i had an issue with my rear hub which turned out to be an extra bearing which had come loose and caused some minor damage, inside. it took a few attempts to identify the issue and the team at Monument were extremely patient with me and my bike and i’m really happy with the service they provided. the team was very professional, courteous and accessible. they spent a lot of time and effort working on my bike, in the end, and were very good at communicating through the app, over the phone and in person. special thanks to Aidan, Colin, Edward and Lee at the workshop, and Emily at head office. i’m really happy with the outcome and will use them in future for my bike’s needs, without question. highly recommend Fettle. thank you very much, team!

Hands down the best and most fairly priced bike service I've had. After booking, the next-day pick-up was easy, with the driver giving me a heads up when he was nearby so I could have the bike ready. The next day, I received a really detailed email setting out what needed to be done with and a wallet-friendly quote compared with past services elsewhere! The bike feels brand new and so smooth - I can barely hear the gear changes! Handlebars were even kind enough to hang on to my bike for a few days as I was unable to have it delivered straight after the service. My old but lightly used Trek bike needed a bit of tuning and I booked 'sweet ride' service with these guys. It was very easy to book, the service was done by Lee on the same day, with all the communications done very smoothly via SMS and email. Excellent service! I went in to get my gears adjusted because my new bike from Wiggle was struggling to get into its highest gear. The guys were absolutely lovely. I mentioned the bike was new and I'd had to assemble the handlebars and pedals. I got my bike back the same day and not only are the gears as smooth as butter, but they'd adjusted my handlebars to where they were meant to be! They also helped me out with my bike lights before I set off home.

Fantastic service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble. Quick turnaround - and happy to keep your bike until they close at 7pm if ypu want to come back later. Perfect for those working in the City. Last time I booked my bike in with a problem, the solution was just a tweak, so they didn't even charge me!

Handlebars is bike service done right, full stop. Booking was fast and simple and the service excellent. What really stood out for me, and why I’m writing this review, is because of their integrity. I booked and was quoted for the service that I thought I needed. When the mechanic actually got to looking at my bike he realised the problem could be fixed more simply than I had thought. Handlebars only fixed the problems my bike had, and only charged me for the work that was actually required. This is a business you can trust, and one I will be returning to regularly!

Took my bike in for a service at Handlebars after a sportive in some pretty horrible conditions, and in preparation for more winter riding. I was extremely impressed by the team and their very personable service. They took time to show highlight some maintainable issues I might experience in the future, and explained ways in which I could overcome them. I’ve had my bike serviced by a couple of people over the last 18 months including some pretty high end places, and handlebars have been the best! The mechanics are clearly extremely experienced and passionate about what they do. Certainly will be using them moving forward for anything on my bike.

You can tell that Lee really cares and wants to give the best possible experience to his customers. He takes the time to explain which is something I've never experienced either. Expert bike mechanics that you can trust who don’t charge you an arm and a leg. I’ve had a few issues with my bike since I started riding more during lockdown and each of them have been quickly and completely resolved by handlebars. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Most recently spoke with Lee who was able to diagnose and resolve the issue with my drivetrain at the first time of asking. Professional, expert service and never any complaints!

These guys are great! Sadly, I find it so tricky in London to find any services (biking or otherwise) that are reliable, flexible, affordable and run by warm and knowledgable people that care. Handlebars ticks all these boxes. I brought my partner’s bashed up Trek in and the guys had it up and running within an hour - likely less. I scheduled a time online which also gives the guys an overview of the issues and you an overview of the cost. I also had a slow puncture so popped in again and not only did the guys fix it up on the spot, they also kindly showed me how to sort myself for next time. I wish all of London’s service-based businesses could follow these guys’ example and take joy in their work - it makes the experience better for everyone! Thanks again!

I had a problem with my bike on my cycle into the city and found Hanlebars on google. Lee fixed by brakes striaght away and offered to adjust my front tyre. Service was great and very efficient. Someone stole the front wheel of my beloved Saracen bike , and Handlebars managed to locate a replacement wheel ( in a difficult supply chain situation ) , fixed , cleaned and serviced my bike speedily , and they even kindly gave me a discount because the turnaround time took a bit longer than expected . Clueless about my own bike & who to take it to but I needed someone to check out what I thought were two flat tyres. Rang me with an update after they'd checked it out and in the end only need to replace one inner tube. Super convenient location right off the supercyclehighway, fast turn around and easy to book in. Didn't mind at all that I was late to deliver bike, and 0 judgement for not knowing if my tyre was actually punctured or not. Really great guys, fully recommend👍

Lee and Handlebars did a great overhaul of my bike yesterday. They replaced chain, cassette and various other parts within a day and it now feels like a new bike. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Can’t fault the service. Very efficient and unbelievably easy to book an appointment. (I had tried at Evans and they weren’t taking bookings for the next three months. They also hadn’t noticed my rear mech was damaged on last service) The guys at handlebars however must have smeared my bike in Lurpack though because now it is buttery smooth to ride.

*need bike work done? look no further* After crossing Tower Bridge with the front wheel practically flat, finding this bike shop was a godsend - the mechanic was very kind to lend me a pump and when I failed to use the pump correctly and jumping to conclusion that the tire's punctured, the mechanic told me to wait 15 minutes while he fixes the bike. *without appointment and during lunch hour* He did all these free of charge because it was just a case of stupid cyclist (me) not pumping tire correctly XD Thank you!!!

I figured that having Lee Askew (EX Head Mechanic DHB Canyon) on the team they know how to do performance bikes and not just commuters. I was right. The bike came back a dream.
