I went today to change my brakes. Very welcoming team, and prompt service. I had my breaks changed within one hour, that is amazing, especially if one use the bike to commute to work. Highly recommended.

A really good bike shop. Got a puncture on my way to work, about 4 minutes from the shop. Within 15 minutes the puncture was sorted and I was back on the road only 20 minutes late for work. Good value too, hopefully I won't get another puncture any time soon but if I do I know where to go

Great service! Friendly and helpful staff. Took my bike in, in the morning and was given an estimate. My bike was ready around 7 hours later, lots of work done and almost to the penny on the quote! Just moved to Finsbury Park in late 2020, and do a lot of cycling for work and leisure, my road bike was getting a bit rough and in some desperate need of some TLC. Took it the guys at Finsbury Park cycles and they were really clear with what they think would need, gave me ball park figures of how much it would cost. They turned it around in a day, full service, new cogs and chain, new brake pads and new cable, as well as straightening my handlebars and cleaning out the grit in the headset and wiping clean my bike in general. Good price, good quality of work, honest guys and my bike rides like it’s brand new again. Will defo be returning for all my bike needs from now on - thanks!

Excellent bike service from Finsbury Park cycles. Originally bought the bikes from there 8 years ago and they've lasted well. This week they serviced them for us to get then working again. Staff were really helpful when I phoned to find out when they could do them and offered an appointment the next day. When we got there they saw us straight away in a covid secure way and explained exactly what they were going to do. We got a call early afternoon to say they were ready and we couldn't believe how fast they were. When we picked the bikes up they were polite and prompt and explained everything they'd done. Absolutely excellent service that I would highly recommend.

Excellent service all the way through. Andy helped me choose a bike I am very happy with, meets my needs perfectly (a hybrid) and then guided me through the process of buying it using my company's cycle to work scheme. They have been very responsive to a couple of emails post sale. They fitted bike with great accessories and I highly recommend them. They have stayed opened during the lock down. Be prepared to queue until the lock down ends - they are very popular.

Popped into the store and was welcomed by a very warm and friendly team. I let them though I had been to another cycle shop and they had let me down and I still needed some repairs. I was very happy with the service offered by Lenny and the team. They are knowledgeable and easy to talk to, helpful, and clearly passionate about bikes. I was looking for a new bike and they helped match a bike to my needs. And I had a bike for servicing. They gave me a fixed price, and it turned out the job took several hours longer than they expected, but they stuck to the quote. A nice thing is that they will service my new bike for free after 6-8 weeks, which you don't get with buying online.

I bought a new bike from Finsbury cycles yesterday. All the guys in the shop were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. I've used Finsbury Cycles a few times now, and I like them. I've seen the same staff there many times, so I feel that I know them and trust them now. They offer value for money - they don't try to replace every part, but instead try to get me back on the road with the minimum reasonable cost and effort. I think I could ask them to change more parts if I wanted to, but I'm happy with their approach. They really stood out for me when I sold a bicycle on Ebay recently, and needed to get it boxed up in cardboard, and then collected by a courier. They boxed it up for me for only £25 I think, and then they held on to the bike until the courier came to collect it from them, which was incredible service - thank you!

Not one to usually bother with reviews but this shop definitely is worthy of a glowing review. To start off I live in south London and think the 1hour journey is worth the trip. I have visited a few local ones and also other “bigger” named bike shops and more often than not youre met with arrogant staff who make you feel like youre doing them a favour by entering their shop... From the first time i visited Finsbury cycles, their staff have taken their time to answer a few questions I had as I recently entered the world of cycling. Some bike shops make you feel like they charge for asking questions!! I have a vintage bike which some places dont seem keen to touch or try and flog you their own in house brand stuff. The guys at Finsbury cycles offer good suggestions rather than try rip you off and up-sell. Their prices are also reasonable for the service provided so you dont feel like youre being overpriced. After having my bike “serviced” elsewhere and returning it to the same shop a few times because was not running smoothly I gave up. This is what led me to find Finsbury cycles and they got my bike running as smooth as its ever been. Have recommended a few friends who have all left as happy customers. If youre local or passing through the area I would suggest popping in even if just to say hello. Wishing the team (shoutout to Andy) a Merry Christmas and continued success into the New Year

I had a handful of problems with my road bike which I commute on about 80 miles per week. As I knew it needed major work I took it to the brand dealer (Giant Camden) and they quoted just under £1000.00. I couldn't quite believe it so instructed them not to touch it and I would pick it up. I remembered going into Finsbury Cycles for a few bits from time to time so thought i'd contact them to see whether they could have a look and quote me. 3-4 very friendly guys had a look straight away and quoted me just shy of £400.00. Went in there today because a small part on my mudguard had broken, they fixed it in a flash and didn't take anything for it. Reliable servicing here, reasonably priced. Initially a much less-than-satisfactory experience after staff were rude and really unhappy about rectifying a faulty bike rack. Saying that, on my return to pick up the bike the owner had the good grace to apologise on behalf of the shop. I appreciate this as its not always easy to accept when you might have handled things badly. Some of the team could do with taking a more positive approach to their work and not assume that a fault always lies with the customer but I would maintain that it's always better to shop local.

Used to take my Triumph to repair shops in Archway, Tufnell Park, and Kentish Town but had always broken again shortly after, once actually on the same day. The guys here seemed way more knowledgable than the others and instead of just fixing one problem I had, they did a kind of diagnostic on my bike and noticed certain things had been fitted incorrectly by past shops. They repaired and serviced my bike by the next day and had it working in a better condition than before (actually felt like a new bike to be honest). They explained to me exactly what was wrong with it and what they fixed and replaced. Really great place and people, 100% recommend.

I went in today at roughly 11 for a repair on my very old Apollo not knowing what was wrong. the gentleman who dealt with me said it would take till the end of the day. My vocabulary is not vast enough to describe just how awesome this small, family run bicycle shop is. I have been to nearly every other possible alternative in the North London area. Halfords is the worst, never go there, and some small bike repair shops do not really make the cut - this shop however is different. Different in that the people who work there treated me like a human being, were willing to entertain any kind of naive questioning without smirking or giggling, were patient like good parents ought to be, told me exactly what was wrong and the myriad of options that were available to me. Gave me honest advice on what parts they considered to be genuinely good, and always made it feel like they were going the extra mile for me. I was so impressed that I suggested a colleague of mine go get her bike repaired there. The next day she came back and told me that they had 'treated her like a queen'. And to be fair, this was not far off of my own experience. You walk in, and you feel respected, you feel looked after. And I am glad to say that the tyres and rim that they have placed on my bike have stood the test of time. It has not been around 3 - 4 months, and not a single problem experienced. I cannot stress enough what a disservice you would be doing to yourself and your precious bike if you were to go anywhere else. There are many more points that I could go into, but this will come in a more lengthier and in-depth review, as well as a comparison to that puss-filled cancerous polyp on the anus of wood green - halfords.
