The guys are always happy to offer guidance on maintenance and amendments to the bike, which is really useful for a novice like myself. I hired a gravel bike from Cyclelane for a week while I was visiting Glasgow in November 2021. It was a fantastic experience and made my trip so much more fun. Even though it was a busy period, the shop managed to set me up with a great bike that fit me well, and at a very reasonable rate (slightly less expensive than what I had seen for other shops in Scotland). They also included a lock, pump, spare tube, and helmet free of charge with the rental. The bike was perfectly maintained, and about 150 miles of riding went by without a single problem. The staff were easy to communicate with (even from across the Atlantic) and very happy to help - they clearly love to help cyclists get out and ride. They also gave me some good recommendations for bike rides in the broader area, including going to the Whitelee Wind Farm, which was an incredible experience. Though I didn't have the need to buy anything from the shop, it looked like they were well stocked with about anything you could need. I highly recommend Cyclelane for cycle purchase, hire, or repair, and I will definitely come back if I ever happen to be in Glasgow again.

Recommend this shop. Great service and had a decent amount of full suspension bikes available when other larger shops had none. Kept in touch whole time and do cycle to work scheme as well which is a bonus.. love the bike and they are always willing to answer any questions if needed.

Great service and advice from Charlie at Cyclelane at the weekend. The bike needed serviced, new pedals, cleats and shoes. Gave me the full range of options and didn’t try and just sell me the most expensive. Advised the most appropriate for my cycling level. Got the bike back after a few days and all is good. I’ve been using Cycle Lane for a couple of years now for parts, service and repair on both my mountain bike and gravel bike and it’s been a pleasure every time. The work has always been great quality at a good price (my last bearing replacement actually came in under the quoted price). The lads have helped me out of a couple of tight spots with quick repairs and in the spot adjustments. The staff are knowledgeable and have a good sense of humour. Easy 5 stars.

Excellent service, speed, and staff. I go regularly for minor things such as tubeless tyre changes, which always goes smoothly, with the wheels being ready within an hour or two (excluding the tubeless waiting period). I also get my bike serviced here and the last one in July of 2022 was delivered incredibly fast and far below expected cost, and the bike is still running as good as it was then with a thousand more miles on the clock. I've also had various other services and parts maintenance done here and service and quality is just as good.

With demand for bikes being at an all time high and supply being low, I was searching far and wide for a full suspension MTB that was in stock. As luck would have it I found a Merida One-twenty 600 at CycleLane Glasgow and, not being clear as to whether they'd take my Cycle to Work voucher I gave them a call. I spoke to John and from the first call the service was excellent, calling me back to confirm availability after it first looked like there was no stock. The email contact was excellent and a delivery date agreed for a week after purchase. When the bike arrived it had been packaged really well and aside from putting on the bars and pedals was set up really well. I'm now enjoying my new purchase and would recommend CycleLane Glasgow wholeheartedly.

Marta: It is a good bike, the color not as light as shown on the website but still nice. The only thing I would change is the saddle to have spring for bumpy roads. I am 165 cm tall and I have ordered the S size, it fills quite big though but i don't mind. Also remember there is no bike stand so you need to add it separately. They have however added a bell. Good service from Cyclelane, I had a question which they have responded by email by return.

Cyclelane were amazing throughout. I contacted a number of cycle shops and they were the only ones to respond and did so same day. Nothing was too much trouble, John advised on sizing and an alternative model when the bike I wanted sold out during my indecisiveness. Recently bought this Orbea Terra gravel bike at a great price from Cycle Lane and it just tears up the trails at the wind farm as well as being decently quick on the road. What an amazing place full of people who are passionate and knowledgeable about bikes. having spent a fortune in decathlon and Halfords to try and get my bike fixed it was a breath of fresh air to speak to people with so much information on my specific bike and what the best solution for my bike long term would be. I phoned Cyclelane up on a Tues and explained that the chain had snapped off my daughter's bike and could they have a look at it and give me an estimate. Took the bike in that day and got a phonecall a couple of hours later telling me the work that needed done and the price which was very reasonable. Bought 2 merida espeeder 200, for my wife and me. We both have road bikes and do plenty of miles. Got these for taking on holiday and leisure rides. Some months ago I spoke with John about purchasing a new road bike. I said there were things about my existing road bike I found uncomfortable and asked if he could provide a new bike with a "riding geometry" better suited to me. He suggested bringing the bike in for evaluation, which I did. Both John and the mechanic spent time measuring and evaluating my existing bike and measured stuff like reach, stack etc and asked what I would like improved in a new bike. I ended up buying a full carbon Orbea Orca set up to suit my personal preferences - made to measure if you like - and I love it. Excellent service, no complaints.

Brilliant service again from John at CycleLane. In under a week, new Merida OneTwenty 700 ordered and Delivered built up and ready to hit the local trails. 2 bikes purchased here now and simply can't fault for friendly reliable bike shop.

What can I say? John sold me my carbon frame Merida MTB 29er during lockdown, brought it over and was really friendly with stories about his family's history as pram merchants through the generations - so "still in wheels". Whilst the bike is lovely, my chain started jumping in top gear on the 3rd run out, having persevered with it for a while, oiling, cleaning to no effect I called up John, took it over and discussed. Worn out he said - which was difficult to hear given how soon it had started to happen. I left it with him and a couple of days later he texted to say it was sorted. popped over and he'd been brilliant. Sleeping on it he'd realised that road cyclists never wear out top gear and they're always changing their cog set of 11 gears. So he pulled the best one out of his recycling discards left the largest gear on my machine and machined the replacement back on. How much I asked? "Don't worry about it". A true gent. Top help and a great guy - I'll be going back even if it does mean a 30 minute trek across Glasgow!! Thanks John

Brilliant customer service and very competitive pricing on Felt bikes. Needed a race bike ASAP after mine was stolen, ordered a bike from Cyclelane, only to find they did not have my size in stock. I've spent a few weeks looking for a bike, given current circumstances, most local shops were overwhelmed with orders, waiting times reaching two months and more. Then I found Cyclelane in Glasgow, placed and order immediately, and waited patiently for over a week. Only supplier I could find to provide Merida Silex 400 gravel bike during lockdown. As I could not get to Glasgow, Cyclelane provided sensible and clear advice on sizing prior to purchase, which proved to be spot-on. This is my second time using Cyclelane on Clarkston Road. I bought two Bikes from them, last year, after they were recommended to me by a work colleague and wanted them serviced before the winter and, also, wanted two kids bikes for this Xmas. Everything from start to finish was spot on. During the service, a problem was found with one of the rear mechs but they called me to tell me what they found and how much it would be to sort before carrying out the work rather than me being surprised on collection. They know their stuff and went above and beyond trying to get bikes for the kids that matched what’s going on their Christmas lists. I’m delighted with them and they’ll be my first port of call for anything bike related.

Pros: Work was completed quickly and earlier than time slot especially during this time, and to a high standard. The individuals who complete the work are very good. Initially quoted few days then work completed immediately. Charge was reasonable for work required and time taken. Can not fault workmanship of this company. Would recommend based on skilled service given. Cons: Very condescending manner, the larger man with the bald head or very short hair was not pleasant to deal with. He states he deals with all the communication of the store, assume owner or someone of authority. Maybe just a bad day or busy time. Just did not feel comfortable dealing with him based on his manner.
