Brilliant bike shop with great service and great people. I took my trusty but beaten up old single speed in there years ago and they sorted it out (new wheels, brakes etc), allowing it to run for years more. Took it in last week when a wheel was stolen and they replaced it, gave the bike a once over to reassure me that the rest of it was working fine, plus later helped me switch some pedals around. Would definitely recommend.

I have been a customer since the shop opened and they continue to demonstrate why you shouldn't go anywhere else for your bike, servicing, or accessories. From custom building my perfect bike to on-the-go repairs and helping with the inevitable insurance claims needed as a cyclist in London the whole shop are phenomenal Bikes are an investment and paying great people the money for a great bike will always pay off. Independents like this should be treasured.

These guys have an amzing selection of bespoke, semi bespoke and off the peg bikes, parts and other cycling gear. Their focus seems to be adventure, gravel and off road builds. Of which, most weeks, they display a new bike in their window. I quite often go for coffee, two doors down, and find myself drooling over some exotic creation. They are a small shop, so getting a service opr small mechanicals has to be booked. They also arent Evans (a very good thing) so don;t expect to pick up cheap, chinese, made parts or peripherals.

Where to start?! No hard sell. Minor adjustments and assessment was free. Mechanic spent plenty time explaining the issue & my options to great length without feeling rushed. Great knowledge too. If only it was closer!!!!

Excellent service! The freewheel on my singlespeed was making grinding noises so called up the shop to ask for assistance. Although they didn’t have available slots until July they kindly agreed to let me come by for them to have a quick look at the bike outside. They quickly assessed the issue and when the freewheel needed replacing they offered to squeeze in the work on the same day so that I could pick it up after work! When I picked it up they had also fixed the chain ring that was apparently attached to the wrong side of the crank, at no extra cost - so happy with the service!

Great place! I had a puncture while out of my local area and found this shop through a recommendation from another bike shop nearby. They were kind enough to store my bike until I could return for it the next day. The repair was well done and they offered lots of good advice too. Cloud 9 is by far the best cycle shop I've ever come across. Not only are the bikes they are building of best, bespoke quality. The guys who run the shop are the most service oriented, friendly and knowledgeable lot I can think of. I especially appreciated that they really did listen to my ideas and wishes - whilst always stretching the envelope to come up much better ideas, never content with easy or fast solutions (eg the bike frame they have identified was not sold in the UK any more & it took various calls and mails to have it imported from the USA instead). Result: Cycling from Stockholm to Gibraltar (in total 45 days, 5160km, 40,000m altitude) indeed felt like cycling on Cloud 9 - the most comfortable & whilst sturdy and fast bicycle I've ever had. And without any issues or break-downs. Not even a flat tyre..

This is the epitome of great service from a bike shop. Chain snapped on my Brompton last night. Called them at 4.30pm and they confirmed they could sort. After being frustrated with other bicycle service shops in London, I visited this shop and it was a different level to me, professional, quick, efficient service and friendly staff. The prices are acceptable (and compared to the service you get it’s cheap). They give a full explanation, and send email quotes before fixing, so you never get surprises. They reply emails quickly (sometimes even out of working hours), I understand some customers left bad reviews, mistakes can happen everywhere. However, I can see every bad review has a reply from the shop to explain what happened. Overall I highly recommend this shop.

I messaged these guys about indexing my gears properly as I bought a new bike. They took it in at short notice, took 10 minutes and away I went. No charge! Super kind of them. I then had further indexing problems and I contacted again, without much notice and they said to head in. Fixed it there and then. Amazing service and really helpful guys down there. Adam and the team gave incredible customer service throughout, proactive about communicating delays due to the pandemic and even loaned me one of their hire cycles until my bike arrived. Can't put more than 5 stars? Had my bike fitting appointment yesterday with Wei. Totally amazing. Just turned the way I was riding upside down and made it feel seamless. He is not only very knowledgeable, but super friendly and caring. I know that whatever I will need in terms of fit or services kn my bike, I will be definitely come back to cliud 9 cycles again!

So I recently purchased a new frameset and I started to convert all the components over from my older bike. However I messed it up and work was taking over time wise so I popped into Cloud 9. I was in a rush and panic because I needed my bike for an upcoming trip. I won’t bore you all but essentially Cloud 9 sorted me out despite being mega busy due to the current demand caused by Covid19. They were very VERY patient and professional with me and it all resulted in a fantastic bike. Please please if you’re nearby check them out. Fantastic shop

Dropped by this morning to get a quick tune-up for my commuter bike and had a great chat with the guys running the shop. They mentioned they were a bit backed up and it might take till the end of the week (3 days away) to get through the work. Got an email a few hours later that they'd done the inspection, tightened things up, and I could come pick it up. Stellar, fast, and friendly service; great price; true local expertise. I was in the area and visited with the intention of "just looking" but purchased a Cinelli frame which they had in stock as it was too beautiful to let slip. Having agreed a price they took the time to explain to me how to set it up for the build I wanted to achieve, they installed the headset and they faced up the BB shell too. Being a bit of a bike geek I asked lots of questions as this was being done, each one was answered patiently and in full and they spent time making sure I was happy. Really good experience - had issues with bottom bracket that condor didn’t pick up in two services, also had issue with Campy EPS that they fixed within a day. Couldn’t recommend enough - my bike’s been serviced at Sigma Sports, Bespoke, formerly Mosquito bikes, Condor, and I preferred the experience at Cloud 9 out of all of them. They’re very capable, from indie frames to very high end kit, and they’re super friendly whilst they do it.

An update on my earlier review. The guys in the shop continue to win my admiration. Since buying my bike (as mentioned below) I've been in and out on smaller jobs like maintenance and servicing and their level of care and expertise continues to be excellent. There's a generosity and warmth in the way they interact with me. A bright star in customer service amongst the many institutions I engage with. A bike shop that cares. In replacing my stolen bike they helped me create a bike that matches my needs better than anything I've ridden before. Their friendliness and expertise didn't end with the building of the bike but continued with tips and tweaking of the setup to get things just right for me. Ultimately, the theft of my old bike turned into a life boosting experience.

I defy you to find a more charming, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, efficient and dare I say handsome bike professional than this young man. Only problem I’ve had is bargaining him UP on price as even though I’m not well off it’s pretty obvious that he undercharges. If I could give ten stars, I would. Was a very lucky day for me when I found Cloud 9 cycles.

New bike, bespoke bike fitting - all done to the highest standards of quality (believe me, I am a very demanding customer!). These guys rock - other bike shops sent me away after the aluminium frame of my old bike broke right through but Cloud9 re-built my bike, better, stronger and lighter than ever with a titanium frame and carbon fibre seat post and saddle. Looks absolutely stunning and rides even better. And Tony gave me an individual bike fitting that taught me a lot about the perfect riding position, allowing me to now enjoy my new bike more than ever. Amazing experience at Cloud9Cycle with Adam and all at Cloud 9. I'm just back from a Canadian adventure. Next stop Patagonia. I'm that cyclist that walks in hungry for adventure but with old back injuries and lots to learn. Great find in a big city. Excellent service, great bike, friendly atmosphere. I rented a single-speed bike for a weekend I happened to be in London during a business trip. They returned my email quickly confirming they had a bike available, and although the place is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall to find, it was worth the minor effort. The guys were great fun to chat with, and very accommodating of my odd schedule. Had a blast on the bike, even went out and bought my own fixie when I got home as a result. I also wear my Cloud 9 Cycles t-shirt proudly. I don't know that it does them much good in Atlanta, but they've got a fan in the US and they will be my first stop the next time I'm in London and can scare up a few hours to ride on the wrong side of the road.

Basically the only place in London I trust with my bike. The service here is second to none. They talk you through anything that needs fixing, they let you know your options about potential costs and advise you on what they would do.... it's rarely the most expensive option. They looked after my first bike and when it came for an upgrade this was the only place I knew I could trust. They are the other side of London to me but worth the distance as I know I'm in good hands. Can't recommend highly enough.

I had a really pleasant experience in this premium bike shop. My seat post clamp bolt was chewed and they removed it for me free of charge and replaced it with a new one. The staff member was helpful and the shop was immaculate. The folks that whirl in there are particularly keen on SRAM and mountain bikes, but happily turn their hands to road stuff. Cloud 9 Cycles is the best bicycle shop I have ever visited, period. The staff/owners are friendly, knowledgeable and not patronising. They don't try to push the latest kit to make a quick profit - they genuinely try to provide exactly the right thing. Example - my Brooks saddle was stolen a year or so ago. I visited them to buy a replacement - and inquired about the fancy titanium rail upgrade. Rather than try to sell me that, they suggested the normal saddle, but in brown, as it looked better with the color scheme of my bike. Bear in mind that these folk stock all the latest and nicest kit. I bought the brown saddle, and it looks great. Just about to collect a wheel they've just built for me. I've often built my own, but trust them way more.

Good for little things like reattaching pannier racks to full on services for Bromptons and even scruffy mountain bikes. They are good at explaining what needs doing and why- would recommend.

Glad to see everyone else has experienced the same great, friendly and top quality service that I have. These guys are super helpful and really willing to sort out any problems you may have with your bike. Secret to a successful bike shop...don't be a douchebag, like most mechanics I've experienced in London bike shops. You'll have no problem with that here though! After taking my bike to a couple other places about a ticking sound, two mechanics had their take on what it could be without even touching my bike! Then I took it here to Cloud 9 and two of the mechanics took their time to actually take my bike for a spin to work out what it was. All fixed up now, and another case of pro-bono service. So I will be going here when I next need anything else as they deserve some of my wages!

Three days ago my driveside pedal unthreaded and flew off in traffic outside Russell Square—luckily I was close by Cloud 9, and walked myself over, bracing for it to be expensive, but needing to have it fixed ASAP. I’m so glad I did: Adam was incredibly helpful! Despite my panic over my crank being stripped, and needing to redo my whole drive chain, he suggested trying to re-tap the threads or putting in an adaptor to get me home and not break my budget. Even though they were swamped with repairs they got my bike done well before I needed to ride back. To boot, they only charged me for labor, and it was incredibly affordable. Excellent customer service and a new go-to campus shop!

Awesome bike shop! Took advantage of the 50% Good as New servicing for an old Gitane racer. They also helped me change out new stem, handlebar, break levers and grip tape for free whilst they were at it. As a typically self sufficient cyclist I wasn't looking forward to wrestling with yet another repair. Once inside, however, I was immediately welcomed and given knowledgable advice. Having been to the likes of Evans and Halfords I was lucky enough to find Cloud 9 Cycles, couldn't have asked for anything more. They're impartial, hugely helpful and genuinely just want you to have the best cycling experience you can. They fitted my bike with mud-guards, a top of the range security system, lock, lights, chain oil and when I asked if I needed new tyres they honestly told me "no, these ones will do for now, when you wear them out come back here and we'll do you a good deal on better anti-puncture ones" - Forget the high street names Cloud 9 Cycles are the place to go.

The best bike store in London. I haven't been to all the stores in town – but now I know that my search is over. Adam and Kris run a great store with cool bikes of many kinds on display, lots of parts, and they each have lots of experience. Their speciality are custom-built bikes. Adam and Kris will listen to your bike needs, they won't try the pushy up-sell, and if you go for a custom-build they'll make you the bike of your dreams. Their after-sales support is also terrific.

The best customer service I've experienced in years! Not just in cycle shops, but anywhere. I've just started cycling to work in London and was lucky enough to experience a puncture within pushing distance of Cloud 9 Cycles. Noticing my somewhat rusty inner tube changing technique, Adam stepped in to not only do the whole job for me, but give me a step-by-step refresher lesson while he did it - without even charging the usual labour fee. Not only that, but he then grabbed some more tools and asked if he could fix my broken (and now no longer painful to sit on) seat, also free of charge! Bless them. I had a flat, they sold me an inner tube (so far, so expected) then I made a total muck up of fitting it and actually exploded the thing. Yes - I blew up my bike in their shop. They were extra super nice and insisted on replacing it themselves and didn't charge me for the second rubber - I don't know if this was pity or a desire to get me out of their nice store, but they were just great. Was cycling happily through central London when I discovered I had got a puncture. Well, I was completely unprepared for this but fortunately found Cloud 9 cycles about 10 minutes walk away. Adam and Chris who work there were suitably sympathetic and helpful - real friendly down to earth guys. They would not normally mend punctures but would happily fit a new inner tube. The price seemed reasonable for central London and certainly not as expensive as others around. I got lots of good advice about tyres and inner tubes and Adam kindly gave me a "free lesson" on how to mend a puncture in future. I was back on the road within 20 minutes. Great service, highly recommended.

These guys are super nice, genuine, down-to-earth, and maximally trustworthy - seriously, I've dealt with other bike-fixers in the area - Evans didn't even test out their supposed fix and kept my bike 2 more days without telling me - they're just too big to care .... Chamberlain were good, but seemed bit aloof - but the guys at Cloud 9 know their stuff, and give you the straight goods. You have to look for them though - they don't have a big flashy shop front - they're tucked under the railway arch behind a metal fence :-)

Very helpful indeed - I had an issue with my rear wheel coming loose from the horizontal drop outs causing it to slip and rub against the chainstay. Luckily it happened on Gower street just round the corner from this place. They wanted to have a proper look to make sure it was safe so I left it there until the afternoon. There was no need to replace anything so they fixed it free of charge and the old Bickerton rides very well again now. It is refreshing to go to a bike shop that just wants to help out and does so with a smile.

Having built myself a racing bicycle some thirty years ago when living just around the corner from Store Street, I had for some time been intending to bring the rather tired-looking Condor frame and components back up to their former glory. Whilst visiting London back in February I happened upon Cloud 9 Cycles whilst strolling around my old stamping ground and liking what I saw in the window, decided to go in for a look around. After a chat with Kris who assured me that a full strip down, complete frame re-spray and a rebuild of the Condor was well within Cloud 9's remit I knew the time had come to get the job done. It seemed fitting that the work was to be carried out just around the corner from my old flat in Woburn Place. Just over three months later I collected the bike and thanks to the hard work and attention to detail put in by Adam and the team I am absolutely delighted with the result. Cloud 9 really do understand the importance of "retro" in connection with bicycles and what it takes to do the job properly. Unfortunately I cannot turn the clock back to be thirty years younger myself, but the Condor has done just that! I would highly recommend Cloud 9 for this kind of project. Thanks Guys and keep up the good work.

Above and beyond. We have just been to London to participate in the London Tweed Run held on 13 April 2013. Due to our limited timeschedule in London (we were visiting from Copenhagen, Denmark) and the fact that the shop was closed for renovation at the time, Adam, from Cloud9, suggested that he drop off the bikes at the hotel and picked them up there also. How great is that. ; ) He made sure that the bikes fitted us and gave us suggestions on where to cycle securely, so we could make it across London to the starting point for the Tweed Run. We were exceedingly happy with the bikes that had just the right retro look for the tweed run, but were also light and very easy to manoeuvre around, had twin-brakes, a basket for all our stuff and a very comfy saddle. ; ) All in all a very good experience and we will be back next year to participate in the Tweed Run and we will definitely use Cloud9 again. Great shop, great staff. They don't bullshit you about what work needs doing on your bike, they've often turned around minor repairs for me in a tight timeframe, they're courteous and friendly and they only sell products they believe in.
