A nice and beautiful shop. As a bikepacker, I know that I always need a plan B. But how nice if plan A works as well: a bicycle shop along the national cycling route which flexibly and knowledgeable solves my problem. And in the meantime talk about cycling stuff. Thanks guys!

Brought my old bike in for repair only to find that parts are now obsolete.Very knowledgeable assistants gave me great advice and couldn't have been more helpful. Ended up deciding to buy a new bike which I shall be trying out next week. As always, a great shop with knowledgeable staff!

Had a problem with my Specialized Creo bike which was less than a year old , had an error code, so took it in, impressed with the customer service by Dano, all fixed and have ridden it 5 times since with no problem. I had a Retul Bike Fit today (07 Sep 21) with Russell at evolution. It was great from start to finish. Throughout the whole process he was explaining in detail each step and the processes and advice on how to get the most out of my riding. All in all a great experience that I would recommend! Sitting on a bike that is fitted properly has defiantly peaked my interest and hopefully will help with injury prevention.

Correction to my earlier review. Put my bike in for a service and it cost me a fortune. The mechanic did a fantastic job and all parts on the bike were replaced like for like. Bike rides like a brand new bike, but I am a casual cyclist and I didn’t think a service for a push bike would’ve cost me more than my car being serviced. If you are a professional cyclist or someone who is enthusiastic about cycling then highly recommended. But if you are a casual cyclist like me then I recommend going somewhere else.

Having decided to return to cycling after a long lay off I went to Cycle Evolution Colchester. This was the best move ever. I had a look around and sort of decided on a bike I liked the look of. I approached a chap who I now know is called ‘Dano’ and told him what I like. Dano asked me loads of questions about my cycling goal’s style of riding and very importantly made me realise I was actually looking for a frame size that was to big, he then pointed me to a bike he believed would be more suited to my needs. It wasn’t a more expensive bike in fact it was cheaper, so that made me think this guy isn’t just after selling me a bike, he’s fitting me to the right bike. Needless to say I took his advice. Dano also helped me with the right pedal and shoe combination and then set the bike up to a personalised fit to me. I took the bike home and went out for a short 20 mile spin just as a test. I’m so glad I went to cycle evolution and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants to get in to cycling either for the first time or like me after a long lay off.

Got in touch with James and although the bike I had stared with in mind is difficult to get I think I have ended up with a superior alternative ‘Trek Domane SL7’. It rides like a dream. James listened carefully to what difficulties I have and chose a superb option on my behalf. Awesome. And his patience on the tech stuff with me a non tech is outstanding!!!

Been having trouble with sizing for my shoes, sidi wires 2 and shots both tried and even though I have tried half sizes couldn't get the right fit. Mentioned my issue to James, he measured me, sure enough half size and out I walked with some Lakes. Transformed my ride. Thanks again.
