilst I quickly went home to do the test to see which one fitted, they had found this specific tool that I needed online as they were out of stock pretty much everywhere and I would have had to wait a month for one otherwise! I used their computer to order it which was super helpful. I had previously bought an inner tube from here determined to fit it myself but not knowing a thing about bikes, Josh offered to fit it for me and showed me the ropes! Over the past few months I've bought a couple of items here including a helmet & a new wheel (which they fitted) and have been happy with the service. Then last week my friend's front disc brake started making a strange noise. I recently took my bike into trek for a service. The team were fantastic and able to get my bike back to me the next day. Not only did they service my bike, they also replaced an old and broken bottle holder and tidied up all my cables etc. So my bike was looking beautiful afterwards. Got a puncture whilst in town and rang to see if they could fix it so I didn't have to walk my bike 2miles home and spend 20 minutes clumsily changing my inner tube. They had actually shut the shop the day before for their current refit but said to bring it in anyway and they'd look.
Despite all staff working on the refit, they kindly fixed the puncture. But an IT issue meant the card reader wouldn't work. I offered cash but they couldn't take it. I offered to come back to pay, but the refit meant they wouldn't be able to take payment later
So they just said it was on the house. I asked if they had a charity I could donate to, but the said to put it towards a cause of my choice.
I tried to find an email address to say thanks and let senior management know, but doesn't seem to be one so I just wanted to say thanks again here and let others know how friendly and helpful the staff were.
I have been going to Bike UK at this site for over 20 years and always got great service. I asked if the same staff have stayed on and it seems that they have, which is great news for people using the store.
I have seen some comments about them no longer doing the free service on bikes that Bike UK offered. Of course I would love those to have contnued on my bikes but this is a different business, not a rebranding of the old one, so I am simply grateful that the people and good customer service have been retained.
Thanks to Bike for all the help over the years and thanks to the people at Trek for repairing my puncture and waiving the cost - an impressive first experience at the new store that ensures I will continue to recommend it to friends.
I will be splitting the money you saved me, plus an extra £5, between a Bristol homeless charity and an inclusive cycling charity, so your kind act will benefit someone more in need than I am.

They aren't just looking to sell you products there and then. This is why I will return again and again and pass about five other bike shops in the city in order to get here.

Popped in to see if I could get help with removing a Maxle Stealth Thru Axle that I’d managed to completely strip after over tightening. I expected that I’d need to book the bike in for another day, but the guys that work in the Bristol shop we’re more than happy to help.
Mike the mechanic offered to help me before his next booking arrived, after hours of struggling to remove it myself and watching countless YouTube videos, Mike managed to remove it in a matter of minutes. That’s how the pros do it!
He then proceeded to try and find me a replacement part, ringing multiple local stores to see if they had stock.
All the guys in the shop were friendly and helpful, Mike was great craic throughout and has really helped me out as I thought I’d well and truly ruined my bike.
Perfect example of how to deal with and interact with customers! I’ll definitely be using the Bristol branch as my go to shop.

Great independent bike shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff, a huge range of bikes, products and clothing, and situated in an ideal area for being able to test ride bikes on quiet roads with a bit of climbing and descending to really get a feel for the bike. I've bought two bikes and loads of kit/accessories from here, the staff are always such a pleasure to chat to, they're clearly passionate about bikes and they know their stuff. I have been a customer of bike UK for a few years now and decided it is time to write a review. Initially very impressed however my recent experiences have been poor. The store offers a price match service, and a while back was advised by the staff they would rather I price match in store than buy elsewhere.
Recently, I have asked to buy price matched products and been told that I'm "killing the bike industry" in a somewhat confrontational manner. Now, first off, I wouldn't feel the need to price match if not advised to by the store, and, if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive in the first place and 60% cheaper online. Basically, I feel I'm being asked to be mugged off on a huge mark-up.
Meanwhile, I popped into Evans the other day and It was great, they sourced the components I needed for a repair, didn't pressure me for labour, (I do my own), and looked up cheaper products online for price match without me asking. Bike UK, at the very least, needs to have a consistent store policy as being confronted by staff for price matching was not a good experience.
I used to love the store when I had a good relationship with them and felt they were helping me out, now it depends on who serves me, (and I know less of the staff who know I bought I bike there, which probably made them more friendly).
I hope bike UK sorts this out, otherwise it's a great store with knowledgeable staff, and most of the team are super helpful. So, I still give 3 stars, will continue to use the store (it is my local, but possibly more of my money will go elsewhere), and review again in the future.

I received a brilliant level of customer care and expert, honest advice. All staff I met were great, especially Stewart, who spent a great deal of time advising me with my hopeless bike. I would recommend this place to anybody.

I can't speak highly enough of the team at what used to be Bike UK. I love the bike I bought through them, it has served me well as a starter bike, and I'm now ready to upgrade. Unfortunately Trek have taken over the shop and cancelled the free annual service that I was entitled to. This is very disappointing, especially given that no comms has been sent out by Trek to this effect. The team have always looked after my bike well, but given this cancellation, coupled with my partner's Trek bike constantly breaking and having faulty parts, I don't expect to continue using the service centre (cost & proximity), or buying my next bike through them (gone off Trek!). I will probably use them for parts etc due to the nice discount they give UoB staff, unless Trek have cancelled that too.

I bought a new remedy which is my first proper full sus bike and had a couple of issues with the bike/my riding style.
Initially I was worried about taking it back to the shop but the team at TREK bristol put me at ease and worked tirelessly to resolve the issues i was having as well as making sure i always had an available option if we couldn't fix the issue.
Specific mentions for Mike and Ash for options but especially to Al and Stu who really went the extra mile to help me with the bike showing me what they were doing, explaining why and helping me understand how my riding style could be adapted so the 1x12 drivetrain would be optimised even coming out for a ride to see what was happening, on top of that i was given options on ways to adapt the bike so it would suit me a bit better as well.
I really wasn't prepared for the amount of care and effort i received from the team. The customer service here is second to none, the guys are freindly, helpful, knowledgeable, genuinely enthusistic about the industry and the kit and patient which is why i am a very happy customer and would recommend them to anyone, you will be looked after here.

V friendly staff and technician gave great advice for me to fit a headset bearing and uninstall the old one. After fitting the bearing I found out there had been a problem with the pricing of the bearing which was much more expensive (twice as much) than other suppliers. Most helpful bike shop in bristol!
Brought in a bike needing a replacement fork and and wheel. After explaining that I was a student they managed to quote me a price under my budget by finding a second hand fork which cost significantly less than a new one would cost.
Unlike other places that wouldn't budge on price, they went out of their way to find a cheaper way to fix my bike.
All staff are super friendly and up for a chat.

A while ago I used these guys for a tyre replacement and they were quick, reasonably priced and lovely, non-patronising people. Last night my pedal froze up and came off - but I had some spares so I took them in this morning with the bike, fully expecting to be charged for labour and have a long waiting time. Two staff asked me if I needed any help and were friendly and approachable, and the mechanic who ended up helping me spent a little while putting the spare on and even offered to swap the other pedal for me so they matched. He even took some time to look at the broken pedal and told me it wasn't worth paying to have it repaired. All without paying a penny and dealing with a busy shop full of customers. These guys really took time to help me and I appreciate it. Legends!

Needed new pedals as I couldn't use my new cycling shoes (bought elsewhere years ago, but kept in box) with old-fashioned clips and straps. The assistant took the time to show me the clipless options, and pointed out the ones I might find easier to use as a first-time clipless user.
I chose a set of pedals, and had a look round the shop while the assistant and his colleagues fitted my pedals and cleats. I was also given advice on riding with clipless pedals, and on how to adjust the tension when I have gained a bit more confidence with them.
I'm getting back into cycling after a long lay-off. It's great to see that independent bike shops still give a good standard of service.

I had a Bikefit with Ben on Friday and it was beyond even my wildest expectations. It was way more comprehensive than I was expecting, examining every physical and mechanical factor that effects your performance on the bike of your choice. I was amazed by Ben's findings and recommendations, (despite previous analysis, he's the first one to spot that the problems I've been having with my left side may be being caused by a collapsing foot arch) and I'm already feeling the benefits. His attention to detail was exemplary, I didn't feel he put me under any pressure to spend loads of money, and we also had a really nice and informative chat while we were going through the process. I can't recommend this service, and Ben personally, highly enough.

Just went into store. Selected a jacket without needing help went to check out and was ignored for so long I left without the jacket. Several staff were chatting and wandering around but obviously had more important things to do than work. Don't waste your time going in, shocking service!

Wanted a new bike and saw one I liked very much, but they told me it was too big.
They were insistent about this even though it was the same frame size as my then current bike.
So, a leap of faith later, I ordered the smaller bike and when it arrived, they built it and helped set it up.
I can ride this bike ALL DAY LONG so they were right!
Then, a few short months later my chain broke (mystery as to why) and it took out the front mech too.
Bike-UK took the bike in and after a good few days and much wrangling with the manufacturers of the chain, the bike and the gears, they got it mended...for free!
My wife was so pleased!😆😉

About five months after buying a second-hand bike from Bike UK I checked it in to get a punctured tyre changed. Apparently there were a lot of things wrong with the bike, which also needed fixing. After holding the bike for 4 weeks without doing any repairs they eventually told me it wasn't worth repairing and that it was too dangerous to ride. Repair staff were very unhelpful. The manager was however extremely friendly and apologetic and arranged a full refund for the bike.

I've bought 6 bikes from Bike UK and their sister shop in Taunton Ralph Coleman's. All staff have always been friendly and helpful, matching prices and helping out as much as they can, including letting me use their demo bikes for free when mines in for service. Mechanics have always been great, especially Sandy in Taunton and they've always tried to keep the cost down. They have a busy workshop so wait for a service slot can be 4-6 weeks in the summer. Good selection of British bikes including Whyte, Orange and Genesis.

I bought my Mount Vision here a few years ago and have it serviced here regularly. The shop has just expanded and now has a lot more stock to drool over. Staff are always helpful and there's a good selection of kit. Only complaint is that the waiting list for servicing can be long.

Excellent service from DJ when I bought my wife a Kalkoff electric bike for her birthday at their stand at the Shepton Mallet Motorhome Show. Nothing was too much trouble and he lent us a demo bike to take on holiday abroad for a month whilst her new one needed key replacements which had to be obtained from Germany. For both the demo bike and the new one DJ fitted the bike to her in terms of saddle and handle bar adjustments and explained the use of the controls, display, lock and battery charging. Both the demo and new bikes had to be delivered to us involving 2 round trips of about 200 miles. I cannot speak highly enough of DJ and of Bike UK - Bristol.

I attended the local Whyte demo day organised by Calvin in March, bought a Whyte S120C RS through the shop (great bike) then decided I needed a spare pair of wheels. Stuart, the Workshop Manager built me a set using DT Swiss 350 hubs and XM421 rims. They’re a bit lighter than the OEM set and seem to spin more freely. Most importantly there was absolutely no noise from the wheels on the first ride showing how skilfully they’d been put together and after 20 hours of serious off-roading they remain perfectly true. I’m very happy needless to say.
