I’ve been to Machine twice recently - to repair a puncture and today to sort an issue with the gears on a newly purchased bike, which I bought elsewhere. On both occasions the guys were super polite and helpful and were able to do the work on the spot. With the new bike, the mechanic took the time to explain the issue and took the bike for a test ride. Happy to recommend Machine to anyone who’s looking for a repair or service.

Trued my wheel perfectly, and perfectly re-tuned the brake and attached my kryptonite wheelnutz correctly (unlike some other shops in the past). Noticed my brake didn't operate smoothly after truing (as it had been installed by me without grease by me and used in the rain) and replaced it for free. Definitely will be relying on this shop in the future!

A great local bike shop and coffee shop. Always super friendly and helpful. I've bought chains, lights and various bike stuff here - they have a really decent range and they ordered in a helmet for me when it wasn't one they stocked. The owner/mechanic fixed a broken spoke and trued my wheel on the spot when I was in a hurry to get to a meeting across town. Also the coffee and cakes are some of the best in London - consistently excellent. A great bunch of people, I'm happy to be able to support an independent business like this in London.

Best bike service I've ever had! Giovanni knows bikes and you can tell he really loves them too! I was kept really up to date by the staff with how the repair was coming along as they knew being without my bike meant a long commute. They solved a tricky problem that I know an Evans or Halfords would have solved immediately by replacing the part (at a much greater cost) rather than a bit of clever thinking and elbow grease. I have found my bike repair place and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Machine - best service in London with the loveliest of people. Thank you!

So I’ve been to Machine a few times now due to the number of punctures I’ve had, and more recently to fit new tyres to prevent these punctures. Every time I’ve been in there the guys have been very welcoming and also very professional. There has never been a long wait to service my bike, even during busy times; very quick turn around time to complete jobs. Great location and reasonable prices, fantastic idea to also have a coffee bar on site so you can even enjoy a drink while you wait. I would just like to personally thank all of the team there for helping me out recently, I will definitely be back in a few months once my tyres wear out so you can help with fitting new ones!!

Best bicycle service in London, quick and great prices! Machine is the only bicycle workshop where you can pop in and get your bicycle repaired while having a coffee. No waiting times, no appointments to be made in advance. Very personal service of the great shop owners and high quality bicycle reparation service. Always equipment to choose from. I´ve even walked from the City Centre to Machine with my broken bicycle as I believe there is no place offering you a better care for your bicycle! Absolutely recommended to all bicycle and coffee lovers :)

I've arrived to the Machine café after 35 min walk with punctured inner tube. It was a busy Sunday afternoon at the cafe and it turned out that the workshop was closed on that day. I was very desperate to get it fixed, as I was unable to return to 45 min away home. Luckily Pete was nice enough to agree to juggle between serving cappuccinos and fixing my bike. He managed to replace the inner tube in the matter of minutes. Pete was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and really saved my day. He also gave me a few very precious mechanical advice in the meantime. I can definitely recommend the place for the great service and atmosphere. If I happen to be in the area again, I will definitely pop in for a coffee!

Having not serviced my bike since I bought it in 2016, it was beginning to show the wear and tear of use. After checking reviews I dropped in post-ride on a Saturday to book it in for a service expecting to have to bring it back in a few days. After an initial chat about condition, niggles I'd noticed and checks, the bike was taken immediately in for repairs with no pre-booking. The only condition was that it wouldn't be ready until mid-week which wasn't an issue for me I was asked how much I wanted to spend on parts and shown a range of differing prices. No pressure was made on getting work done immediately if it could hold out for a little longer. My D lock was tightened back up and it had the good clean it definitely needed. Would definitely recommend and as it's only around the corner I'll be using it again.

after being told at cycle republic that they couldnt fix my flat tyre until the next week (!!!) and they didn't have tyre levers in stock for me to fix it myself, took my bike to Machine after wheeling it home and they fixed it while I waited and had a lovely coffee. Also sold me a great new pump and tyre lever set while being really friendly. Just wish they were located closer to where I got my puncture!

Excellent independent local bike shop. Always welcoming and helpful. From keeping my 'ol steel workhorse running, sorting out wife's Bobbin bike to custom-building my very special Cinnelli Strato Faster. Vitas and his team provide such an important service to the local community. Oh, and their coffee and pastries are pretty good as well- judging by mums and kids spending their mornings there!

I tried a DIY job on my beloved giant road bike and made things a lot worse. I ended up stripping threads off my frame and the bike was in pieces. It had not been serviced for four years so was in really bad shape. After reading positive reviews about here I called in and sheepishly showed my handiwork. I was asked a few pointed questions in a very friendly and professional manner about what I'd done and had an on the spot evaluation on all the other components. He quoted me a very reasonable price for a full service, much cheaper than elsewhere, and accepted parts I brought with me to the shop to replace on my bike. ( bottom bracket, cabling, brake pads). I'm just back after collecting it and taking it on my first ride. I can not get over the quality of the work. It is absolutely amazing! My bike is ten years old and has seen daily use. It was in a sorry state. Now it is like new. Unrecognisable. Trued wheels, tightened hub, replaced cassette, replaced chain, replaced cabling and tuned gearing and brakes (brought in by me), rethreaded and replaced bottom bracket ( brought in by me), cleaning and all over tightening. This was a big service with a extremely reasonable price tag. I am so happy! FANTASTIC WORK DONE WITH CARE! P.s. one of the coolest bike shops I've been in. Beautiful cafe serving a variety of what looks like home baked goods all themed with wood and vintage lovingly restored bikes. I'm never going to another bike shop in London! :-)

5star Service. Can't remember the bike technician's name but he was Hungarian. I went in yesterday with a simple question about my bike and he took a look at it and saw that it was the wheel/rain guard that was making noise on the tires. He didn't pressure me into buying a new one. I then went back later in the day and bought the wheel guards, and more! Will definitely be back to try the coffee too. Thanks!

Iv never wrote a google review before but after picking up my bike this morning I should write one about this bike shop. My fixed gear bike was in poor condition and have given up maintaining it in recent times, Id had enough of riding around on a rattling, dirty and unsound bike and when my break cable snapped that was it!! Machine is on my way to work in London Bridge so I took it in for a mid range service that included checking/greasing etc all the key components, a good clean, wheel truing and had several parts replaced incl chainring, chain, cog, 1x tyre, break cable (inner outer) break pads and bar tape fitted, all good quality parts, the work totalled £180, £55 of which was the service/labour, the rest parts. Vitas texted me to say the bike was ready and went in the next day, the difference is astounding, its a solid ride again with not a single rattle, every part is tight, clean and shiny. If you live near to this shop and need the occasional bit of work doing I seriously recommend this place, the difference between an incompetent self service by me and one carried out by a professional, hassle free, is worth every penny. Thanks Machine!

This place is the cutest and most hard core cycling cafe and shop... all the decor, tables, chairs and stools are upcycled with bicycle parts. The coffee - lethal in that it tastes as it should but is really strong! We loved it even though we walked out with heart palpitations!
