I came in with a catastrophic failure of my rear derailleur and the guys at Eastside were superb. A clear explanation of what needed to be fixed, replaced or checked and an honest quote of how much it could cost. The bike was repaired ahead of schedule, came in well below the estimated costs and rides like new again. Would definitely recommend Eastside bikes for anyone looking for bike repairs

Had a great experience with Eastside Bikes and will for sure return in the future. I took in a recent second Joan’s purchase for a service and to investigate why the chain was being thrown off. I got an upfront quote which was fair and they fitted me in to take the bike on the day with it ready for collection a couple of days later. They completed the service and parts well under the quoted price and only completed the work that was required. Really honest service. Even tidied up my dynamo wiring which wasn’t mentioned on the invoice so a friendly little bonus. Would recommend 👌🏼

Had an unexpected breakdown during my shift last night and took my bike straight to Eastside. Bike fixed in under 24 hours at a very reasonable price. Highly highly recommend using this place for any repairs. The guy who took my bike in knew exactly what to do after giving it a very quick glance. 5 stars from me, will be back to get the bike serviced here when needs be.

Highly recommended. Great service and clearly a workshop with integrity. I have been a customer of Eastside Bikes for the past 6 years and have found the work they have carried out for me to be of a high standard. Recently I needed a tubeless tyre sealed and although they were busy they managed to carry out the work when I explained it was needed for an upcoming cycling holiday. They have also carried out servicing, replaced chain sets and built a wheel to a high standard. This shop is a great facility in the local community and deserves to be well used.

Bought a secondhand bike back in November last year fantastic condition. Unfortunately had a problem with the derailleur. Last week so phone up and they fixed it the same day under warranty. Another Great Customer Experience from the guys at Eastside Bikes! Took mine and my partners bikes in to get serviced. New chain and cassette added to both and back got them back on the same day. Had a wee niggle with the chain popping off but took it back in and the guys were super helpful. They took it in and managed to get to the bottom of it and now its like a brand new bike! very happy indeed.

Excellent service. Friendly and helpful. I picked up a second hand bike a few months ago. I was really happy with it, but after about a month noticed that there a problem developing with the bottom bracket. They took the bike in without a quibble and fixed it within a day. After reading a lot of the reviews here I have to disagree with a lot of the negative comments. I cycle regularly and unfortunately do not always treat my bikes with as much care and respect as I should, because of this I have frequented a lot of different bike shops in my time and the service I have received here has been second to none. The staff are knowledgeable, offer sound advice and all work done on any of the bikes I have taken in has been completed promptly and to a high standard with out costing a fortune. It's worth pointing out that my regular day to day bike has an Alfine hub fitted at the back which has left many mechanics I have come across scratching their heads and again here no problems at all. I have three bike shops all close to where I stay and despite the choice I have I am sure I will be returning to Eastside for any future biking needs.

Great service - twice my bike has broken down nearby, the first time a stuck chain. Today my rear derailleur bent and I got a puncture, walked it in at 8.30 and by 12 all had been fixed and sorted and for a very reasonable price. Will definitely use again and no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Having done the rounds of most of the bike shops in Edinburgh. Eastside Bikes are the winner for me, reliable, cheap and down to earth service. I have purchased several second hand bikes from them for myself and helping friends get on the road. They have all been great runners and most importantly affordable. I go here for all my repair needs several times per year and have never been disappointing and am always pleasantly surprised at what fantastic value they are. Keep up the sterling work.

To give you an idea of the quality of the workmanship at Eastside, I have a wheel he built for me in 2014 that's still going strong after alot of use. They're always honest and will make sure you leave the shop with a safe bike.

Get your bike fixed here. These guys know bikes. That is all that really needs to be said, but there is excellent customer service that is driven by wanting the best for you and your bike. The shop range is exciting and constantly changing, and the pricing is very reasonable (3 inner tubes for £10!). Supporting local bike shops is always good, and this is one that has earned the right for it.

I’ve had a number of 5-star customer service experiences at Eastside Bikes. One example is a headset problem that was annoying me for a while. I watched every YouTube video before eventually taking it in one evening. They almost instantly saw me, diagnosed the problem, fitted the part I needed FOC and sent me on my way. Overall extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, great communication and fairly priced.

Got my 22year old Specialized Rockhopper completely refurbished including a new paint job and addition of brake disc mounts to a frame that wasn't originally designed for it. They took some time to do the research and got back to me with 3 price options and an explanation of the pros and cons to each price - I was impressed they took the time to do this - probably most places will give you a single option. I got quotes elsewhere and the prices were comparable with other places but having seen that Eastside bikes have a track record of doing this type of job, this gave me confidence in them. The project took about 2 months in total and I was happy to wait as I wanted a quality job, they kept me updated throughout including occasional photos. When I collected the bike the standard of work was excellent, it was unrecognisable from before and looks brand new and with addition of disc brake and extra gears is actually better than original spec - my wife is now paranoid it will get stolen. I now have the nice fuzzy feeling that a new bike gives you with the satisfaction that a decent frame has been upcycled and saved from scrap. There were a couple of items slack that I sorted when I got home but otherwise a great job and I would use them again.

These guys are awesome. I have used the shop since it first set up on Cadzow Place and before then when it was based a little further up the road. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. They have earnt my trust over the years by being so honest and helpful. There are no hard sells, just good sound advice, hard work and value for money service.

Got my bike serviced at a good price. Had a problem with gears a week later. Took it back. They listened, explained and then fixed it. No quibbles, no hassles. Very knowledgeable. I will use them again and definitely recommend.

Bike was fixed before the estimated time, and the final price was cheaper than what I was quoted. I opted for the pro service, along with my broken rear axle. I have heard stories of other shops cutting corners on these thorough bike services. (One friend of mine had his bike returned dirtier than when he dropped it off a different shop of course that I will not name) However, I could not have been a happier customer bike came out as good and as clean as new! These guys do great work! I learned of them from the Newhaven Festival last summer when one of the guys from this shop was fixing bikes for FREE!!!! Good work, good people highly recommend this shop!

For such a small shop the service here is second to none. They'll always bend over backwards to fit you in for any repairs or service needed, and often I'll go to pick up my bike to find they've charged me less than we'd mentioned before. As well as going the extra mile on cleaning and setting up the bike. They order in most of their new bikes, but have a great array of second-hand bikes that they've tuned up back into working order. Most are good as new, with only a few superficial marks or scratches. If you're out of a bike and looking for a new one, this is a great place to start.

I went in for a bike rebuild after an accident on a full sus mountain bike. the advice I got was top notch, they got in parts specially and did a total build within my budget and advised me on part which they thought would be better.
