Had a dodgy Schrader valve and kept loosing air. was on my break and found these guys online quickly made my way there soon as i entered the shop the mechanic at the back came straight up to me and asked if he could help as the person on the counter was serving someone else,I explained the situation and he got right onto it within 5 mins he changed the valve over with a new one and pumped my tire back up and they didn’t even charge me. Thank you guys greatly appreciated.

I don't write many reviews but I felt compelled!!! Clever Mike is the best bike repair service in London!!! I live in Clapton but always go to Hornsey to see Dave for any repairs because the service is great, he and his fab staff really know their stuff. I am always surprised at how quick and reasonably priced it is as well. I went with a missing wheel this week (devastated) and the turnaround time was astonishing and it's riding better than ever 10/10!!!! 🙌💚☺️🙏 What an asset to North London!!

I wish I had come across this shop before. I am absolutely impressed by the level of service they provide. I took my bike for a groupset change and now my bike feels and looks like new. They even polished up the frame! The communication was excellent, very transparent about the costs of parts and labour. All the members of the staff I dealt with were very friendly. Had the best experience with this professional business after losing hope in finding a trustworthy bike repair shop. Took my bike to get a chainring replaced, but thankfully they have found more than one issues, which I was unaware of, that could've easily caused me a bad accident. Just had my road bike serviced by Jo and the other CleverMike team. They provided a great service and detailed explanation of all the items they checked and serviced. The team is very through and knowledgeable as well as being responsive on texts when discussing replacement parts and collection times. they even retaped by bar, after my botched attempt! Arrived ahead of my booking at 13:55. I gave my bike, had a chat, gave my name. By 14:06 I had my bike back, with my rear cassette replaced and the bike working 100% Excellent service and very affordable. I will be a return customer.

You can tell that this is a very well run shop just by phoning or by popping in - it's a proper workshop and you can immediately tell that all the staff really take pride in what they're doing. I just got my gears serviced by James; I'm extremely happy with the work he did. It was much cheaper than expected because he was up front about the chain and rear cassette not being worn enough to need replacing (which is what I was worried about). The bike was ready earlier than expected, it feels fantastic to ride again, communication was fantastic, I couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service - possibly the best in London. I took my bicycle there for a simple tune-up but when I got it back the gear stopped working and the chain fell off. After I left a negative review here, they responded promptly and offered to pay for a cab to bring the bicycle back to their workshop and fix it for free. This is the kind of customer service you very rarely experience in London and I only have praise for them. In the end the bicycle has been fixed and it works perfectly now.

Cycling home from the City with a severe rubbing hydraulic disc brake. Popped in as I know the shop from when I lived in the area. They immediately provided a temporary fix to significantly help the situation and said I could book it in for a permanent fix. They wouldn’t accept any payment for solving my issue. This place is great - the owner David goes totally above and beyond the call of duty, and has the super-friendly, enthusiastic attitude of someone who just loves messing around with bikes. Especially good if you've got a secondhand or vintage bike and are tired of the baffled/condescending looks of staff in the bike chain stores who want to flog you a Specialized! Having tried pretty much every bike repair shop in the area, this is my favourite.

Would highly recommend for any bike repairs! I went in to get a bottom bracket replaced on my bike. Another popular bike shop had told me it had rusted to the frame so they couldn't repair it, but Clever Mike went the extra mile to weld an extra rod to the bottom bracket in order to get it off. They had a very quick turnaround and came in much cheaper than the popular bike shops quote.

I popped in this morning for the first time, and found the owner and his colleague to be really lovely, friendly people. They didn't moan about the terrible state of my very old bike, and they carried out my puncture repair really promptly. I'll be getting my service done here for sure. David and their team did a fantastic job lacing a custom hub that did not even have an axle. They were up for the challenge and went all out - even used the neighboring companies services to make a special jig to attach the hub on the lacing stand. On top of that I was panicking and the turn-around and response was fantastic. True pros, you can just see from the outside - organised workshop and guys who take care of themselves and the bikes!

Hydraulic disc brakes pistons popped out while I was changing the brake pads with the fluid leaking out. Both front and rear brakes failed, with a sportive in Leeds the next day I needed help asap. Clever Mike came to the rescue, and these guys came out on top, within 24 hours I had my bike back in working order, they replaced the front caliper and repaired the rear. Thanks lads for the getting it sorted so quickly and professionally.

My Ridgeback developed a crack on the frame. I googled Clever Mike and popped over to talk to them about my options and costs involved. The repair shop is situated away from the street -- I've ridden past it countless times and never noticed it. But it is well organised and quite clean. The bloke inside (David) was very friendly and honest and advised me that my best bet was to have it repaired for free under the Ridgeback lifetime warranty. I've circled back to the original shop I bought it from -- problem sorted -- it will go off to Ridgeback for free repair!! But I will entrust Clever Mike with any future repairs -- they are very honest and competent and the cost estimates I got from them over the phone (before they realised it was under warranty) were very competitive. PS Google Search does a good job of hiding this shop which is quite close -- it took about ten searches with different keywords before I found any references to Clever Mike
