Far and away my favourite bike shop (I’ve tried a few). Run by Mark (and his dogs) it is the place for personal service at a fair price. If you have time, expect a cuppa!
It has a workshop feel, with every possible surface covered with good accessories. Expect to come away with a decent job and a well-prepared bike.
If you’re worried about dogs or with kids they are really benign and Mark will explain how to both give them attention or show that you’re not interested.

Mark is proper old school. Appreciate that might not work for some in this age of appearance over substance but he’s the real deal: a hugely experienced bike shop owner who’s forgotten more about bikes than many will ever learn. He’s a lovely guy who’s very eager to help and can fix almost any problem with your bike. He’s also a mine of useful information about any question on bikes and biking that you might have. A local treasure in other words. We’re lucky to have him.

Brilliant bike shop, affordable help and a very friendly man with three beaut dogs 👌
So glad I stopped off to put some air in my tyres as I got a great chat and some doggo love on the side.
Wish it was my local bike shop!
Thanks

Fixed my vintage KTM last week - Best bike shop experiance I have had - Couldn't reccomend highly enough. Care, speed and attention to detail.

Excellent bike shop! Mark is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I got my bike serviced - it was quick, affordable and overall a good experience! It's great to have such a good local! I definitely recommend

Mark was great at keeping me updated with the work on my bike and did a brilliant job - feels like new. Would recommend and useful he is open Wednesdays now as well.

Always helpful and reasonably priced. I feel i have real confidence in bringing my bike here as the ower has been honest when nothing needs doing and when i do / dont need kit. Personally i love the dogs in store - shame that one reviewer had a bad dog experience with his son, i can understand must be stressful but mine has always been that the dogs are gentle friendly and very sedate.

I have been going to this bike shop for 12 years and it is always a pleasure. Mark is the friendliest local shop owner I know and extremely knowledgable about all things bike. He has helped me fix and service my bicycle on numerous occasions, always for a ridiculously reasonable price. Nothing is too much trouble, even a cup of tea! Highly recommended.

Just taken my bike in for a service. I received friendly customer service from the minute I walked in to the shop. I explained that in addition to the service, I also wanted mud-guards fitted (having been splattered in the rain one too many times recently!) Within 24 hours I received a phone call saying that the bike was ready to collect. Everything was great - the bike had been cleaned, a few bits replaced and the mud-guards fitted. Cycling home was a real treat - it felt like a brand new bike. Very good value too! Thank you for your courteous and efficient service. It also feels good to support this independent retailer in preference to the larger, less personal chains. Highly recommended!

Seriously it's the best independent shop in London! Mark the owner gives always amazing advices. He actually try not to sell his products! He will describe everything that it's less good with your bicycle. I live in Ipswich and every time I need anything more serious I come to London so he can have a look and suggest the best option. All his staff are amazing as well.

It was an amazing customer service from Mark and his colleagues. One of the best bike shops in London and I have been to several pretty mediocre ones (Cycle Surgery and Evan's spring to mind). They have loads of patience, always do a good job and try to keep the servicing costs down! They have been my main bike servicer for the last 10 years and still get the gig even though I now live in Brixton.

Stratton Cycles is possibly the best bike shop I've been to in four cities I've lived in. As a bicycle commuter, I really need honest reliable service and they are five stars on both counts. They took great care of my bike, and when it took a rather terminal turn, took great care to make sure I had an affordable, safe replacement. You cannot go wrong with these guys.

We were very happy with the service offered by the shop owner at Stratton Cycles, we bought an expensive bike which was 200£ cheaper in this shop compared to other shops. The owner and his crew seems very competent and nice, they offer a wide range of services and high quality products!

I had a very good experience with this shop. Took in an expensive bike which another major cycle shop had deemed as unrepairable and good only for the skip, and within a couple of hours they had fixed it! (Do you think maybe the other guys wanted me to buy a new one from them??)

I wanted to buy a bike through the "Cycle to Work" scheme. I checked several shops in the area, including Stratton Cycles. Mike and his colleague were very friendly and knowledgeable, provided me with suggestion regarding the right bike for my commuting. At the end I purchased a Raleigh Strada, which I am very happy about.
A few days ago I had a flat tire close to my work and I brought the bike to a nearby Halfords shop. They changed the tube but failed to understand the real cause of the problem, a tiny piece of glass between the tube and the tire; in the evening my tire was again flat. I brought my bike to Stratton Cycles on the week-end and Mike's colleague found the tiny piece of glass, fixed my tire, checked my brakes and few other fixes.
This is a great independent shop and I definitely going to use them again for my next services and the purchase of my next bike.

I took my bike in for a service after being left disgruntled by the level of attention paid by some of the big chain cycle stores. Stratton's was such a breath of fresh air, the guys were down to earth, not at all pretentious, and couldn't care less that I didn't have the latest seasons bike.
But what really sold it to me was all the small things that were done without mention as part of the service...that kind of attention to detail that you only get from people who are passionate about what they do, and that want to see you come back again as a happy customer. And to top it off the cost of the service was less than I would've paid at one of the big stores.
It's now going to be my go to cycle store.

Mark is amazing. Great service. Knows his stuff about road bikes. I've been searching for a decent bike shop for my road bikes in London and Mark and Stratton Cycles is it. BRILLIANT. My bianchi has never felt better to ride!

Good service, advised me to not buy too much but to get things as I need them. Surely that's a sign of an honest shop!

Popped in today, not looking to buy today. The dude who owns the shop, Mark, was exceptionally helpful advised on the bikes without any hard sale, told me to come back when it wasn't chucking down with rain so I could try a couple out before buying one (having not been on a bike in about 15-20 years) will 100% be buying a bike from this man in the next few weeks.

I'm a bike novice and the man here was extremely helpful and friendly. I was looking for a folding Dawes bike but Dawes' current selection is limited. Instead I've bought a second hand older model and will be bringing it to Stratton's to get it fixed up!

fantastic job overhauling my battered old road bike, thank you!

I think the owner of this shops is a great guy with lots of knowlegde when it comes to 2 wheelers. There is nothing he can't repair. He has been established for ages and knows his stuff well. He is always helpful and friendly. If anyone faults him is not justified!

I've used Stratton's for 15 years, pre and post kids. Most recently they gave huge help with a broken Dawes frame.
I bought it 4 years' back from Stratton's and they followed up with the manufacturer.
Under the manufacturer's 10 year warrantee, I ended up with a new frame and rebuilt bike.
Great service from all concerned.

I've just had my bike serviced here again and once again it feels as though touched by angels. A very reasonable price for a no nonsense excellent service.

I was told by my boss to go to Cycle republic for a bike service, 4 weeks wait, tried Halfords, 3 week wait and Evans closing down.....rang Strattons and talked to Mark who said, no appointment necessary, bring it in...love this guy.

I had a busted up Sturmey-Archer drum hub, Mark & crew were literally the only bike shop in Wandsworth who knew how to fix it! Definitely recommend!
I. V.
