For exactly 200 of your Hackney pounds, my trusty and beloved frame got a wonderful paint job at Armourtex that made it beautiful again, and brought a little joy into my cycling life. Like me, you might want to check out their work by visiting the shop, and inspecting the many frames decorating the walls. I was then happy to drop off my frame to the lnice people at Armourtex - better than boxing it up and sending it to a remote, and ultimately anonymous workshop, I thought. Exactly 3 weeks later, I checked over the new paint job in the shop, before it was encased in bubblewrap and I took the short trip home on the North London Link. For the perfectionists out there, as I put the bike back together, I counted 5 pin holes in the new paint surface! But I should really stop doing that! and do something useful, like ride my bike. If I was respraying again, I might also ask Armourtext to take the bike apart, and put it back together again, as I took much longer over the rebuild than I really needed to. But I think the bike looks great - and you wouldn't want to knock off a postman would you?

Did a great job on my steel Fairlight. It was a slightly boring off-white, but is now resplendent in orange. The finish really is fantastic and Armourtex have been helpful through the whole process, including the rebuild. Recommend!

After having a beautiful job re-coating a very special bike as a gift 2 years ago, I used Armourtex to service my road bike this week. The team are very friendly, they were really open with recommendations on what might need work, and what might need work in the next 12 months. The bike was turned around really quickly, and despite having had the bike serviced regularly in the 8 years I've owned it, it's never run as smoothly as it does since this service. A great independent business, a great team, and great value for bike servicing as well as their super cool powder coating service.

It took 5 weeks instead of the 3-4 weeks that they told me it was going to take, because they made a mistake in the warehouse. Besides that, they gave me a discount for the delay and I gotta say that the paint job is flawless. The colour and the final texture is exactly what I expected and I love it. Yasmin was the person I talked with through the whole process and was kind and helpful. Even with the unexpected delay I have no choice but to give 5 stars.

A happy customer. I was delighted with the quality of the respray of my bike frame , the pitting and rust had gone and the new paint job was flawless. The rebuild was also flawless and the bike came back running better than before. Armourtex were great in that they will powdercoat and then assemble/set up your bike...a de facto one-stop shop. I took in an old Raleigh frame inherited from my grandfather. They refinished it and rebuilt it using parts supplied by me to my exact specification. The quality of the work was exceptional and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Yasmin is great to deal with and the job was completed promptly without fuss. They are genuine enthusiasts with a passion for their trade. Great place.

I have had three bikes powder coated here. The first was in Tottenham before the shop in Hoxton opened. It was a time sensitive project and they didn't get it done in time. However the work was very good (and the owner gave me a lift back to the station!). The second frame took a little over the two weeks turnaround time but again the work was excellent. There was an external issue with the flux from the welding that Armourtex identified and rectified without further charge and were very attentive in solving the problem. The third frame was done within the two weeks turnaround time and was perfect. I have always found the team to be very friendly and work hard to offer great service, calling and emailing to keep me informed. I have seen a noticeable improvement in their product and service and I will be dropping my fourth bike frame to them very soon. Recommended!
