The gears on my hybrid bike were not shifting well so I took bike along to Just Bike Repairs to get checked out, before taking bike on a 200 mile circuit of North Yorkshire. Matt fixed the issue and also got my front brake working a lot better than it was, all for a very reasonable price. The bike ran like a dream throughout the trip, I thoroughly recommend Matts work.

Cycling back to Glasgow from Edinburgh when my front brake pads gave up the ghost. Just happened to be passing this shop and it was closed. Knocked on the door and they opened up and squeezed me in for a quick repair. This allowed me to make it to Glasgow. Great shop, fast service, good value for money he and went above and beyond to get me home. Cannot recommend highly enough

Excellent service yet again. 7years since the last and I had bearing to replace, top end Sram rear mech, cable and general neglect. I said to Matt let me know if it’s much over £500. He didn’t, fixed to perfection for less than half that. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll be back before another 7 years that’s for sure. Thank you for a consistently brilliant service. I’ve had the bike out on a few occasions since no it’s running like new.

Matt offers an excellent service to customers and is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. He is genuine and trustworthy, offering to undertake any work at a fair price. I have used him a few times for general repairs and recently he serviced my road bike. The bike rides like new and my rides are smooth and quiet again! Good as new. Highly recommended!!!

My new go-to bike shop! Matt is great - a fountain of bike-related knowledge, more than happy to help and is chatty and upbeat. He spent a considerable amount of time helping me out last night after I experienced a few issues with the bike on the way home. Significantly better than some of the more central shops in Edinburgh! Walked in with a snapped chain on a road ride, the worst! However, Matthew was fantastic, new chain and then also noticed & fixed the derailleur and gears all for £25 in under 10 mins! Very friendly, can't recommend enough.

Bike was serviced after not being used for 8 years. Matt did a first class job at a very good price. Had my first puncture on the road yesterday and after replacing the inner tube found that the wheel was not running freely. Tried to adjust brake but as an inexperienced cyclist could not understand what could be the problem. Dropped in to see Matt who explained all and fixed It in a couple of minutes. As someone who only started to cycle after almost 60 years to try and combat the lockdown it's great to have someone in the area who is very knowledgable, helpful and welcoming.

Matt is very experienced and helpful. He fixed a tricky headset problem on my road bike and helped me a lot when building a new bike up from a frame and group set. Great shop and great guy. Just wish there were more bike shops like this and less like Evans and Edinburgh bike Coop.

Used Matt for years now. Always top service, efficient, well priced, well communicated and quicker than any other shop. A regular now so always good for a chat from racing to equipment, exactly how a LBS should be. Cant rate highly enough.

never had a bad experience and have often came away with some good advice such as staying well clear of branded brake disk cleaners and instead going for some methylated spirits. I also took my communting bike in for a full strip and clean overhaul for £100 (this is a pretty standard price but most shops will find a way to charge extra in the end) and it came back good as new and he'd even changed the cables, pads and hub bearings at no additional charge. Only bad thing is that he is now so popular that sometimes he runs clean out of storage space and you need to wait a few days and get a little lucky. My advice to any and all existing customers, pick up your finished bike at the very first opportunity so Matt can make his living as efficiently as possible.

Even as bike mechanics go, Matt knows his stuff, giving accurate diagnosis on the spot and often predicting pending failures, or fixing easy issues as I wait. Every time I pick up the bike it runs like a song. Also, charges are always fair. All round excellent service.

Matt was everything you want in a bike repairman; knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and very reasonably priced. Got my kids Isla bike in for a repair and was done in a couple of days and its running beautifully now.

Bike was a nightmare to ride until I took it to this place. My back wheel needed truing, my gears weren't shifting properly and kept slipping and my back brakes were squeaking. Within about 10 minutes and about 10x cheaper than Halfords etc my bike felt like new. I will be taking it back if I have any other issues down the road. I couldn't recommend this shop enough.
