Alex at LEZ Cycles is a charming, friendly and knowledgeable guy. I rocked in without an appointment and he dropped everything to access the work that needed doing to my bike. He knows his stuff and is super knowledgeable of cycles and their repair. Doing the work that is nessesary and never knowingly pressing you into doing the additional work that might need to be done but not nessesary in order to get you bike back on the road. On top of all this, Alex prices are super competitive. Hands down I'd highly recommend LEZ Cycles, Alex is the best 🚲

Alex is a fantastic bike mechanic. After getting quotes from High St retailers, which were through the roof, Alex provided a service for a much more affordable price and I felt any mechanical problems I had, were actually fixed, rather than other stores which just seem to slap on some grease and that's it. I love this place and always recommend to my London friends. The owner is very nice, helpful and passionate and he usually finds a solution for us who need to cycle to work while our bike is getting repaired. The prices are also great. I was once saved from a great trouble by good advice from the owner - one part seemed wobbly (while repairing something else) so he recommended to have it checked out - in a few days, we found it was already snapped in half inside by daily wear and very close to making my bike unrideable. My bike is now fully functional with even some improved settings. Just to note - my bike is a pretty unstandard almost vintage Czechoslovakian piece so not the easiest to work with.

Hands down, Alex at Lez cycles is the best bike mechanic I have ever been to. Apart for being super friendly, and his knowledge exceptional, his prices are super competitive. I have taken my road bike there to get it assembled after a trip, and for two full services, and the result was superb. I have also asked Alex to build me a commuter, and the result, is my favourite bike. My girlfriend has purchased him an old bike and she is super happy with it as well. I cannot reccomend him and his shop enough.

Surely the best bike shop in London - I’m very glad I happened to find it. I brought my bike here after one of the cranks fell off. He fixed it there and then and didn’t want any money. Then he gave me good advice about my bike without any thought to his own profit. Oh, and he lent me a tool to fix my track pump. The guy who runs it is just such a decent, friendly, helpful man.

it's rwally lucky of me to find this nice little place during my stay in london. Wow! Lez cycles (low emission zone) is fantastic. From the old school feel to the friendly staff. Had a mountain bike with busted gear block and chain got a huge quote from a high street store in which made me think about scraping the bike. Got told about a little place call LEZ and gave them a call. The lady on the phone took my details and said shed speak to the mechanic and call me back. When they called me back my mouth and smile hit the floor! They believe in fixing not throwing out a bike ride the minute it has a fault it's basically a shop motto! They book the bike in and sure enough price quoted, price payed! The mechanic was quick efficient and very polite! I'm telling all my bike friends !

I have a Dawes galaxy bike that needed a few repairs and Alex was so fast and professional. He fixed my puncture, and installed new gears and chain for me in no time at all. The bike is running great and the prices are so reasonable. There aren't many bike repair shops in the Queensway/Bayswater area and I am so glad I found this place!

There are simply not enough stars! Alex is so lovely, passionate and really knows his stuff. I had taken my bike to so many shops, and all were quoting me huge prices just to replace my chain and drive train. Alex had a look, and said he could replace those parts and on top of that give it a medium service for a fraction of the price of what the others were saying. He even offered me a courtesy bike to keep me on the road while mine was being repaired (it was going to be ready the next day!). When I came to pick it up, it was like new, I never knew it could cycle like that and he even noticed my bell had broken and fixed it. I couldn't recommend him enough, there's no point taking your bike anywhere else, I was so chuffed when I got mine back!

Alex was awesome. I wanted to get my bike a good service before going on the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, and was prepared to pay a decent amount. Alex said I only needed the main service instead of unselling to the premium service. He also changed my rear tire as I had put it on the right way. Not only that he even followed up to find out how the Ride 100 went. Top notch customer service, Alex actually cares for his customers and their bikes. If you need your bike looked at look no further. Only thing that is a bit hard is finding where his workshop is down its Unit 4 Olympia Mews, his workshop is just next to Fat Tire Bike Tours

First off, google directions only takes you to the nearest main road. it is off Queensway down one of the mews roads, behind "Little Persia". With that out of the way. I have only had one experience here so far but it was excellent. Second flat on a tyre, so it was more than the inner tube . These guys had a good new tyre for my bike in the size that i wanted and changed it then and there inside of 15min. Pricing was more competitive than you will find from Evans (IMO). Worth a visit.

I have now bought 4 bikes from Alex at LEZ cycles, and he is quite simply the best there is. You won't find someone who cares more about your bike than Alex. He builds and refurbs all manner of beautiful old British and continental roadsters, tourers and road bikes with subtle style and solid engineering. For bike repairs he charges a fraction of the big retail chains and you're getting years of experience and the same dedicated attention to detail that their hipster mechanics prefer to give to their moustaches. LEZ is what's missing in your London life - a messy workshop in a garage down an obscure alley where a lovely man is hard at work making beautiful, useful and environmentally friendly machines perform well, because that's what he loves to do. I only wish there were more stars to give
