After completely breaking my bike, i was in need of some quick repair work, Bon Velo booked in the repairs and sourced the parts required quickly. The quality of the repairs is also better than i have had from other shops so i will most definitely be returning.

Great local bike shop with patient and friendly staff who are keen to get you on the right bike for you or your family. None of the bikes are cheap but they are all good brands and designs so it can be a worthwhile investment. The shop will also tune your new bike for free after you’ve ridden it for a couple of weeks to make sure everything is in good shape and you’re happy with your purchase.

This is what independent bike shops are all about. Arrived without an appointment on a Saturday after messing up a DIY chain replacement. The owner couldn’t have been friendlier and fixed the issue on the spot, refusing payment. That kind of good will goes a long way - many thanks! ;-)

I had a crash on my bike and damaged it quite badly. Having previously used many bike shops before and always been satisfied I thought Bon Velo would be no different. These guys are simply a cut above the rest. Fast service, super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and more than happy to help. All of this you together I would expect to come at a premium. I was wrong. I travelled a fair distance to use these guys and wouldn't hesitate next time. I hope I don't need to use them again but if I do I know I'll be in good hands. Keep up the good work!!

BON Velo are a lovely bunch of people, very good at their work and extremely helpful. They are currently looking after two bikes for me post-service, as I had to leave London indefinitely for a family emergency. Would strongly recommend.

Had a puncture and popped to get a tube on the go, the tube was £6/7 if I recall and it was not even a continental tube or Michelin. Bit of a rip off to be fair. Wanted to change the tube inside but he said I have to go outside, not the nicest way to help a cyclist. Go in if you have too. Best bike shop is youtube and a few tools for £20/30 which will last you a lifetime.

I've just driven back from Bon Velo in Herne Hill and had the best customer service experience that I wanted to share. I'm a mum of 11 month old twins and this morning the tyre on the double pram just exploded out of no where. I obviously couldn't push the twins in the pram to the shop and driving was a tricky option as I can't carry them both for any length of time or distance. The owner was so kind and accommodating - he came out of the shop and did it all remotely for me. He took the tyre in, fixed it, brought it out and then took my card to take payment in the shop and brought it back out again. So kind - you've saved the day Mr Bon Velo Man! Two teething twins, with colds and no pram to take them out of the house with = disaster. Thank you so much for being so patient and kind. As a house of cyclists, we will definitely be using you again!

Honestly, these are the nicest and best people to deal with. Buy a bike from them and they will make sure it lasts you a lifetime. Very reasonable prices for servicing and repairs. Lovely things in the shop, top of the range accessories, but I have to say, you get what you pay for.

Used this shop twice and great experience both occasions. First was a service transforming the bike and the second time they troubleshooted a problem with my front mech I'd been trying to fix for hours! I dropped it off and within in the hour they gave me a courtesy call telling me it was ready meaning I could collect it before leaving the area and not have to worry about planning my day around collecting later!

Best bike repair shop in the area. It might look like a bike showroom serving the well healed residents of Dulwich and Herne Hill but there's real expertise out the back and they're friendly, efficient and reasonably priced too.

I love this bike shop... Have fixed my bike a few times. Great job. Rubbish mobile website though and check opening times. I got stuck waiting an hour once because I thought 8am was opening everyday... Its not.
