The sort of people who'll not only do your requested repair (replacing a couple of rear spokes in this case) but will also replace some missing tyre valve caps as an added bonus and not even mention it to the customer on collection. Exactly the sort of place a local bike shop should be.

I had a great experience with London Cycles. I have been here four times and they have helped me and advised me properly each time. They recently serviced my bike and turned an old broken bike back to new for a very reasonable sum. I am really happy. I saw the reviews about rude staff. The team have a sense of humour, which I get. They have been v patient and understanding with me and fitted some bike parts for free when I could not get the bits to fit. I recommendd this shop.

Really nice local bike shop- they seem to know what they are talking about and are passionate about what they do. Unlike with some bigger companies that get kids in to fix the bikes but don’t always have communication skills to converse to you what they want to do or have done- this place is very good. You deal with the actual people who are going to work on the bike. They don’t try to over sell things to you and give fantastic advice. I gave my road bike for a service today and I couldn’t have been more happy. Next week I am taking my hybrid bike in for a service . It’s nice to support a local small business - I will definitely be using them from now on and would thoroughly recommend them. Just because it’s not some big fancy shop doesn’t reflect on the quality of their mechanical expertise.

I realised I had a puncture as I was leaving work and set off for the dreaded 'wheeling the bike home'. I saw that the lights were on in London Cycles. The guy was just leaving but he said he'd sort it out anyway. What a life saver! 5* service, super friendly.

Exceptional. Problem with rear derailleur. Happy to assess and fix on the day for no fee! This, whilst despite it being probably their busiest time due to the increase of cyclists following the outbreak. I will now go there for for everything cycling related and I recommend you do to. I am a novice and appreciate that it may have been an 'easy' fix, but a lot of places would have taken advantage and rubbed their hands at the opportunity and probably kept the bike for a week. I now trust this company and that is what a business/consumer relationship is all about.

AMAZING!!! I have been in the bike shop for the very first time today and honestly those guys are a stars!! They are so friendly, professional and quick!! I wish I would know about them earlier.. I will never ever use someone else to fix my electric folding bike! A huge thanks!!

Very friendly and helpful, quick service. Dropped off a Tern bike first thing in the morning to change a puncture on the rear internal hub gear, got a call about half an hour later with that done, along with tightening of my chain and fixing of my mud guard (which had come loose and I hadn't had time to change). They noticed my worn down brake pads and suggested replacing them, and all this done quickly and at a reasonable price (as compared to Evans cycles...)

Amazing! I emailed them yesterday as I just got paid and my gears were struggling more and more to change. With a sportive on Sunday I was desperate to get it sorted. Would recommend this shop to anyone! Fast, very friendly and affordable bike repairs. My bike was in a real state after the winter. I brought it there, got a text saying it was ready the day later. They had done absolutely everything - even the little places where paint had gone off were painted over, you couldn't even see the spots anymore. They changed the tyres, chain, mudguard... and it was still really affordable. Full cost transparency all the way through, too - they told me what it would cost when I brought my bike there, and even though they did so much, it still stayed at that price. I'm super grateful and will definetly be back.

Absolutely superb local bike shop. They really know their stuff and have given me excellent advice. They did a great job servicing my fold up bike and an excellent setup with an XT crankset for my Kona Kula. They offer very honest advice and really wish I'd gone there before servicing another bike at a more well known chain in Wimbledon! The bikes I have taken there have ridden so well after, very highly recommended.

Confusing name.. this is actually Bright Cycles, they have another in New Malden. Easy to speak and arrange servicing via Facebook. Good workshop - go here instead of Evans!

I've not even had my service done yet and I just know it'll be excellent. From the moment the phone was answered you can just tell they can't do enough for you. I'm calling one day before the RideLondon100 because, like an idiot, I've left the service last minute. This place bent over backwards to try and find a way to get me serviced, so I'm heading in very early doors tomorrow. Life savers. Will probably be going back multiple times after this. Places like Halfords and Evans could learn a lesson or two from Bright.

I can't recommend Bright Cycles enough. I've been to a lot of bike shops in london and heard so much bollocks and been overcharged. But Dave at Bright Cycles is a legend. I trust him to do what I need, do it well, and at a good price. In fact they usually charge too little given bike shops have such low margins since the Internet came along. Ed who runs the new Malden branch is also a legend, who went the extra mile to help me figure out groupset compatability with my old bike, and he also went above and beyond when he found me after a crash and drove me home. Support Bright Cycles - they rock!
